South Texas Vocational Technical Institute has multiple locations in Texas to help accommodate their students needs. Its high job placement, combined with reasonable pricing, makes South Texas a great option in terms of trade schools. Students in Texas should do their research to see if there is a program that is right for them.
- Multiple campus locations
- High job placement rate
- Reasonable tuition pricing
Multiple Campus Locations
South Texas Vocational Technical Institute provides students with multiple options when it comes choosing a campus. Students can choose from five different Texas locations. These locations include Brownsville, Corpus Cristi, McAllen, San Antonio and Weslaco. Having multiple locations helps students be able to choose the campus that works with their schedule. It is important that education fits into the lifestyle of students, and having multiple campuses to choose from allows students to make education more of a priority and part of their everyday lives. We like that South Texas Vocational Technical Institute provides many locations to help service its students and their schedules.
High Job Placement Rate
One of the most important, if not most important, reasons for earning a degree is to help kickstart a career. Students earn specialized degrees to help land jobs that they can turn into promising careers. South Texas Vocational Technical Institute has a high job placement rate for students. Students should feel confident that when they earn a degree from South Texas, they have a higher chance of landing a job. We also like that South Texas provides programs that are focused on helping students with employment after graduation. It offers career services to help with students post-graduation needs. These services include networking, interviewing and communication skills, and resume building. South Texas' dedicated to students employment is a quality we'd like to see in all trade schools.
Reasonable Tuition Pricing
Another aspect of South Texas Vocational Technical Institute we liked was its reasonable tuition costs. They offer comparable tuition prices that won't send students into mountains of student debt. Tuition costs vary by degree, but students can expect to pay around $18,000 for a degree. Other schools have tuition costs upwards of $60,000 to $70,000 for a degree. We like that students are able to earn degrees without feeling completely overwhelmed by tuition costs.
Smaller Program Catalog
One concern we had about South Texas Vocational Technical Institute is in regards to its degree variety. It does not offer the most extensive degree programs we've seen. South Texas offers students eight different degrees in three types of fields. Examples of these degrees include dental assisting, automotive service technician, and computer accounting specialist. We think South Texas Vocational Technical Institute could benefit from increasing the amount of programs they offer. It would be able to help expand its student reach with more degrees offered.
