Brothers Hubert and Forrest Gilpin founded Gilpin Inc. in 1937. In the 1960’s, Gilpin Inc. branched out from railings to ornamental iron railings and then fencing. The company now manufactures in Indiana and Ohio, and its products are sold nationwide through retailers and fence contractors.
Gilpin Inc. warrants their products against defects that may happen as long as you own the products. There is expected wear and tear that is not included. Aluminum coverage includes rust, peeling, cracking, or blistering that are caused by defects in Gilpin supplied materials. The iron warranty includes scratches, abrasions, nicks, and other defects. Iron rusting, corrosion, or defects in the coating are not covered in the warranty.
Both of Gilpin Inc.’s fences, iron and aluminum, are made to be easily installed by yourself. This means you can save money by not having to pay for an installer, and the project of installing can be less extensive than other fences since the installation was made with customers in mind.
Gilpin Inc. doesn’t provide information as to which states it is located in. It does say that there are a list of retailers that may have the product, but Gilpin Inc. doesn’t have its own stores. It can be difficult to find a location near you that has Gilpin Inc. fencing since it doesn’t have exact locations listed on the website.
Because Gilpin Inc. doesn’t have its own stores, it also does not have its own installers. You are completely in charge of installation, whether you do it yourself or you find someone to do it for you. Gilpin Inc. says the retail stores that carry its fencing may have installation available or know of local installers, but this can be uncertain since each retailer varies.
