Ashworth College was established in 1987 as the Professional Career Development Institute. Ashworth is a for-profit university that is based in Peachtree Corners, Georgia and serves as a form of higher education and secondary education to fulfill students' unique schedules and needs. While there is a physical campus, all career training and college programs are offered through the college's online platform as well. Carrington College was originally founded in 1967 in Sacramento, California. It was originally designed to train both medical and dental assistants and prepare them for those specific career paths. Everest Colleges, Institutes, and Universities were initially founded in 2007 under the branch of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. Everest was initially comprised of a number of schools which all fell under the Everest brand name. However, in 2015, Corinthian was forced to shut down and filed for bankruptcy.
