Bottom line if you are even a marginal good looking don’t bother you’re not going to succeed on plenty of fish. You’ll either get a read/delete or unread/delete. 90% of the women and men will just judge you by your first pic, then drop you like a bad habit. And paying for it doesn’t make it any better you just get to see who dropped you. It’s a place where vain people hang out

1. they delete photos if your face is not full frontal 2. they send you a warning if you complain about another member who works for an escort service 3. there are so many fake members that I finally informed the FCC for internet fraud 4. the system does not really work if you are not a paying member 5 . many pics of women are just internet shots. If you go to scamdigger, a website that looks for fakers, you see many faces from magazines or other sources. 6. POF is not worth the free or the paid membership. AVOID!!!

TOO MANY people are able to use various methods to scam. I can usually spot most of them and have never lost any money, however, it's all the wasted time and effort spent, before you realize they are fake. What frustrates me the most now is POF does little or nothing to stop what is happening... even though I've reported fraud on many occasions. Most recent, my own profile was stolen and replaced by the same profile being used to try to scam me. POF can't (or won't) find out who this is, reset my password, or FIND my profile and get it back.

SkydiverGuy ,

NEVER pay for an upgraded POF membership. The number of people who supposedly "Like" you includes such things as memberships that have been deleted, etc. In my case, the purported number was 50% more than the actual. Of the remaining accounts, NONE were worth Liking back. Also, if you do pay to upgrade, they will continue to renew your account every time it's due. You have to fish (no pun intended) through the pages to find the area to do the cancelation. If you forget, you're stuck because all sales are final. CROOKS, with no care for customers. Don't waste your money on POF.

The most worst site for serious relationship seekers. In Australia it's mostly used for hook-ups. Everyone there is for ONS I didn't know until I got demands men wanting to come to my house. I have very clearly mentioned, my adult sons were living with me & I was looking towards long term relationship/marriage. But no, they just made up there mind and kept nagging it. Some comments were horrendous. I gave up & joined a genuine site. Much safer & educated men.

HORRENDOUS AND EXHAUSTING because I (apparently naively) did not realize that Plenty of Fish is essentially a hook-up app. Even the few "nice" guys that I met on Plenty of Fish started talking about sex before we had even exchanged our third text message. If I wasn't willing to send a guy a nudie picture or "meet" him on a chat app, he would ghost me. I am TOO OLD for this crap!!! After a week of fending off a constant stream of creepy, offensive messages from, well, CREEPS, I was totally exhausted and deleted my profile off of the site.

Tons of fake profiles! Watch Investigative Discovery, people have been murdered using this site. Waste of money! Lots of hookers and other unsavory characters use this site posing as regular people. Don't bother paying for this trash, when there are so many bad actors on POF for free. Always issues trying to log into this site. They steal your photos and then use them to make fake profiles.

I am hoping to help others avoid what Plenty of Fish did to me. I subscribed for two months. They put me on auto renew so my my subscription renewed against my wishes. So even though I agreed to only subscribe for two months they billed me again for two more months i.e. 4 months which is not what I agreed to. When I requested a refund they said they will not refund me. Please reconsider doing business with Plenty of Fish. They are willing to deceive people over such a small amount of money. Can you trust them with your private information and dating life? Thanks

Bad, scam, never meet no body, use profile of the people no use the web no more to hook new people and promote the fake profile because is not actively any more like is active and you try to contact and never can't meet the person. And you live in east coast and try to meet people from east coast but the e-mail coming with pacific time. Is totally SCAM. 0 recommended.

Not only is this a paid site for the most part, but trying to get out of it after you sign up is a nightmare. On multiple occasions I have unsubscribed from their newsletter only to receive it again and again. I can't tell you how frustrating that is. As far as the quality of the app and the site they have is just poor. Clunky and tough to navigate through compared to other dating sites.

Plenty of Fish is different and incredible for long lasting relationships. Does not participate as much as other websites in hookup culture, which is effective for finding genuine connections between people.

an absolutely horrible way for men to meet women. unless your top 2% of men. since about 98% of the women on there have impossible standards, and literally remain single forever thinking they are the one who is gonna meet a high value man off there. if your young rich and buff, you'll be ok, if not, its a lost cause. Men- run away.

This post needs to be updated. They charge now $79.99 1st contact fee It's several months at $12.99 or something stupid. Then there are tokens as well. You can view all you want! ( you are unable to send messages) or view people who like you I just deleted my account It's absolutely not fully free anymore the whole site is changed.

Plenty of Fish is full of fake/scam profiles and flat out ignores user preferences. I have my settings for looking for men 40-55, but it mainly shows me women 22-26 and the occasional 28-32 year old man. Not sure what the point of preferences is if it ignores them.

Recently POF made many changes, most of which are making things tougher for users so that you'll be forced to pay for subscription. One of the changes is to limit the amount of messages you can send to one or two a day unless you pay up. It was good before, but now it's simply a website that's only out to gouge users.

POF used to be great about 10 years ago. Now it's not worth the effort. I've noticed with each passing year, my profile views are fewer and fewer. The messages have dried up. My latest profile had 3 views in 2 months. No replies. So to me this site is officially dead.

Bad in every way and it continues to get worse! The quality of women and the amount of fake profiles make it a total waste of time. Now you can only message one person every 24 hours it is effectively dead. This is the worst dating site of all (they are all bad!)

Well good luck even trying to set up an account on here. You get caught in their loop and it just keeps making you repeat the same questions and answers. Then you try making a new account, then you finally get one, then they say you have violated their terms. Hells bells, how can you violate their terms if you can't even get a profile completed!

First, Plenty of Fish billing department phone number is: 1-888-345-4454 . I called them to request that they refund my credit card after not being able to search some age groups using the search feature. They limit what age ranges you can search for profiles. So from the start, the app is already defective.

I wouldn’t even give POF one star. I find the site to be a meat market without having to go out physically to meet someone. Personalities are completely different to how a user acts when chatting on this site. Drugs are illegal so why have that option on the registration page. It’s the worst dating site ever!

The site itself is fine. Its their customer service that's abysmal. My upgraded account keeps getting hacked, and they do nothing about it. Because there is no customer service unless you want to upgrade or spend money on something. Their service would actually have to greatly improve just to climb to the rank of pretty horrible service.

So many scammers on this site every day I jumped on. At least 10 a day it’s ridiculous. Makes it very hard to find anyone genuine at all. Have to make a new account everyday as POF won’t take my password when I log on it’s madness.

POF has married and committed, monogamous men on it often. It does not screen at all. So? Wait till you fall in love with one, and find out later. Also, they do not respond to complaints about fraud. And their customer service is terrible.

Completely useless. Men typically date women younger than themselves. Women age faster than men. If you use your honest age then you are stuck with older women that have become invisible to you. Worse, the women online are jaded, suspicious and unhappy. Not anyone you would want to meet.

So I feel like the push notifications, whether valid or not, are just there to make you open the app. User interface was pretty basic. No use in paying for premium
