    The best part of Solar Spectrum was they were as fast as allowed by inspectors, city planners etc. It was as fast as any other company I've seen install solar units and in many times it was faster. The best part was I got to turn it on with the able assistance of a Solar Spectrum Project Manager. I highly recommend this company for going solar.

    I was very confused shopping for a solar system. My daughter and friend had a very bad experience with their purchase. So I looked on your site and contacted Solar Spectrum because they were the highest rated. I did contact the next three on the list. I am so happy I picked Solar Spectrum. Their installers on two separate occasions waited 5 hours in their trucks for different inspectors to come. One till 8:00 PM. To date all work has been completed on time. All installers were courteous and kept me informed. Sales and coordinating team were very good also. Solar Spectrum good service and a good price.

    They don't communicate well with the customer.They only tell you the very minimum of info. If you do not know what to ask , you get left behind.. I have dealt with two different company's at two different locations and they all seem to be the same. Thet treat you like a dummy. They need to give you all the information in plain english, as to the different time frames for each phase and who is respnsible for each phase and what to expect especialy with your power company provider and their time frame. They need to tell you immediatley when your project manager is changed or terminated . instead of the customer having to call becase they haven't heard squate from the supposed project manager who told you he would contact you every week to keep you up to date. You pay all this money out and you end up having to over see the whole project. I could go on but what for I got my solar it works. I am saving money on electricity.

    Excellent product. Excellent initial customer service. They were the first - the only company to call me back from my first inquiry. Did what they said when they said it. However afterwards things got a little jumbled. I had to email multiple times to get them to straighten things out with the city and actually get the system turned on! The people who were in charge of my job left the company after the installation was finished. No one would tell me why. Eventually the system got up and running. To be fair, the city of Los Angeles was very slow getting their part done, and very picky about some changes they wanted. Also I installed a new roof at the same time, which complicated the schedule. However the work was done well. I still haven't been able to get them to connect me to the promised site where I can see how much electricity the panels are generating. So - Great in the beginning. Petered out at the end. But over all very responsive to my needs and communications, excellent product, and definitely the best of any company I called.

    Overall positive experience, they worked with city to get permits, with Eversource for the new meter,and generally keep me informed during the entire process. Their installer was amazing, local contract organization. My main concern is really on the warranties, how long will they be in business, as the warranties are for 20+ years and these companies seem to come and go, buy each other, etc... During our first month of operation (Oct 2017) we have close to a $0 electrical usage, so looking forward to the spring and summer months.

    Solar Spectrum took over support for my Sungevity solar system. My system has stopped reporting data over two months ago. It is impossible to contact Solar Spectrum on the phone and they have not responded to the electronic case I opened. I have reported them to the CA Consumer Affairs department. Buyer beware, if you buy from them they may not support you!

    I don’t know who is giving this company such great reviews!!! We just had a system installed and are having issues and they will not return emails or phone calls!! Wish we had looked at the Yelp reviews before doing business with these people! Everyone is reporting the same lack of customer support and non- response to emails or phone calls!!! RUN! Don’t do business with this company!!! Seriously considering what legal recourse we may have......

    Their Solar advisor Scott G. was very friendly and knowledgeable about the product and all of the incentives in Massachusetts. When I had follow up questions he would always return my e-mails and phone calls very quickly. We had 50 panel installed. The crew installed them all in 1 day in the pouring rain.

    I would give them high marks leading up to the home inspection. Home inspection also high marks, but once we figured out that they could only provide me with 31% solar, we ended the deal and I am expecting my $500.00 ("fully refundable") deposit back. I have yet to see that refund.
