Mystery Escape Room is a live entertainment experience in which a group of people enter a themed room full of puzzles, riddles, and secrets. The group must work together to follow the clues that will lead them to be able to escape the room within a time limit.
Founded in 2014, Mystery Escape Room attempts to provide a one-of-a-kind experience for all. Unlike other entertainment venues, Mystery Escape Room aims to get people moving and involved with the story.
While most people go to entertainment venues to sit and be entertained, Mystery Escape Room provides a unique experience where family, friends, co-workers, etc. can interact and work together to escape the room. There are a variety of different rooms, so customers can come back multiple times and “escape” a new room.
However, Mystery Escape Rooms does state that some of the puzzles and riddles may be difficult for children under eight years old — so groups with younger children may want to keep that in mind. Additionally, Mystery Escape Room requires an adult to be present with groups of people 8 to 14 years old.
In addition to visiting the physical locations, Mystery Escape Room offers an online escape room. These escape rooms allow friends, family, corporate teams, and anyone else to play remotely using Google Hangout.
Currently, there is only one online escape room: Minutes to Midnight.
There is another online escape room in the works, but there is no mention of when it will be available.
Mystery Escape Room offers private events, which are a great option for corporate events or team building activities.
Customers can call or visit the company page to learn more about private group rates.
Consumers should be aware that some of the rooms are small, there is low lighting, and there may be flashing lights and loud noises.
However, Mystery Escape Room can deactivate some of these effects to accommodate anyone in the group.
We recommend calling the company beforehand and getting more details about each of the rooms and speaking with a company representative about deactivating the effects if possible.
As of 2020, there are only three Escape Room locations:
