GEHA vision insurance for retired military personnel is just awful. They will deny things at the drop of a hat-I recently received a denial based on not including a bill for new lenses-which I had indeed included, as I made copies of everything I sent to GEHA. I am going to drop them.

Worst explanation ever when it comes to supposedly after you terminate you have 30 days to have coverage until you find other coverage and that’s not the case. They even nickel and dime you but not explain in your explanation of benefits why they did that.

The problem isn't with GEHA, it's with the new carrier United Healthcare. I had them in in network with Aetna for 7 years and everything about them was excellent! Customer service and coverage. Now I get hung up on and coverage isn't as good.

Dear fellow Federal employees, I'd highly recommend you don't select GEHA as your dental insurance. I had their regular insurance, switched to the High option hoping it'd be better. I was wrong. They don't cover much. They tell you you should have read their pamphlet more carefully. Do Not Do It!

Coverage for miscarriages is nonexistent. They treat it like an abortive procedure which is zero coverage. Insult to injury and just doesn’t make sense.

Poor customer service. Process claims as out of network when the provider is listed as in network on the GEHA website. Not responsive to appeals which are unresolved for months.

Just changed to GEHA. Wife needs a bridge replaced and they say they will only pay $155 of a $5000 bill. Worse company I have ever seen liars. Site say they cover 50%. I need to cancel this useless crap company.
