To whom it may concern. My name is Samuel Alvarez and I currently have a credit with Japan air, bought through Cheapoair, of $978.00. And since I am unable to use that credit I have been offered a complete refund. A refund of almost $1000.00. A refund that I am not going to accept, because Cheapoair is going to charge me a $70.00 service charge to get that money back. I am emailing you to say that I will never use Cheapoair again, and that I will make sure none of my friends or family ever use ypur company again. I would rather loose $1000.00 than pay Cheapoair $70.00 to get that money back. For Cheapoair to charge me $70 so that I can get a refund from Japan air is robbery. From the time my last flight was cancelled, the accountability, customer service, lies and more lies from Cheapoair have been unbelievable. CheapOAir's user interface is not near as clean as some other flight comparison websites. It's messy and hard to navigate and has weird amounts of load times as you switch back and forth to change your flight search criteria. Ultimately the information is useful but it's not a clean, efficient experience.

I was able to get a really good price on plane tickets to a rare destination through cheap o air. They have the smaller airlines that offer such destinations and were slim on fees and easy to book through

Awful service!!!!! My flight was canceled and I did not receive ANY NOTIFICATION. I only found out because I called the airline. Also, I had to call CheapOair several times to get my reimbursement and EVERY TIME I CALLED THEY TRIED TO CONVINCE ME THE FLIGHT WAS NOT CANCELLED. After a 2 hours chat, they only agreed in giving me the full refund when I mentioned I was going to fill a complaint form with the Department of Transportation (we have the right to a full refund when the flights are canceled). Even after agreeing with the refund, they tried to exclude the fees they were supposed to refund me. I noticed some of them before the payment; however, after getting the receipt, I verify that they still did not refund me about $100 in fees. I would recommend everyone to stay away from this company!
We got charged 3 times for one trip. One of these was with an extra flight booked AFTER our destination flight. When we emidietly notified Cheapoair they charged us an extra $25 for 4 tickets tickets to DROP the last flight! I reserved a rental car or so I thought. Instead I was charged for the full rental time up front and then denied the veh and a refund because I didn't have a card it card. Nut they had no problem charging my bank card for the rental. customer service is a joke and your charged for any service you may or may not receive. This company is based in India and that says it all. I think that whole country lives off of scamming Americans.

This is a SCAM company! My wife have booked a tickets to Boston MA on a next day flight. As well,she bought a 20$ trip protection for easy cancelation. 20 minutes later we have discovered that a rapid covid test doesn't work and we need to do a 7 days Covid test. So, we called to cheaoair and asked them to cancel a tickets. The agent just said: no,we can't. No refund. My wife remind him about a trip protection. He said: " its doesn't metter. This protection doesn't work ". Its a SCAM. This company should not work. Customers, be aware. Avoid this company, if you don't want to loose your money
I purchased tickets for four friends in South Africa through Cheapoair. Never again! They left four of my friends stranded in Johannesburg. To make a long story short. My friends were not able to book on a later flight because while they were at the airport, the airline said the flights were booked through a third party so that is who has to change the tickets. When contacting the “third party”, Cheapoair told me that my friends had to change their tickets at the airport with the airline. So guess what? No one would help them especially not Cheapoair and my friends were stranded u til they could get on a ten hour bus trip to get home. Cheapoair did nothing to help my friends!! Please do not waste your money.
I booked a round ticket to Amsterdam through Cheapoair.com. My trip was supposed to a at the end of May, 2020. Because of the global Coronavirus pandemic, I cancelled the flight, which the airline eventually cancelled for the very reason. I checked the airline's (Scandinavian Airlines) cancellation policy, and saw that I was eligible for a full refund, so I requested Cheapoair.com for the full refund. After few arguing, they eventually sent me a confirmation email on 7/18/2020, saying "Upon reviewing your reservation I see that one of our supervisors had spoken to the airlines on 05/31/2020 and the airlines confirmed that you qualify for refund of $689.35 and $120 for the baggage which should reflect on your card within 30-60 days once processed." It is 11/20/2020 now and I have yet to receive a penny back from this SCAM company. Instead, they have been calling me once a week and leaving me messages. Sometimes they say it'll take 2 more weeks, and sometimes they say it'll take up to 5 months for the refund to be processed. BUT, TODAY I received a message saying my ticket is cancelation is not related to the Covid situation, and that I will not be getting a refund. They also said something about a change fee of $300 if I want to book a different flight. All along, they had no intention of refunding any money. There are few others who are considering a joined law suits (I saw it on pissedcomsuper.com), so I'm going to look into that and I plan on joining them as there are so many of the same reviews with the same issue with this company. I have all the email and voicemails saved, so I'm ready.
CheapOAir always gives me the cheapest flight rates! I always go to this website when planning out my trips to keep the cost low so I can spend that money on other things during my trip. They also have all the major airlines which is very nice!

Absolutely horrific. Nightmare. Bought insurance with them. Airline changed flight so I had to cancel. I was stuck in a foreign country with no income because of the pandemic I even had to spend most of my savings getting whole new set of tix. Cheapo ignored all of my attempts to reach them until my visa expired and I was stuck. Then they said the airline wouldn't refund me because I was a no show.. once it was too late and they waited months after the flight date to even respond (after I cancelled through cheapo) and they didn't bother to notify the airline which is part of what that insurance I bought was for! They do not answer phones, emails, or chat. If you get through count yourself lucky. In a pinch they are nowhere to be found! I had to go and buy a whole new set of tix in the end and forfeit the hundreds I spent with them. To this day they are unapologetic. Only offered me a $50 credit that out of curiosity I tried to use and, yes you guessed it. Does not even work! A fake code. HA!
Run don't walk away from them. Takes money then basically good luck. Trust a local travel agency who will be there no matter what may happen.
I always check CheapOAir before I check google flights because they often show flights and airlines that other companies don't. I book most of my trips through here because, as a college student, flying first class often isn't an option.
Buyer beware they advertise free cancelation within in 24 hours. Read between the lines they charge you $50.00 service fee to cancel. It is not free cancelation!!!

Booked a American Airlines Supersaver flight. The site would NOT give me any info on the flight until I booked it. The site had 8:00 - 4:00 PM. I assumed that was the window of travel... (it's not). Since I need to arrive at 4:00 PM, I booked the flight. Then I got my info, I would not arrive until 7:00 PM. Customer service said since it was a "Supersaver", I could not make any changes. United Airlines had a much shorter flight time that arrived at 4:00 PM for about $90.00 more. I will never use CheapoAir again... it's pretty horrible that you can't get any info on the flight unless you book it first.. & then be stuck with it... Update: After I published the reviews, they called & changed my reservations & asked that I change my reviews... so I did.
Do Not Use! Repeat Do Not Use! I book a flight to Italy with them and due to Covid-19 I continued monitored the flight cancelations and found the flight was canceled and fully refunded to CheapOair and received no notification from them, In fact, they continued to post my reservations until the flight date. I had to dispute the charges with my credit company and they still continued to resist refunding me and falsely stating that I canceled my reservations and claimed the tickets are non-refundable. The kicker is that they want to profit from both the consumer and the airline refund not to mention the worthless travel insurance.
I booked me and my husband tickets through this service and our return flight were totally different times and he flew [email protected] 8pm I flew spirit red eye12:45 am! While on vacation we noticed this called and they totally dismissed us! I will never ever book with them again! If you could give a zero star review for this company, that still wouldn’t be close to reflecting their service. It is now nearing on HALF A YEAR past when my flight was canceled and I was notified that I would receive a refund of which I have not received and still have no information on when/why/ and if I will ever receive it. I’ve sent emails back and forth with no straight answers. The only way I was able to get in contact with someone was by writing a bad review and having them contact me to take it down. It’s been over a month since they contacted me and said they would reach out to their team and figure out the status of my refund and get back to me...I’ve heard nothing since, other then their request for me to take my review down. It seems they’re more interested in protecting their image then in actually helping customers. I will never do business with this company again and urge anyone reading this to literally go through any other flight company out there but cheapoair.
We booked a car rental through CheapOAir for a trip in March 2020 and cancelled the car ahead of the reservation. It took 5 months and many hours on the phone trying to get a refund for a car we never used and CheapOAir denied the request. This was the ONLY reservation from our trip (hotels, Air BnB, game tickets, many flights, etc) that did NOT refund due to Covid19. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired!

As if it's not bad enough that my flight was cancelled on my once in a life time trip to Europe, I am having to fight to get a refund. I have stayed on hold forever and when I finally get through to a person, they say they will refund my flight minus the cancellation fee (of course). I wanted to change departure date for my husband's flight for four months from now. His grandfather was having surgery and he wanted to be there. CheapOair would not refund me for the original flight, or offer some money back. Instead, I would have to buy a regular priced flight and lose the money I had already given them. I even purchased insurance and they would not honor it. I will not be doing business with CheapOair anymore.

They would do anything you to pay for the flight and then if there is any cancellation or a mistake they would want you to pay extra to move on to the another step. there is NO WAY you would be reaching a manager. Supervisors are not helpful at all. and they are non honest about solving your problem. for instance, if you tell them you want to talk to a manager, they would most likely say "hold on 2 to 3mins to allow me to call a manager ma'm". and get back to you after 40 maybe 60 minutes. tell them specifically if you want to book a connected flight twice maybe three times. because they are really bad at understanding the Visa requirements. ask if your ticket is basic, flex or premium, because they won't ask you and make a problem about that later as well as they will blame you on that!!!!! DO NOT BUY YOUR TICKET FROM THEM SO YOU WONT SPEND YOUR TIME AND GET MAD.

Total rip-off, do not use this company. We were trying to purchase tickets for travel in six months. The representative on the phone was able to get us a good price for airfare. By the time he had included all the additional charges, the airfare was higher than what we could purchase from the airline. The representative charged us a fifty dollar cancellation fee while we were still on the call. He stated it was from the airline. Give me a break, we were still on the call. Do not ever do business with this company. They are a rip-off.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. My college son's return flight of a round trip ticket was cancelled because of COVID and unless we got an immediate flight home for him, he would have been stuck in Australia for two months. For almost a month now, I've tried to get a refund for the cancelled flight, and have only rec'd normal Customer service e-mail responses to my Cancellation form submission and follow-up e-mails, and have been on hold for over 1 hour for three times, only to have their phones hang up on us. REALLY?? would never go through them again.

This terrible company is using COVID-19 epidemic like an excuse to steal money from customer.I will never book anything through this site again. I called many times but nobody is answering the phones. I bought an insurance to change the tickets but still I had to pay $70 just to cancel the tickets. I did not cancel the tickets the tickets where cancelled by the airline. Cheapoair is taking advantage of people like me. They already charged me $30 for the service +$40 for the insurance +$70 for the cancellation. No customer service, no explanations. They never responded to phone, chat or email to assist me.
I book a flight ticket through Cheapoair to Barcelona and due the the Covid 19 situation my flight was canceled. I tried for more than 3 weeks to contact the website and the airline but no answer from either one, until today after 2 hr i was able to to get somebody on the phone from Cheapoair. Basically they told me that they wont refund my money and the only thing they are able to to do is get me credit for future travel. I tried to inform them that at this point i do not want credit because i do not know when i will be traveling to Europe again and definitely not this year. I just cant believe that specially this time and the situation we are facing these companies are scamming people this way, and they are backing their scam with the policy. I requested a refund because I am canceling a trip to Florida per the world wide health crisis currently going on in the world and I even purchased flight insurance. So what does cheapoair do? I personally hate this website. I don't think it is very user friendly and its constantly trying to get you to purchase the wrong thing because there are no refunds. I was trying to buy a flight and I put it in all of the information for my trip and it still showed me this other flight on a different date and I ended up buying it on accident and they wouldn't let me refund it even though I bought it at most 5 minutes prior.
CheapOair is the one of the WORST travel agencies availble. Its a SCAM! Do NOT book anything through them!!! I purchased a ticket through them from Edinburgh to London a few weeks ago. The flight got cancelled and I wasn't even warned (unrelated to corona). They didn't even BOTHER TO send an email to notify me of the cancellation, nor did they provide a subsitute ticket! Instead I got a " We hope you are excited for your trip to London !" email. I got to the airport as planned, and when I learned the flight cancellation news on the spot, I was forced to purchase a last minute ticket to London as I had an international connecting flight I couldn't miss. After this incident, I wrote to cheapoOair MULTIPLE TIMES to ask for refunds. No one answered me. I called, sent reminders-NOTHING!!! This is unacceptable-don't ever make the same mistake I did!!! I love using CheapOAir to compare flight prices. The service and website is easy to use and gives me a good way to compare costs through different airlines, dates, places etc.
Although CheapOAir ensures you get the cheapest airplane ticket possible, it does not take into consideration comfort when finding these seats and the airplane companies.
100% Pathetic customer service If there will be -ve star I will choose that one. I want to cancel a ticket due to coronavirus. I called 3 times and after 1 hour of wait time system dropped my call, after 3 hours of wasting my time I just gave up. But if you want to book a flight there is no wait at all, this 100% pathic customer service, try your best to avoid it, you may save money on cheap fares but if you really need them in any emergency then they will not help you at all.
