When I first signed up I thought this was a good answer for the predatory rates I was paying on other debts. The fees were mentioned but was not sure what they were until I saw some of the settlement amounts come in. For an $11,000.00 debt the fee was 23 %. This is on top of the other monthly fees that you pay for legal services; $7.25 Monthly Fee, $12.00 Legal Fee. I don't know but I would imagine that this fee is spread over the length of the program because they did not take it out all at once yet. As far as negotiations go I received a settlement amount of $3,979.59 from a credit card company on a $8,843.54 debt in the mail. I forwarded this to FDR thinking this was the right thing to do. Now I am not so sure. They say there firm is negotiating with these people, now I wonder what that means. When I called FDR they kept repeating the mantra of; "It was all in your contract." I guess I am fortunate that a kidney or part of my liver wasn't part of the contract. I know they mentioned the monthly fees but I sure as heck don't remember anything about 23%. If this company is the best one out there I am sure glad I did not hook up with the worst one.

I am severely disappointed in the communication between NLLG and FDR, which left me in a position to be served by the County courts. I made a number of attempts to talk with CS only to be told not to worry that things were being handled, yet I had not received any updates from FDR about ANYTHING. When I received the documents from the county courts, I talked to Andrew in Advanced Services and he was very helpful, but still there apparently had been no communications between FDR and NLLG regarding the account that payments should have been made to--Discover. Hopefully now payments are been made, but I have not been told that for sure by FDR. The Senior Attorney for NLLG reassured me that things had been worked out and FDR would be making the payments that should have already been made since January 2018. Better communication between NLLG and FDR needs to be implemented immediately--communicate with each other.!!!!

I wish I had read about them first. The let the fee's and interest build up, settle for the original balance or a little less, and then charge you a huge fee for all this... all while your credit plummets! If you have nothing to lose, it takes your stress away. I was looking to save myself (after cancer treatment) as the bills started pouring in... wrong decision under my circumstances! Now I have no credit and the same amount of debt! If I could only start over...

After a year, the experience has been okay. FDR never informed me that the amount saved would be taxable; the fees were not clearly explained. I was under the impression there would not be fees, at least that's what I was told when I contacted FDR. Considering the lawsuits filed against them, both past and present, they need to be more upfront about the charges and not boast about "How great they are". I regret joining them, and even more so I regret that my credit score will be adversely impacted at the end of the program. I will have a worse credit score then I had at the beginning.

Their practices seem sketchy. I was told to stop paying on my credit cards and be penalized on them before they were able to help me. I'm very uncomfortable with that and it also seemed dishonest. The lady also tried to tell me, basically, that my husband's opinion didn't matter and I should do what I want no matter what my husband says.

I chose debt relief instead of filing bankruptcy. They take out $440 a month to disburse between my creditors but $220 goes directly to their “fees” totaling $1800 so far. Unfortunately, they only seem to work with one creditor at time. My credit score has plummeted due to their advice of stop making payments. I am sitting at a 500 right now and kinda nervous about this whole process. They have fully resolved 1 debt and in the process of closing out 2 others. I started the program in June of 2017 with 9 accounts in which they have saved me $6000 so far.

FDR takes their fees off the top of each payment, making it hard to have enough funds available in the account for Settlement Offers. If they would take their fees at the end, then I firmly believe that accounts could be settled a lot quicker, thus causing less damage to our personal Credit Reports.

POOR COMMUNICATIONS WITH CLIENTS. THEY DO WHAT THEY SAY BUT YOU NEVER HEAR FROM THEM DIRECTLY! THEY HAVE A DASHBOARD WHICH DOES NOT GIVE MUCH INFORMATION AND ISN'T REALLY EXPLAINED TO YOU. i WOULDN'T BE THERE CLIENT IF I HAD IT TO DO OVER AGAIN.
