Since 1919, Kitchenaid has been making kitchen appliances, from its popular stand mixers to refrigerators and stovetops. The company’s comprehensive range of products support its cause — making the kitchen a place of endless possibility. Kitchenaid has four series of blenders ranging from more affordable to its expensive pro line series to fit various blending needs of consumers.

The Good

  • Range of Pricing from Affordable to Expensive
  • Additional Accessories Available
  • Color Options Available
  • Soft Start Feature
  • Simple Controls
  • 5-Year and 10-Year Warranties

Price Range from Affordable to Expensive

Kitchenaid, unlike other blender companies, sells blenders in a price range from affordable to expensive. The K150 is $99.99 to $149.99, the K400 is $249.99 to $259.99, the High Performance series blender is $399.99, and the Pro Line series blender is $449.00. The company’s price range gives consumers with various budgets more options while being able to shop within the brand.

Additional Accessories Available

The K400 and K150 series blenders have additional accessories available: the personal blender jar and the small batch jar. These accessories may appeal to consumers who like to take a single serving smoothie on the go without the hassle and additional cost of owning a separate personal blender.

Color Options Available

Kitchenaid is unique in that it offers its blenders in different colors ranging from classics such as black and white to blue velvet or pistachio. Most blenders offered by other competitors are black. For a consumer that leaves their blender out on the counter, Kitchenaid’s color options may be more incentivizing as it can match or enhance a consumer’s kitchen esthetic.

Soft Start Feature

Kitchenaid blenders come with a soft start feature. This feature starts the motor at a slower speed to pull food into the blade, then quickly increases the speed to the selected speed to create a smoother blend and avoid splatter.

Simple Controls

The controls on all of Kitchenaid’s blenders are simple and user friendly. The blenders are not inundated with programs. With just two dials and two switches in its most high performing blenders, consumers have the range of power and functionality needed to power healthy blends.

5-Year and 10-Year Warranties

Kitchenaid offers a five-year and ten-year warranty on its most expensive blenders: the K400, the High Performance series blender, and the Pro Line series blender. The K400 blender has been compared to its competitor Ninja. Although the price of the K400 is more expensive than the Ninja, Kitchenaid offers a five-year warranty, while Ninja only offers a one-year warranty. These warranty lengths may prove to be cost effective for consumers who can afford the upfront cost.

thumb_down

The Bad

  • Not as Versatile as Other Competitors
  • 1-Year Warranty for K150 Blenders

Not as Versatile as Other Competitors

Kitchenaid’s High Performance and Pro Line series blenders have similar price ranges as its competitor Vitamix. Vitamix blenders boast versatility in its blenders with capabilities including, but not limited to, nut butters, doughs, and non-dairy milks. Kitchenaid’s High Performance and Pro Line series are not as versatile as Vitamix blenders and are limited to soups, smoothies, juice, and sauces.

1-Year Warranty for K150 Blenders

When buying a blender, consumers may look at the warranty to have a general indication of how long the blender may last for. The Kitchenaid K150 blender only has a one-year warranty while the other Kitchenaid blenders have five-year and ten-year warranties.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Kitchenaid offers a range of blenders in affordability, function, and aesthetic to fit various needs of consumers. While Kitchenaid does offer similar robust warranties for its high-performing blenders, the high-performing blenders are not as versatile as other blenders on the market. For consumers that are not interested in using a blender to create food such as dough or nut butters, this may not be a problem. The K440 blender, with a more affordable price tag, has a notable five-year warranty that sets it apart from other affordable blender competitors.

What I truly appreciate about the KitchenAid blender is its flexibility of use. It offers various speeds and has a pulse function which can help to get the right texture for every dish. The design is quite modern and the appliance blends well with other kitchen equipment that I own.

I have had my kitchen aid mixer forever but I recently purchased the K400 blender. It's pretty good. It came in different colors but I got the metal colored one. It's good blending my salsa. I've never used their customer service but their is no option for not applicable.

I recently added a KitchenAid appliance to my kitchen arsenal, and I have to say it lives up to its reputation for quality and versatility. The first thing that caught my attention was the iconic design – it's not just a mixer; it's a statement piece. The build is robust, and it exudes a sense of durability that gives me confidence in its longevity.

Our KitchenAid blender is now 8 years old and going strong. We use it almost daily, sometimes several times a day. Incredibly well made, outstanding quality and ease-of-use. We bought one for each of our kids for their homes.

It's Kitchen Aid! Of course, it's the best! Love their products! I have purchased small appliances, oven mitts, kitchen towels, and small kitchen "chachkas" and they are all quality, and to be honest for that quality the prices are not bad at all. And of course there's the infamous Kitchen Aid blender.....I love all the colors that this product comes in! Had to get red to match the red, black, and white Mickey theme of the kitchen. Yes, this can be pricey, but it's top notch when it comes to how well it's made and how easy it is to clean!

Oh kitchenAid, how I love thee! Let’s start off with I LOVE to cook and bake. My KitchenAid is the most used and abused item in my house and she still stands ready for the work! My bread comes out perfect because the help of it! Noodles; perfect! Cakes and cookies, yep perfect! We’re 14 years in together of countless weekends, holidays and spur of the moment baking and I’ve never had issues with it!

I absolutely love my KitchenAid it’s a little pricey but with Arthritis in my hands it’s kneads the dough for me for bread. I’d love to get some attachments but they’re too pricey so I’ll do without them. My husband bought this for me otherwise I wouldn’t have paid the price but like I said it has helped me big time. If you can afford it and have hand issues then it’s a must.

I have several KitchenAid devices. I have a blender, a stand up mixer and knives. I love them all. My blender was the first one I got. I had to replace the peace that holds the blender part on. When I called they knew exactly what I was talking about which is amazing because I wasn’t even sure if I was describing it right. They ordered the the part with no hassle. Great company and customer service.

High performance products with long warranty. I think life 5 to 10 years depending on the model. I got one the blenders for my wife a year ago and it was really good with very professional design. It's a little bit on the expensive side but it's worth the price.

So one year I decided to get one as a present for my wife, and was so happy to receive it she had tears in her eyes. The attachments you can get for this product are amazing. The quality of KitchenAid is absolutely unmatched. If I could only have one appliance in my kitchen, it'd be my KitchenAid stand mixer (I am an avid baker). I love the quality and timelessness of their products, and I can always count on the convenience they provide as well.

I have a cordless 7 speed hand mixer and a blender from KitchenAid. I have had the hand mixer for 2 years and have not had any problems with it, dishwasher safe, still looks like new. I love the fact that it is cordless a big plus. My 3-speed ice crushing blender is dishwasher safe, and I have to say the blades are very sharp.

I have a KitchenAid mixer with the attachments. That I like very much. My parents had mini KitchenAid products and never had an issue with them. After they passed, we sold their refrigerator which was probably 8 to 10 years old on an auction and it’s still brought a very good price. But it was in great shape.

My mom got me a KitchenAid blender and it is huge compared to what I usually use. It was pretty tricky to operate because I'm old school when it comes to appliances (I like pressing a button and you're done) but this one has a knob and that threw me for a spin. But once I got the hang of it, it worked well! It juices even though it's a blender because it has a juicing option. So I end up taking a bunch of fruits and veggies and blending them with water until they turn out to be juicey (usually green juice because of the Spinach and kale). So it's my own little juicer, haha.

Great piece to have however you definitely need something to bake or make otherwise if you are not a cook…don’t buy. I love to cook and probably only use 5-7 times a year unless I’m baking…now if you don’t care about blood sugars…bake away! It’s like having a third hand in the kitchen!
