Thousands of  businesses are using TSheets to track and manage their employee timesheets. TSheets offers features, such as GPS tracking, mobile time clocks, and timesheet modification, making it an extremely user-friendly solution.

In 2017, TSheets was acquired by Intuit Inc. with hopes of providing small businesses a way to quickly and accurately track time, send invoices, run payroll, and more.

The Good

  • Free 14-Day Trial
  • Time Tracking Plans
  • Completely Web-Based
  • Beneficial for Traveling Employees
  • Minimal Training Required

Free 14-Day Trial

TSheets offers a free 14-day trial to those interested in trying out the software. The trial does not require you to enter a credit card number, so you don’t need to worry about forgetting to cancel and getting roped into automatic payments. Additionally, TSheets support is included with the free trial. TSheets support can simply help you set up your account, or they can train your employees on how to use the software.

However, it is unclear if TSheets limits the plan features (such as geofencing, tracking project progress, project activity feed, etc.) for the trial. We recommend calling or contacting a representative via online chat.

Time Tracking Plans

TSheets offers two time tracking plans: Elite and Premium. The Elite costs $10 per user per month plus a $40 base fee per month. The Premium costs $8 per user per month, plus a $20 base fee per month.

Both plans offer various useful tools and features such as time-tracking on any device, streamlined payroll and invoicing, QuickBooks integration, shift scheduling, time-off management, alerts, and notifications, "See Who’s Working" feature, and more. Plus, both plans include unlimited live customer support should there ever be a problem.

But if you upgrade to the Elite plan, you’ll get the following additional features:

  • Track project progress
  • Project estimates vs. actuals reporting
  • Project activity feed
  • Timesheet signatures
  • Geofencing

Completely Web-Based

TSheets is entirely web-based — meaning you don’t need to download or install the software onto your computer.

Beneficial for Traveling Employees

TSheets is an excellent resource for businesses that require a lot of traveling. It gives employees who are on the road or visiting a remote site the ability to clock in and out while they’re in the field, check hours, view and submit time off, and more.

Minimal Training Required

For the most part, TSheets is pretty user friendly. The software is pretty straightforward and shouldn’t take employees too long to learn to navigate.

The Bad

  • Cluttered Interface

Cluttered Interface

While using the TSheets software on the computer, we noticed that it gets cluttered very quickly. Several small pop-up windows stack on top of each other, and if you aren’t careful, you’ll lose track of all the tabs you’ve pulled up. However, the mobile app is much more user-friendly.

The Bottom Line

TSheets is great for companies that constantly have workers out in the field or at another job site. The software can be used virtually anywhere since it is entirely web-based and available via mobile app.

If you’re interested in trying out the software, you can start with the free 14-day trial. TSheet’s software interface isn’t exactly sleek. In fact, the dashboard can get quite cluttered with pop-ups and multiple tabs.

However, the trial is a great way to test out if TSheets is right for your business. Plus, you don’t have to worry about being roped into automatic payments since signing up doesn’t require you to enter your credit card information.
