Thank you for your feedback! If you have any specific maintenance questions, please give us or your installer a call, but in general your system should be very low-maintenance. The main action you'd need to take would be to make sure the panels are kept clean. There are many great local panel cleaning services that should be able to take care of this for you at minimal cost.

Support is horrible. My system has 9 out of 20 panels not producing. I had to call and let them know instead of them proactively fixing. It is now a week later and they are still trying to fix the issue remotely instead of setting up a site visit.

We contracted with SunPower to install solar panels on our one-story home on July 15, 2022. After repeated delays and backlogging of the production of their own manufactured solar panels over a 9-month period. SunPower was still unable to give us a confirmed installation date. Therefore, we cancelled our contract with them on April 4, 2023.

Buyer beware! Don’t buy or lease in Southern California. Our leased solar system modem has been down for a couple months. We have called soooo many times to have it fixed but nothing happens. It’s very upsetting!!! Save your self some time and grief and choose a different company that actually takes care of their customers.

I've have been having a horrible experience with this company. 4 months and still can't use these panels yet I'm already paying for them and I have to pay my light bill. They still have not reimbursed me and they do not keep me updated with anything. I wish I would have never done business with this company.

Homesmart that contracted with Sunpower is RUDE. When I started asking question during the Zoom, he shorten the call, can't even get to the battery back options. I decided to go with someone else later on solar panel and ask Homesmart about battery option, they Marty just say he cannot help me, that too bad I went with a LESSER company. Yes, Sunpower is a big company that likely to be around in the future, but do I want to deal with them if I ever have a problem? NO

Stay far away from this company. I’ve had my system for four years. I’ve had repeated issues. Customer service is terrible. I’ve had to call multiple times. The agents speak heavily accented English that is difficult to understand and they always promise that someone will call me back. No one ever does. I wouldn’t recommend this company to my worst enemy.

We leased a SunPower solar system 10 years ago. The system stopped working 2 months ago. Despite calling SunPower customer service every week, no repair has been made. We get promises at every call and then nothing happens. It is the worst customer service I have ever seen. What is the value of their solar system guarantee, if they are simply unable or unwilling to repair it when it fails? We have backup battery system by Tesla. We never had any issue with Tesla. After this experience with SunPower, I can only advise everyone who considers a solar system to consider Tesla instead of SunPower

They are all about installing new systems. After that support is nonexistent. I have an installation that is now 15 years old and the Sun Power inverter SPR-3300x is showing Ground Fault. Probably some minor electrical problem that can be fixed by an electrician in 5 minutes. i have been calling these people for a week to get a local electrician over here to take care of that. You get their Technical Support people on the phone but there seems to be no way to get someone to actually come to your house to help. Not the Best Company at all.

Been calling , emailing for over two weeks to get the wifi hooked up. Been 2 months now and I don't think the array is working. It is July, august and Electric bill is $10 lower than June. Only thing I get from phone calls is, " I will put a message through." They are sure there when money is due. Don't pay them till you see production from the array and everything is working.

I have had a great experience with Oak Electric, a SunPower dealer in Michigan, but when I contacted SunPower directly about an issue related to a severely delayed installation of batteries due to unavailability of software, customer service at SunPower has been HORRIBLE. After following up with me initially by email and phone, SunPower has gone dark. They simply don’t or won’t respond to any of my follow ups to make contact. This has been going on for multiple weeks. Out of frustration I’m leaving this review.

between Sunpower and the Installer they referred Thompson and Son Energy, it has been an expensive disaster. I have been without solar working properly for over 8 months. lack of properly prepared installers to fix, Sunpower computer not working, lack of communication with all parties. electric bills now over $400 a month when they use to be under $200.

Really bad experience dealing with the customer service. 3 months gone by and problem is still not resolving. No solar running. on top of that, scheduling team wasted another 3 weeks. no calls to follow up for next repair visit. this top level management of the customer service shouldn't be there working for Sunpower. bunch of unskilled people and don't care attitude.

SunRun Refused Me A Solar System Los Angeles, CA

I was at “Costco” one day, and a salesman asked me if I wanted a Solar System. I explained to Tony that I had “Peterson Dean” install a solar system about 5 year’s ago, but I’d like the have 5 Additional Solar Panel’s Added Onto My Existing System. Tony explained that SunRun cannot do this, that they can only install brand new solar panel systems. I also explained that I was interested in a Battery Backup System. He apologized but said that he wasn’t able to help me.

Have a lease with them. Have to have autopay setup. My bank was going out of business emailed and called in multiple time to change checking account info. They keep telling me they added count but their system defaults to old closed account. Then they mail me past due and late fee notices. I called one rep last month she said she will remove the late fee. Couple of weeks go by nothing. After that when I call them they tell me it’s my fault. I did everything I could of my end. They don’t care about lease customers stay away!!!!

Solar power was installed in March 2022. Took Dept. of Water and Power to install meters until May 9, 2022. Have called, emailed, left messages countless times and system still is not online. The communication is non-existent. Even if they eventually respond it is with vague promises. We chose SunPower because of its customer service. But it is clear that someone is giving fake reviews. Avoid at all costs.
