They do settle your debt and help you manage it but it does destroy your credit and they do have high settlement fees that they charge once a debt is settled. Also don't purchase the extra legal protection complete waste of money. Overall they did what they said the would do and everybody is super nice, friendly, and helpful. I am halfway done with the program.

However, after the full settlement amount is paid to and processed by a creditor, they may report to credit reporting bureaus that your account is settled in full, settled, paid, paid in settlement, or settled for less than the full amount. You no longer owe on this account and the balance is zero. That debt is behind you and your credit report shows it. I was very skeptical. Even up to the very end, just before we reached my settlements. I thought I'd end up owing more than the original amount by $6,000. That is how it was looking. But, just like I was advised at the beginning, they caved and lowered my final settlement amount. Thank you FDR. I would recommend this to anyone over their head in debt.

Great consultants and great service. Took time to explain in detail whenever I had a question. Would improve dashboard by adding remaining amount somewhere. Had to calculate manually by adding remaining payments and deciding by number of payments left.

I don't like that they only reference the creditor that currently owns the debt and not the origination account. I also have difficulty getting a hold of anyone, and chat is just horrible. I would like to be able to control my payments rather than having to jump through hoops to fix something when an emergency comes about....without having this flexibility "Debt Relief" seems kind of humorous when the program itself creates a debt issue. I don't like that I sometimes have to deal with my own credit issues if they don't fall inside the perfect "cookie cutter situation". I have been contacted several times about a consolidation, have submitted my information and it NEVER goes any further than saying I'm a candidate for a consolidation loan...no one ever follows up. Other than the above issues....they have been pretty good at taking my money, settling debts at a lower cost and creating payment arrangements to debtors, something, if you have the time to do yourself, might save you some money. Unfortunately, I work two jobs trying to catch up and I don't have time to be on the phone constantly trying to resolve debts with creditors, so I will pay to have someone else do it for me.
