Devon bought the building in late December 2021 located in Hoover Alabama where there are businesses along with storage units. The water to building has been off since Saturday and they cannot confirm when it will be on. They said prior owner was supposed to transfer service. People have been using toilet without flushing and it smells horrible and very unsanitary. Also, our business has been impacted because our therapy patients need to hydrate and be able to use the toilet. We cancelled Monday patients and delayed Tuesday patients because we were told water would be on by 3pm. It was still off. HELP! THIS IS BAD BUSINESS!! Update on this situation- changing my rating from a 1 to a 3. I called the water company about 4pm when our water didn't get turned on. The water company said tech came out and said water was already on. I corrected that it was not on. An hour later they got it turned on. Unfortunately, the toilet valve had gotten broken from people trying to flush with no water and the water started spraying out of toilet bowl like a fountain and flooding the office. The manager Shae was still in building and helped to try to find a building cutoff. My brother helped me find the actual cut on on the commercial style toilet. Shae was quick about lining up a plumber and Serv Pro to deal with issue in the morning. What a day!!

Awful experience. No actual humans respond to emails. No one answers the phone. They continue to raise the rent. My rent was raised in February 2022 then again in May 2022. I do not recommend this place.

The Manager Kevin and his employees , Jay and William provide exception service all the time. Having a friendly , positive demeanor is important . Thanks for making my day!

Hi, my name is Chris B and I got your info from Jimmy S, he thought you might be able to help us. Sometime around Thanksgiving our storage unit was broken into and approximately $13,000 of our property was stolen, that we know of. We were never notified about the theft, I found out because I just happened to go by there. They were aware of the theft because they called the police themselves. The thieves put their own lock on the unit so they could gain entrance at any time and they took their time because they had to remove some large items and put them back in to steal some of the equipment. We did file a police report with Seabrook and they told us this particular facility has been robbed 40 times in 4 months! By confirmation of Lisa and Brian, employees at the facility, they said the owner refused to send letters or notify any of the customers about the theft problems. They also admitted that the main gates have been “broken” for some time and left open at all hours. There are 8-10 cameras on site and by Lisa’s admission only the two facing the office work.

Our daughter was leaving the area at the end of the semester and we we’re in quite a jam. The manager was amazing and helped us out even though it was crazy busy because of student move out day. He helped us with boxes tape packing everything! Plus while we were in the office The staff dealt with a completely unreasonable customer who was unhappy with the floor plan shape of her storage. The manager kept his cool and handled her very nice - great team!

Doreen and staff are helpful. The unit I had was in good shape. I got a three month new customer rate discount. i thought it was a good deal. I had lots to learn. You are forced to buy their lock. You are forced to take their insurance. So come prepared with your own locks and proof of insurance. HOWEVER after the three months were up my rate went up as planned and then the rates increases started. I was not happy with the standard rate of $235.00 for a 10 x 25 outdoor unit. But that is what I agreed to. Then they wanted an additional $25.00 a month! FOR WHAT ??? I emailed a complaint and got "policy" dictated to me. they handled the situation poorly, This was bad business. I told them I would be writing reviews like this on several platforms. I raised such a fuss that the regional manager called me. By then I had found a much better and cheaper place. The Regional manager offered to waive the rent increase. He tried to convince me that $235.00/month was below the area average. BS I told them " Thank you for raising my rent again and driving me to the competition. Now I am saving lots $$$." My advice, this is NOT the place for long term storage. they give you a teaser discount in the beginning and make up for that discount with rent raises in the end. Shop around and plan at least two months ahead. A 10 x 20 unit in Milwaukee goes for $100.00 - 150.00 a month outdoors. The 10 x 23 I found is indoors, climate controlled, Illuminated, free dollies, 24 hour access, no contract, Free locks all for $122.00 a month plus 90 days half off move in special. Plus guaranteed no more that a possible $10.00 per month annual rent increase. I am so glad I moved out of DEVON.

I provided proof of insurance and they still charged me. Said they couldn't refund me because I was leaving. I would not recommend them!

Absolutely amazing customer service from a lady by the name of Melody. She was very friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this to friends. Overall great experience.

Ya lowest price, then once you move in then rate keep going up every 2 months
