Worst health insurance company on the market today. I'm an elderly heart patient who can barely walk to my kitchen dragging an oxygen tank to breath. I must walk 5 blocks to pick up my 90-day prescriptions. Humana won't allow 90 days of meds, only 30 which means I pay a higher price each time I have to drag myself down to Walgreens. My doctor must now 'verify' every month that I need the prescription. I hate Humana and can't wait to die so I don't have to deal with this crap anymore. I regret signing up with them.

My father was hospitalized and needed rehab, we found a spot for him close to home and after spending almost a week in the hospital. After waiting almost 3 days to get an answer from them, he was denied because he was "doing better". Of course he would be doing better after almost a week in the hospital. He is 89 years old and now we have to take him home and hope that he can get comparable physical therapy that he would have received at rehab center. So frustrating!!! We will be changing insurance as soon as possible.

Worst Company in America!!!!! Managers are rude and unprofessional, you have to basically fight and beg for a consistent schedule (Working 6-7 days a week). They treat their employees like slaves, the pay isn't all that great and after 5 years of employment here still no raise. I would advise anyone not to be fooled with Humana's ability to charm you into thinking that this is such a great company to work for etc, because once they get you in, I'd say after about the 8 month mark they will start to show you their true colors, but you'll just have to see for yourself.

before choosing Humana I made sure that all of my medications were on their formulary drug list. And they were. So I chose Humana. However, when I tried to get one of my medications filled, the pharmacy told me it wasn’t covered. Oh great just what I need! My doctor had to write me a prescription for a similar medication that did not work as well. Well I called Humana and I got out my book that lists all of the formulary drugs and in fact my medication IS listed in this book! I even told Humana that. I no longer trust Humana! If you choose Humana you are taking a huge gamble!

Humana is nothing more than a pencil pusher. They are greedy, and they take money from Medicare, and only pay out a small percentage to healthcare providers. I have a PPO with them that is a disaster. I cannot wait until October to get rid of Humana entirely. And, also, the so-called manager of Humana through Medicare I found out that he gets a bigger percentage of commission. It's unbelievable how bad Humana is. Even my case worker, who works for Humana cannot believe how bad they are. Need I say more?

Do not fall for there sales gimmicks , I have had Humana now for 2 years . One of the most disappointing insurance companies out there . My drs office will not except there insurance now . They raised my prescription cost without notifying me from $ 31 to 51 for the exact same meds . Let alone I cannot even get one of my meds because the copay is $ 775 a month out of my pocket. So there for I suffer everyday without this medication. Anyone looking into getting this insurance should definitely look elsewhere.

I have been very dissatisfied with Oscar Humana as well as Humana. This is the most disappointing insurance I have ever had in 40 years of Professional experience. I had knee surgery almost 3 months ago and the claim has yet to be resolved. I am very upset. I was required to put down $1500 deposit on the day of surgery and cannot get a refund because Humana has the claim on hold. I have spoken to several representatives at Humana and am no closer to getting an answer than I was 2 months ago. Unacceptable!

Every time I get a new prescription, Humana always has to ask the doctor questions which prolongs the filling of the medicine. Last time this happen I called them and they said they wanted to question the doctor if this medicine was right for the illness. So rediculas they want to play doctor remotely without seeing a patient. I ended up buying the prescription outright for $13.00!!! Worst insurance I’ve ever had in my life and do not recommend nor did I want to give them the 1 star but this survey required it.

Humana has horrible deductibles, barely any coverage in my zone, and is expensive. I should not have to pay a $4000 deductible before my appointments start getting covered. It is also very hard to find clinics that work with my form of Humana.

i help my elderly retired father with his insurance and Humana in my opinion over charges the elderly. he is on a fixed income monthly and he pays $139/monthly just for him. His prescription copay for his Diabetes medication is $35/month for each. His copay to see his speciality physicians are $45 and normal office visit is $35. My father has to see his specialists but with all the cost and fixed income he doesn't want to go sometimes because the costs $$ is overwhelming.

Humana was kind of disappointing. I don't feel like Human has quite as good coverage as some other companies for what I was paying. I also don't feel like there were as many doctors who accepted Humana insurance, especially out of state while we were traveling.

I'm not happy with this insurance. I need corrective surgery on my eye lids. They are saying that they have to authorize this. What? It is not cosmetic! Going to leave this insurance company soon as I can.

They offer gym membership and rides to the doctors office. But they decline preauthorization for flexible sigmoidoscopy August 2019. Also my doctor ordered Canasa supp ($3,060.11 for 90 days) which is not covered and the generic mesalamine ($2,013.57 for 90 days) which is not covered

Humana insurance was horrible. I thought I was purchasing health insurance that would take care of me and my families needs but they did not. They rarely covered the costs of my DME needs and seemed like I was paying too much for an insurance that didn't cover much of anything.

We were on a high deductible plan when my daughter need surgery. I called and had everything pre-authorized for coverage and it was approved. After surgery I was notified that nothing was covered. Luckily I had the Name of the agent and date of the conversation. It ended up being covered but with a fight!! Not a company that I want to be with!!
