Kohler was founded by Austrian immigrant John Michael Kohler. In 1873, Kohler purchased a foundry in rural Wisconsin that produced a variety of cast-iron and steel products. Ten years later, he began to manufacture products specifically for bathrooms and kitchens, including tubs. Today, Kohler is one of the oldest tub companies in the world and is focused on providing comfortable, simple, and clean walk-in tubs to each of its customers.

Lifetime Limited Warranty

Kohler's walk-in tubs are covered by a lifetime limited warranty, which covers manufacturing defects on all Kohler tubs components including but not limited to the bath door seal, any hydrotherapy systems, and the Kohler faucet and handshower. The company warrants its products will be free of material and workmanship defects during normal residential use for as long as the original purchaser owns his or her home.

Industry Experience and Expertise

Kohler is one of the oldest walk-in tub providers in the world; the company has been leading the industry in plumbing technology for well over a century. During this time, Kohler has worked to advance its products in form, function, and style through research and thoughtful engineering.

Safety Features

Kohler’s walk-in tubs include a variety of safety features to keep customers safe and secure as they ease in and out of their bath. For example, the company’s 3-inch step in is among the lowest of any other walk-in tub on the market and its easy-to-grip handrails, including interior grab bars and exterior side frame handrails, help users to get in and out of their seat securely.

Comfort

In addition to top-notch safety features, Kohler walk-in tubs feature 10 hydrotherapy jets and 17 air jets; heated back, neck, and shoulder surfaces with three temperature settings; an extra-wide seat that’s up to 30 percent deeper than other tub seats on the market; quick fill times and fast-drain technology; and a multifunctional handshower to ensure a high level of comfort and relaxation for users.

Design Ideas and Finishes

In addition to providing safety and comfort, Kohler has crafted its walk-in tubs and accessories to provide design options that suit various personal style and decor preferences. Design ideas include customizable bath colors, faucet finishes, and LuxStone Bath Walls. These design options allow the bath to seamlessly blend into the customer’s existing bathroom decor.

Easy Installation

Kohler understands that making updates to the home can be stressful. As a result, the company’s walk-in tubs are strategically designed to fit in the footprint of a traditional bathtub for easy installation and minimal disruption. Kohler’s installation specialists are specially trained and certified by the company to install walk-in baths and handle all plumbing and electrical work, treat each home as if it were their own, and lay down canvas mats and wear booties while working in the home to avoid tracking any dirt.

Most installations take one day to complete, but if additional time is needed, the installers will promptly let the customer know. After the installation is complete, Kohler’s professionals will make sure the bath is watertight and that the jets, heated surfaces, drain, and handshower function exactly as they are supposed to. Then, they will walk the customer through how to work each feature and operate their new walk-in tub, as well as answer any questions that they may have. Kohler’s installation specialists will also carefully remove the old bathtub and take it with them when they leave so that the customer doesn’t need to worry about disposal.

Made in the USA

Every Kohler walk-in tub is proudly designed and assembled in the USA at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Kohler, Wisconsin. Kohler ensures that every bath meets its rigorous quality control standards.
