It's all gravey unless you have to leave the program. Any accumulated funds you have in your acct at the time you have to leave suddenly disappear, aren't disbursed to creditors, and you get a pittance of a refund. Ex: I had to leave due to switching jobs that was a $32k paycut and I lost a lot, including being in this program. I had over $1k in my acct. and it disappeared and I got a slap-in-the-face refund of < $3. And they never indicated if I left that funds in my acct would be used towards their "fees."

Customer service in the Spanish division is horrible. Representatives yell at you, they don't listen your claims or questions. Got on hold for a supervisor for an hour. Rep keep giving excuses for not to transfer me to a supervisor. Canceled with them, take your business elsewhere if you want a really customer service driven company. Freedom debt relief is a tacky company. Not worth a JD Power award.

If I could give zero stars, I would. In one year I paid over $7000 to them and they settled just one account and paid themselves an astronomical amount. . When I canceled they would not refund the money in my dedicated account stating that the money was to be paid to FDR again for “their fees” I had four accounts with them and ended up settling three on my own and guess what? No fees involved for me to do it myself.. They make it sound like credit card companies will not negotiate with you. They use scare tactics. Do not trust this company with your hard earned money.

This company will tell you one thing to get you to sign up with them - like you can pay off your balances early & graduate early. That is a lie because I tried to pay off a couple of my accounts early and they told me that I could not - that there had a policy change. I talked with 3 different people and each person told me that I could not graduate early - that there had been a policy change.

What a horrible experience. This company is the worst company I've ever dealt with. And I've had Comcast. Do not ever get into a debt consolidation plan. My credit score went from 700 to 501 and this is just year 1. They don't actually care about you. We haven't been able to make a payment to our account for two months now. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and they still don't care. Now they expect us to pay over $1400 in the next 3 weeks for their mistake. Freedom has shown that they don't care about their customers. Stay away. I wish we had filed for bankruptcy instead.
