Zenernet Top rated in my book I was very pleased with my interaction with Zenernet from day one. I wanted to thank Alfred in particular who guided me through the entire process of all that entails to go solar and always giving my objectives first priority! Felt very comfortable. Highly recommendable.

DETAILS

Zenernet are a bunch of crooks and scammers! They are no longer in business, filing for bankruptcy, you can’t get a hold of anyone. Phone numbers go to voicemail and then disconnect, no one responds to emails including their VP Jarrett H and CEO JP G. 15 months later and we are still paying a monthly electric bill with 125% coverage and they left us high and dry without processing our back up battery rebate. Not to mention, we have already paid them in full. Beware and avoid at all costs as they will sell you Solar, take your money. And then ghost you!

I think installation was slow but once it was up and running it has been headache free. I save a lot in my electric bill but at the same time I had spent a lot of money already. I just don't want to be burdened with monthly electric bill. I believe it is a good investment and have no regrets; just relaxed.

DETAILS

Once the site study was complete, everything moved at a snail's pace. Expectation was to be producing solar power 2 - 5 months after signing contract. Signed proposal in May, it's now the beginning of December and still no power. Installation was completed in August and all they had to do was schedule an inspection with the Electrical Inspector; They haven't even called the town yet. The coordinator seems to be doing his job but no one is listening to him. Trying to contact someone who is really in charge seems impossible. Customer service is terrible.

The Final Word

You can't go wrong with either of these highly-rated companies. But we'll highlight the key differences so you can make the most informed decision possible.

Company longevity

SunPower is uniquely established within solar, which is a relatively new industry. Founded in 1985, SunPower has been a pioneer in solar and is here to stay. Zenernet was founded in 2017, so it has 5+ years of experience in solar. That is plenty of time compared with some even newer players, but when discussing longevity, SunPower can't be beaten. The longer a company has been around, the more likely it will be able to honor its workmanship warranty. Both SunPower and Zenernet offer 25-year workmanship warranties in addition to the standard 25-year manufacturer warranties for panels and 10-year manufacturer warranties for batteries.

Reach

Where Zenernet serves three states (Arizona, California, and Colorado), SunPower serves more than 20. So SunPower is more robust in regards to national reach as well. A bigger company doesn't necessarily mean a better one, but statistically, a consumer is more likely to be able to work with SunPower because of its state coverage.

Equipment

Both Zenernet and SunPower utilize high-quality equipment, so this factor comes down to preference.

SunPower has SunPower-branded panels and batteries manufactured overseas and uses SMA inverters. SunPower claims it has the highest-efficiency panel in the market.

Zenernet uses a brand-agnostic approach in its marketing, focusing on availability among top-tier equipment for prompt installs rather than selling consumers on a particular brand. Brands used include LG, Panasonic, Solaria, Enphase, SMA, SolarEdge, Generac, LG, and Enphase. As an extension of this approach, Zenernet guarantees installation within 60 days (with some terms and conditions).

The bottom line

SunPower has a slight edge on Zenernet. But both are trusted, proven, and worth considering. If you live in Arizona, California, or Colorado, we highly recommend getting a quote from both of these companies.
