TekDash is a technology support company that aims to provide services and support to clients with computers, mobile devices, networks, smart homes, and more. The concept is that you can request help from a “Tek” either remotely or in person, should you require assistance with almost anything technology based — from setting up a printer to making sure your child has the right cybersecurity software on his/her device.

TekDash’s current CEO is Shawn Varughese, who has held different roles in the technology and security consulting fields as well as roles in software development and sales. The company is headquartered in Washington, D.C. and was founded in 2018.

The Good

  • Variety of Services
  • Pricing
  • Flexibility

Variety of Services

TekDash has a team of technicians that can handle a wide variety of support services you may be in need of. These include all of the following, plus more:

  • Computer troubleshooting and virus removal
  • Printer setup
  • Video streaming device setup
  • Wi-Fi network setup and troubleshooting
  • Smart device installation and setup
  • Remote learning and cybersecurity setup
  • Mobile device support

These services are offered either remotely or on-site, depending on the nature of the service.

Pricing

TekDash has remote services starting at $60 and on-site services starting at $80. These are one-time fixed costs for anything from computer installation to home theater setup to wifi network setup, etc.

Prices may be higher for some services, because pricing is based on the average time of the repair, so longer repairs will be charged for each additional hour beyond the first 90 minutes. For on-site services, the additional hourly rate is $60 per hour, and for remote services, the additional hourly rate is $40 per hour.

Flexibility

TekDash is an on-demand service, meaning you can request its services when you need, and a technician near you will either assist you remotely or come to you in person. Its “Teks” have flexible hours in order to better be available when you require help.

The Bad

  • Very Little Information Provided
  • Not Available Everywhere

Very Little Information Provided

TekDash’s website doesn’t provide a lot of information about the company or how it came to be. It also makes no mention of where the company’s services are and aren’t available, nor does it really explain the mission or vision of the company.

The lack of information provided about the company makes it hard to make a judgment call about whether it would be a good fit for your needs.

Not Available Everywhere

TekDash is a fairly new company and still growing, so its services, specifically its on-site services, are not available everywhere. However, the company’s website does not specify where the on-site service is already operating, so customers won’t know until they go to sign up whether this option is available to them.

The Bottom Line

TekDash seems like a fairly average technology support company that is fairly new to the market. Its website doesn’t have a ton of information, but the company does provide a wide variety of services that might be of use to you if the company operates in your area.
