The Bad

  • Pricing
  • Selection

Pricing

While you benefit from shopping at a well-known retailer with great service policies, these are more expensive, designer frames. They cost more than most in-house brands from direct to consumer sellers like those offered by EyeBuyDirect, Zenni Optical, and Warby Parker.

Frames range between $69–$535 and, depending on lens options, it can cost an additional $129–$658. So, a pair of glasses with prescription lenses can range between $198–$1,193.

Selection

Some online retailers offer thousands of styles to choose from. At LensCrafters, there are fewer than 1,000 options to shop.

The Bottom Line

LensCrafters is a household name in the United States. You don’t even have to leave the house to order glasses, as long as you have an updated prescription.

Compared to other eyeglass stores, LensCrafters doesn’t have the widest selection, nor does it offer the lowest prices. What it does offer is quality service policies, free shipping, a wide variety of insurance networks, and high-quality designer glasses in the latest trends.
