I was told to stop paying my credit and we would settle a lot cheaper than the balance owed.. Six months later I was sued for the balance, interest, and late fees equally $1800 more than the original balance. Their "law team" was unable to reach an agreement with the debtor and now I owe more than the original balance I started with.
