Fortis was founded in 2008 and already has over 40 locations in 15 states. Its large program catalog, combined with its span across the country, provides opportunities for students looking to earn degrees. While Fortis has many highlights, it's lack of information about cost to attend, leaves us concerns. Potential students should fully to their research before enrolling.

One of the biggest draws for a trade school is the amount of programs offered to potential students. Fortis provides students with over 45 different programs to choose from. These degrees range from healthcare related careers to cosmetology licenses. Students should take advantage of Fortis' large program catalog; many other trade schools focus on one particular area which limits career choices. We like that Fortis provides students different options when it comes to their future.
Fortis also provides an online option for those students who are unable to attend one of its campuses. Earning a degree online allows students' to have 24/7 access and work when it fits in their schedule. This is a great option for students who are working or have other obligations. We also like that Fortis has many campus locations across the country as well.
Earning a degree is just a starting point for many students when trying to enter the workforce. We believe it is necessary for trade colleges to help students get jobs after they graduate. When students earn degrees with Fortis, they are also receiving help landing a job after graduation. Fortis provides students' help through their Career Service Center. Students leave Fortis with a degree and leads on jobs after graduation.
Fortis does not provide students any information on how much it costs to attend. It concerns us that Fortis is not transparent with those tuition numbers. It is difficult to fully recommend a company when they can not provide students with any information about cost of attendance. We suggest looking at companies who are able to breakdown tuition and help students have a better understanding about the financial obligations necessary to attend a trade school like Fortis.
Another importance aspect of trade schools is not necessarily the number of students enrolled, but the number of students who end up graduating from their programs. Fortis has a 59% graduation rate from their programs. While this isn't the worst percentage by any means, we'd be more impressed by Fortis if they yielded a higher graduation rate. We want students to feel like they are entering a school that will help them reach their goal of graduation.
