Founded in 2007, GreenBrilliance provides high-quality solar installations to residential, commercial, and governmental clients throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia (DMV) area. The company has been named the number one solar contractor in D.C. in 2020 by Solar Power World magazine, and has maintained top 500 contractor status since 2014.

GreenBrilliance also carries a number of industry-recognized certifications from both solar equipment manufacturers as well as certifying bodies like the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP).

The Good

  • High Quality Solar Equipment and Service
  • Competitive Warranties
  • NABCEP Certified
  • Top Solar Contractor
  • Multiple Financing Options

High Quality Solar Equipment and Service

GreenBrilliance installs some of the best solar equipment available today. Featured among its top-tiered solar panel offerings is the company’s status as an REC Certified Solar Professional. REC Solar builds some of the most durable and energy-efficient solar panel modules on the market, with panels averaging 21.7 percent efficiency and coming with a solid 25-year warranty.

In addition to panels from REC Solar, the company also uses inverters from both SolarEdge and Enphase, both widely considered to be the top two micro inverter manufacturers in the industry. These choices allow customers to monitor the performance and output of individual solar panels to ensure maximum efficiency.

GreenBrilliance is also a certified Tesla Powerwall installer. The Tesla Powerwall is one of the premiere solutions in backup solar battery technology. Through the Powerwall, customers can harness and store excess solar energy for emergency or night use, further reducing their dependence on fossil fuels and the cost of their energy bill.

On top of its excellent equipment offering, GreenBrilliance provides expert service and maintenance, including in-depth diagnostics and cleaning of core system components as well as expert analysis of the latest fire and building codes.

Competitive Warranties

As mentioned above, solar PV systems installed by GreenBrilliance are protected by a 25-year equipment warranty, which defends the system against problems caused by defective products.

GreenBrilliance also provides its own, industry-leading 25-year workmanship warranty, which protects the system against damage or other problems caused during the installation process. Industry experts identify 25 years as the expected lifespan of the average system, so this is essentially a lifetime warranty.

NABCEP Certified

GreenBrilliance has taken its level of expertise a step further than most companies by employing solar experts who have been certified by the NABCEP, an industry-respected organization that has authored some of the most rigorous and intensive solar certifications in the world. The best solar companies are often armed with an NABCEP certification as a way to distinguish themselves from the crowd.

Top Solar Contractor

GreenBrilliance has received a number of accolades from Solar Power World magazine, both for the amount of solar energy it has installed, as well as its performance as a solar company. In addition to being named a top 500 solar contractor every year from 2014 to 2020. The company also has a number of achievements pertaining to 2020 specifically:

  • #1 solar contractor in D.C.
  • #37 in overall solar plus storage solutions
  • #54 rooftop solar contractor
  • #63 residential solar contractor

Multiple Financing Options

GreenBrilliance offers a full slate of financing options to help customers make the switch to solar:

  • Cash Purchase — For customers with the funds necessary to finance their system out of pocket, GreenBrilliance gives them the option to purchase their solar panel system upfront.
  • Solar Loan — Through the company’s partnership with LoanPal, a leading solar lender, customers can finance their system through a solar loan for a low fixed rate and zero money down.
  • Solar Lease — For customers who want all the energy saving benefits of a solar power system without the financial burden of ownership, solar leasing allows them to rent the system at a low monthly rate.
  • Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) — Similar to a solar lease, a power purchase agreement lets homeowners buy the energy their systems produce.

The Bad

  • Limited to the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia Area

Limited to the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia Area

Unfortunately, GreenBrilliance only serves clients in the D.C., Maryland, and Virginia (DMV) area. Local companies like this, while often boasting local expertise in a niche market, may still find themselves disadvantaged to leading solar companies with a national presence in terms of name recognition and public clout.

Promoting verified GreenBrilliance reviews from real customers may be an effective way to spread the word about the company’s excellent service and product.

The Bottom Line

Customers in the tri-state area will find few companies that can match the service, expertise, and product offerings that GreenBrilliance brings to the table. The company offers financial solutions that fit almost any budget, and build high-quality systems designed to last. For customers living in its service area, GreenBrilliance is worth investigating and obtaining a quote from.

Syndee Groves NJ

I found this information not correct. I read these reviews when I hired them but my experience has been very different. When they installed the panels the first storm that came through blew two panels across my field. They did not keep me posted as to the progress of the job. They kept telling me they were waiting for the plans to be approved and permit issued by the county. When I talked to the county I was told the plans had been approved and was waiting for pick up. The workers on the job didn’t have a copy of the approved plans on the job. After so called completion of job I was waiting for the meter to be switched by the power company. When I contacted the power company, Greenbrilliance had not even submitted the application required to them. Once that was corrected and the power company came out the panels didn’t work and they discovered the application submitted didn’t match the work. When I call, text, and email they are very slow to respond if at all.
