The Bad

There is a lot of information to digest to properly design an email marketing campaign. It may be difficult to fully use all features during the trial period without committing a significant amount of time to learning to fully utilize all of the features of iContact. Additionally, offering free tools to nonprofits in North Carolina is wonderful, but expanding this offering to certified nonprofits nationwide would benefit many.

The Bottom Line

If you are looking for a full-featured email marketing management system with top-notch design, tracking and analytics, iContact is for you. Our review team found that in their test runs, they were able to complete basic tasks. To get the most out of all of the features, you should expect to spend several hours in a crash course (and the materials are all available free of charge for use) going through all of the features. Tiered pricing is a nice touch and allows smaller companies access to the same high powered tools as the larger ones.

iContact is a superb email campaign manager. The platform allows for customization of some email campaigns allowing for greater success in distribution and timeliness. These campaigns have great analytics that help plan for improvements. They are also a cost effective way to reach many new customers as open rates are high.
