The Bad

  • Reliance on Tuition

Lack of Admissions Information

In fact, the College insists that if you would like to learn more about the process, you need to contact an admissions representatives. Virginia College does share that a lengthy application and essays are not part of the process. In order for you to learn more, you will need to call a representative or start the enrollment process online.

Tuition Varies per Program

You will need to consider roughly $15,000 to upwards of $45,000 for a program at Virginia College. This will also include indirect costs such as housing, transportation, and personal expenses. Depending on the program you're interested in, the cost of tuition might be a downside. Keep in mind that 95 percent of Virginia College students receive financial aid through the federal government and work-study options are available.

Reliance on Tuition

Virginia College functions solely on the money made from tuition fees. This isn't a bad aspect but rather more of an annoying part of the process as a lot of the information on the College's website directs you to an Admission Associate or Financial Planning Associate. In fact, you may feel bombarded online by the number of times you are asked to chat or speak with an admission representative. Be careful about filling out a form and giving out your contact information as schools who use this approach tend to more sales-minded and persistent.
