Sitey has made a company that really works to fill all of their customers’ needs. They offer many different plans, each with different benefits, to their customers so they can customize the experience they have while building their website. While offering such a wide range of features, they continue to provide them at an affordable rate for their clients.

With a variety of plans that span a wide range of prices and available features, there is something that any customer will be able to use. For the customer who is looking for the most basic plan, there is the free plan. This plan would work perfectly for a wedding website that allows guests to check details of the event, or a similar type website. They offer 5 pages, 50MB of storage, 5MB file upload and 1GB bandwidth. This plan does not offer a lot of size or features but it is functional for a start-up website until the customer decides exactly what other features they want or need. If the customer decides they need a few more options and room to grow, they can purchase the Starter package for only $12.44 a month. This package comes with more storage, pages and file uploads. It also gives the customer a free domain and will remove ads. They have access to Google analytics to help manage their site. But if the customer wants more help in driving traffic to their site they would benefit from the Pro package, which is Sitey's most popular package. With this deal, the customer pays $17.44 a month and gets all of the features of the lesser packages plus many more. Some of the most important added features are mobile sites and SEO integration. These key features are important for making sure the website will continue to grow and bring in more visitors. The only feature missing from the Pro package is the ability to add an online store to the website. This feature is only available through the eCommerce package. This package allows customers to add in product galleries and accept payments for $24.94 per month. This variety of options for the customer allows them to work within their set budget to make the website that they want. There is something for every type of website and every budget. The customer can always upgrade packages if they decide they need more of the features offered in other packages, or downgrade if they don't use all the features they are paying for.

Some features are very important for making sure a website is as successful as it can be. One of those features is Search Engine Optimization (SEO), where the website owner can add keywords into the site's content and coding. These keywords are placed so that when someone searches for those or similar words on search engines, like Google or Bing, this specific website comes up in the results. This is a really helpful practice to bring new visitors and drive traffic towards the website. Sitey does offer this service, but not to all of their customers.
  • Only customers who have purchased the Pro or eCommerce packages have access to SEO tools.
  • Similarly, the option to have a mobile version of the customer's website is only available to those who have purchased the Pro or eCommerce packages as well.
This is true even though all of the available pre-designed templates have the option to become a mobile site. Since mobile sites are important to make sure that customers can access the website anytime and anywhere, if customers want to be successful they will have to upgrade their package. The customer service options available for use are not very extensive. They only offer email and a Frequently Asked Questions page. The email service is taken care of by a parent company that also handles several other website building companies. This can cause some confusion in the answers they give, since each site offers very similar features and packages. The email service is not immediate either and can take over a day to receive an answer.

The Bottom Line

The number of plans or packages offered by Sitey is relatively large compared to some of their competitors, which is a benefit to customers since they can choose exactly what they will use on their site. But some of the essential features are not offered across the board and the customer might have to choose between their budget and the features they want. I am a customer of SITEY and absolutely appalled by their customer service and dealing with issues arising from their own developer rendering of files that a customer has NO control over. For nearly a month now there has been RENDERING issues, which I checked on GOOGLE developer page load speed test, as I was wondering why my site was loading the it was, here are problems with my website loading: Eliminate render-blocking JavaScript and CSS in above-the-fold content Your page has 5 blocking script resources and 1 blocking CSS resources. This causes a delay in rendering your page. None of the above-the-fold content on your page could be rendered without waiting for the following resources to load. Try to defer or asynchronously load blocking resources, or inline the critical portions of those resources directly in the HTML. WHAT? what kind of website building platform tells their customers basically, they will have to put up with a slow and badly loading website, and still after nearly one month the problem still exists. This should be made illegal in someway as I'm paying FULL subscription rates for a service I am not receiving. The problem being moving a creating another website on another platform, as SITEY is drag and drop platform, will not only be time consuming but means my business website would have to be cancelled whilst looking elsewhere.

Awful. I was paying a ridiculous amount each month which made no sense. I tried to cancel multiple times and they would ignore me and try to offer add ons! I then got charged £40 out of no where and got sent an email stating add ons I had purchased when I never did. I contacted my bank who have got my money refunded and have blocked payments from sitey. They can just take money out your account with no explanation. Avoid.

Poor customer service. And they nickle and dime you with everything. If you buy the most basic version they restrict a lot of things from you including the favicon just to annoy you enough to upgrade. They even make you pay extra just to get some decent support. Also be careful when you check out as they try and sneak add-ons on you, and there will not refund despite the "30 day money back guarantee" . There is good template and it is very user friendly and if they just took care of the bad customer service and the nickle and dime attitude they would be my top choice.

They charge all kind of hidden fees. When you call you always have to threaten the person on the phone to have them refunded. If you want your website to show up anywhere on the net you have to pay another 49.99 one time fee. It's so unexceptable. You spend weeks to make sure it's perfect only to be slammed with fee after fee. So disappointed and disgusted!
