All four plans come with similar features, but the rate goes up for additional bundled services added. The RingCentral pricing plans are tiered so that companies with more employees pay a bit less per user. The company offers monthly or annual billing, with cheaper rates for those who are able to bill annually. As a note, if you are planning to have more than 10,000 users, pricing may be different.

You should also know that RingCentral doesn't charge activation or cancellation fees for their business VoIP phone service.

Missing Features on Low-Grade Plans 

As the company's pricing model has four tiers, each consecutive plan comes with more toll-free and calling minutes, along with collaboration tools, than the last. That being said, the first two tiers are low-cost VoIP options.

The Essentials and Standard plans do not come with automatic call recording capabilities. The flaw here is that you have to pay for a more expensive Premium plan if you desire any of these features.

We should also note that the first tier, Essentials, is only available for up to 10 users, and only includes 100 phone minutes in the monthly plan, so it would only really be a viable solution for small business owners.

The Bottom Line

RingCentral is a recommended VoIP provider. Not only has the company proven itself with a large customer base and a vast amount of business experience; it also offers flexibility and transparency that are sure to please.

Any customer will enjoy free activation and a wide variety of special tools, easy setup, and ready customer support. In particular, RingCentral is exceptional at being upfront with information pertaining to pricing and the logistics of activating your VoIP system. The features offered for tiered plans include a desktop app, smartphone app, video conferencing, cloud PBX, a number of toll-free minutes, and much more.

For clients who prefer a contracted phone system or who might want a low-grade VoIP system for personal or residential use, this company may not be a good match.

RingCentral has really good products and I would recommend them I would say the only real con for me is that you never get anybody who speaks very good English and it can be very hard to understand people on the phone. They have pretty good pricing and their packages seem well put together.I would definitely recommend working with them, but just knowing upfront that it might be hard to understand them.

RingCentral has changed our business forever! We used an on premises phone system for years, always having to call the phone guy when we needed help with ANYTHING! Then we tried VoIP, adding it to a department, and had very mixed results like weird warble calls and huge delays, especially when calling cellphones. We were offered to try RingCentral through one of our IT companies that we use and we were shocked at how good it is. Super clear calls, no weird VoIP issues. So we took the plunge and got rid of our phone system, and our lazy phone system guy! We control our own phones now, and when we need help we just call RingCentral--we don't even buy our IT people. It's super easy to use, to add phones for new employees, and it does all the things big phone systems do. The best part is when 2020 occurred, we didn't have to do anything because all of our office people just accessed their "phone line" from their laptops at home--it was business at usual just without the office walls. A total blessing! We couldn't be happier with our decision and thank our IT people every time we (rarely) see them.

Ring Central is the first VOIP service I ever used, and I used it for years as the main phone system for my auto repair business. It was to set up the phone menu, and had a great set of features to provide extensions and direct phone calls to different employees (estimators, service techs, managers, etc), as well as to track missed calls, check on how employees are talking to customers, record specialized messages.

The best thing I like about ring central is that no matter what they stay with you until the job is done. Coming into a new position I had update a lot of things with the system such as company greetings, names , extensions etc. It was a very good learning experience, and even if the task I was asking was not obtainable through regular actions a work around was created my request could be completed.

They are fantastic. Their customer support is generally very good. Their system downtime is extremely limited. On very rare occasions a very small percentage of the phones might be down in the office for up to 30 minutes and then it's back up all by itself. I think they take security seriously. I notice they encrypt and change default passwords with stuff dealing with configuring phones, unlike other companies I've tried. They only get a star off because tracking calls' origin and displaying it on a phone, and tracking that can be difficult. Also, callerID company-wide must say the same thing, so we've had to create another "generic" account we use when it doesn't want it to say our primary company name.

I have spoken with them on the phone (Yes! an actual person on the other end) and I have chatted with them with questions. They are very helpful, knowledgeable and don't end the call or chat until my questions are completely answered or resolved. I would highly recommend RingCentral!

Our company has been using RingCentral for a couple of years and service has been very good for the most part. (Every rep in a call center has a bad day from time to time, but it's frustrating when you're trying to get an issue resolved and they are having that bad day.) RC offers lots of different features and ways to configure the phones for your business needs. The online portal makes it even easier and support is available when needed. Overall, we have had very good experience with RingCentral and would recommend them as a premier VoiP company!

great product and reasonably priced. required fax number for short period of time and didn't have a fax machine, ability to email fax and purchase a number for a monthly period was perfect for my needs. Fax quality was high and know the content was sent over wire successfully.

The VOIP is nice because allows you to make voice calls using a broadband Internet connection instead of a regular (or analog) phone line. The prices were also fair and reasonable. I just didn't find it personally useful for me.

We had horrible service with Ring Central's Voip. The phones kept dropping the service, our internet kept going down. This wasn't the exception to the norm, it was happening everyday, every hour! We'd call the tech support, who blamed it on our internet provider. The internet provider would come down and check, talk to the tech support and say it was not them. We told tech support that possibly one of the phones we bought from them was faulty. Nope, they said that was the first item they checked. They kept insisting it was the internet provider. Amazingly we changed phone systems and all issues stopped immediately. When we notified Ring Central that we were stopping service with them, they asked why. After hearing our complaints, they said maybe one of our phones was faulty, and who did we get it from? We told them the phones were purchased from them. After that, there was no comment. I would not recommend using their service or products.

The phone calls are clear and i can set up a do not disturb times on my phone. I did have one time where my phone didn't ring but my computer did, other than that things have been good

The sales pitch they give are incorrect. I have multiple area codes I can not call. They blame it on cell providers. Had contract. Added extra lines when need and Ringcentral auto renewed my 2 contract with 3 extra lines. The only way I be able to remove them is paying entire 2 years for each LINE! Then when to month to month. The Ringcentrals fees went up to be more expense for 3 less and more expensive.

Our company has lost thousands of dollars each day due to continual issues with the RC system and spent hours upon hours with the incompetent staff members who were unable to solve our issues. We eventually found ways to solve and workaround the seemingly unsolvable issues on our own until we switch to a different service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
