I was very skeptical. Even up to the very end, just before we reached my settlements. I thought I'd end up owing more than the original amount by $6,000. That is how it was looking. I don't like that they only reference the creditor that currently owns the debt and not the origination account. I also have difficulty getting a hold of anyone, and chat is just horrible. I would like to be able to control my payments rather than having to jump through hoops to fix something when an emergency comes about....without having this flexibility "Debt Relief" seems kind of humorous when the program itself creates a debt issue. I don't like that I sometimes have to deal with my own credit issues if they don't fall inside the perfect "cookie cutter situation". I have been contacted several times about a consolidation, have submitted my information and it NEVER goes any further than saying I'm a candidate for a consolidation loan...no one ever follows up. Other than the above issues....they have been pretty good at taking my money, settling debts at a lower cost and creating payment arrangements to debtors, something, if you have the time to do yourself, might save you some money. Unfortunately, I work two jobs trying to catch up and I don't have time to be on the phone constantly trying to resolve debts with creditors, so I will pay to have someone else do it for me.

The staff are very interested in helping me figure a way to resolve my debts. They have always been very helpful and friendly. I like how I receive emails when the negotiating is in progress and how I'm doing. I like that I can look into my account and see how my debts are going down. The thing I didn't like was, waiting so long to get the creditors answered to why it was taking so long to hear from them. The creditors calls was the worse than ever. Especially when I was getting letters and subpeonas and liens against my home. This was too much! I don't know if I would ever do this again. Freedom did not tell me in the beginning that this was a possibility at all. Many times I thought of quitting the program. It was very stressful.

I was quite happy with FDR up until this past August (2019) to January 2020. I deposited close to or at $9000 hoping to finish out my “graduation” early because it’s an option. Well I’ve been getting the run around ever since. Each time I’ve called and talked to someone different and every time they “expedited me to the front of the line” but I have yet to see these debts closed out. It’s becoming very frustrating because I deposited almost $4000 over what was owed to my debtors to make sure that I would be completely covered. I did this because I was told that from the time I deposited the money that it shouldn’t take longer than 30 days to receive my balance back. Well it’s been a little more than 30 days and I have yet to see my balance returned with no clear end in sight and they’re still deducting money from my account even though it’s clearly not needed. Tread carefully when doing business with FDR. At the very least, if you want to speed up your graduation, don’t put a cent over what is needed to pay off what is owed.

I was very hesitant to start the program but now i am so relieved. They do really help you pay off your debt. For me it was not a loan but they are paying all my debt slowly. It is a slow process, I gave four because I did not know it would take this long so if you are going to buy a house or a car I wouldn’t suggest this because your credit score goes down drastically. But it will go up slowly. It is good for me personally because I am not planning anything for about a year. The customer service team is great too. They answer the phone super quickly and answer all your questions.
