The Good

  • Relatively low prices
  • Unit options
  • Security
  • Moving services and supplies
  • Upkeep
  • Locations

Relatively Low Prices

For a 10x10 drive-up Metro Self Storage unit, customers can expect to pay $72 per month, which is one of the lowest rates offered by any storage unit company. Although the price is low, consumers need not worry about sacrificing quality for affordability because the company provides some of the best features and services in the industry. In addition, Metro Self Storage makes payment convenient by providing the option for customers to pay online or by phone 24/7.

Unit Options

Metro Self Storage offers several unit options, meaning that customers have the ability to select a unit that best fits their situation. The company provides indoor, outdoor, and climate-controlled units for household storage, business storage, boat storage, RV storage, and car storage. Metro Self Storage also offers seven different unit sizes so customers only have to pay for the amount of storage space that they need each month.

At Metro Self Storage, security is taken seriously. The company provides 24-hour video surveillance, ample lighting, fenced perimeters, coded keypad gate access, and on-site property managers who regularly patrol the facilities in an effort to protect its customers' belongings. Metro Self Storage also offers zero-deductible tenant insurance to give customers peace of mind that they will be covered in the event of vandalism or a natural disaster.

Moving Services and Supplies

Metro Self Storage understands that moving into a storage unit can be a hassle. Because of this, the company offers several moving services and products, including truck rental, boxes, tape, furniture covers, bubble wrap, and locks, to help make the process more simple and convenient for its customers.

Because Metro Self Storage values customer satisfaction, the company performs regular maintenance and cleanings to ensure that its units are kept in good shape. There are several companies in the industry that do not offer this service.

Currently, Metro Self Storage has 113 locations across the following 13 states: Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Louisiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. The company's wide availability is a good indicator that it is a stable and scalable company. In addition, it increases the number of consumers who have the ability to store their belongings in one of its facilities.

The Bad

  • Limited gate hours

Limited Gate Hours

Unfortunately, Metro Self Storage does not provide its customers with around-the-clock access to their belongings. The company's gate hours run from 6 AM to 10 PM each day, meaning that customers will be out of luck in the event that they need to get into their units during the night.

The Bottom Line

Available in 13 different states, Metro Self Storage offer several storage unit options at affordable prices. The company also provides a number of security measures, helpful moving services and supplies, and regular unit upkeep. However, customers do not have 24/7 access to their belongings because Metro Self Storage's gate hours are limited. If you live within a reasonable distance of one of its facilities and are looking for a storage unit company that is both affordable and robust in the features that it offers, Metro Self Storage may be a good option for you.

The staff I have in countered are bottom of the Barrell. The DM was the most self righteous person I have ever met. The HR (if you want to call it that) staff are not in the right job field. They do not find the right people for the job. They lie, put you in danger and I could go on but this is not the appropriate place.
