Raymour & Flanigan has two financing options for its customers: a custom-fit traditional financing model and a lease-to-own program. These are industry standard for larger furniture purveyors. Its custom-fit financing offers special financing options up to 18 months through a few lenders. You can apply for financing right on its website. Standard financing terms apply. Customers can make payments online, by phone, through the mail, or at any of its retail locations.
It also has a lease-to-own program through Progressive Leasing. This is a rental or lease-purchase agreement. It is not a loan, credit, or financing. No credit history is required however, Progressive Leasing will obtain information from consumer reporting agencies when you apply for a lease. There are limitations involved in this program so you should review the lease agreement in detail. Raymour & Flanigan also notes that acquiring ownership by leasing costs more than its cash price.
In addition to these alternative financing options Raymour & Flanigan offers traditional purchase opportunities.
Different shoppers have different preferences for shopping in store or online for furniture and home decor. Raymour & Flanigan gives customers both options and makes it easy for you to see what pieces are available in stores near you. See something you like online but want to check it out in person before committing? You can easily see where it is in stock and then head over to the showroom. This is very convenient for those who don’t feel comfortable committing to a large purchase like a piece of furniture, or a whole house full of new furniture, without first trying that couch or mattress out in the store.
Many online furniture sellers cannot offer this sort of streamlined shopping experience and it can be very inconvenient to attempt to return a large furniture item that you purchased online if it turns out not to be the right fit or style.
Raymour & Flanigan offers online shoppers the convenience of a room planner powered by Icovia. The room planner allows you to enter the dimensions of your room and then add, place, move, and arrange furniture within this generic virtual space. Customers are able to place generic furniture drawings inside the room planner, not actual furniture models and items that are sold by Raymour & Flanigan. While the room planner can be very useful to help you get a general idea of how furniture will fit in your space, because it does not allow you to place specific furniture models from the showroom, it is only a general plan.
Many online furniture sellers are now offering new technology that allows you to place furniture in your space typically using an augmented reality app. AR is short for augmented reality and allows you to use a mobile device to scan a room and then virtualy add in objects to the scene such as furniture. Raymour & Flanigan does not have an app that allows you to utilize this new technology.
Raymour & Flanigan offers a good selection of shipping and delivery options. If you select delivery, you may receive it free of charge. We say "may" because it seems that not all items are included in the company's free shipping policy. Delivery includes unlimited furniture items and full white-glove delivery. All items are placed for you. This is a nice perk. Furniture will also arrive assembled!
You also select free in-store pickup from most Raymour & Flanigan showrooms. Items will be opened, inspected, and assembled prior to your pickup. Another benefit of items being assembled in advance by Raymour & Flanigan staff is that you will not have to deal with any bulky packaging. The company recycles 100 percent of the packaging, even the styrofoam. Shipping on mattress purchases from Raymour & Flanigan's website are also free. Assembly is available on some shipped items but not all.
Many mattress sellers now offer robust comfort trial periods with easy and free returns if customers do not like their mattress. Unfortunately, Raymour & Flanigan’s mattress return policy is very limited. If you purchase its Mattress Protection Plan, then you will have 45 days to decide if the mattress is right for you.
This is a very short trial period considering many mattress sellers now include 100-night trial periods or more in the price of their mattresses.
Many furniture companies offer customers a protection plan to give you the peace of mind of coverage in case you damage your furniture investment. Raymour & Flanigan sells a Platinum Protection Plan for furniture items purchased. The cost varies by item. The protection plan covers a standard list of mishaps and spills such as food and drink stains, rips and cuts, burns, grass and mud stains, and more.
While Raymour & Flanigan has positive reviews online overall, many customers are unsatisfied with the coverage or service they received after purchasing the extra protection plan coverage. Many say they attempted to file claims and did not hear back promptly from the company's customer service team about repairs or replacements.
Raymour & Flanigan has a very strict return policy that you should be aware of before making a purchase. Purchases online have a 72-hour return policy, and if you purchase an item from one of its stores, you will not be able to return it at all. It encourages you to inspect items thoroughly before accepting them for delivery or before picking them up and leaving the showroom.
Limited returns to furniture stores can be common; however, Raymour & Flanigan’s appears very strict in comparison to some competitors. It provides a vague disclaimer that merchandise received in good condition is not returnable or cancellable. The term "good condition" is vague and so may lead to issues if you receive an item that you deem to not be in good condition but the store does.
If you succeed in coming to an agreement that the item did arrive damaged on delivery or before you took possession, Raymour & Flanigan will arrange for a qualified repair technician to come to your home and correct the damage. For home décor, arrangements will be made to exchange the item. Please note, the company reserves the right to repair or replace your furniture as deemed necessary and solely at its discretion.
