Most of Constellation Energy's plans are fixed to either 12 or 24 months. For customers who move or wish to cancel their service before the fixed-term is up, a hefty cancellation/early termination fee will be applied to their final bill.
Lack of Supplier Choice
Another con, when compared to many competitors, is Constellation Energy's canned plans. Customers are not able to choose their own energy supplier, but rather they must go with the company and rate that Constellation selects. While this may not necessarily raise rates, the option to choose one's energy supplier is a perk that many other deregulated energy companies offer.
