I've been horribly frustrated with the lack of communication with this company. First, they no-showed at the sales appointment (my first warning sign). I gave them the benefit of the doubt and let the guy reschedule when he called me 2 days later. I wound up going with these guys, and the actual physical installation of the panels themselves, went great, as did the paperwork. But then the electrician no-showed 2 times! Later found out it was a "scheduling issue" with the Utah office (I'm in Colorado), and the contract electrician they use was on vacation. Might want to check that next time I take 2 days off work to be home and your guy no-shows. Then it's time for the inspection. So again, I take time off to be there when the BRS inspector comes, and is supposed to meet the city inspector for sign off. The City inspector doesn't confirm the appointment, but they schedule it anyway. The City inspector doesn't come because they NEVER had the Rough-in Inspection done. They told me they worked that out over the phone with the city, but apparently not, because 2 weeks later, I still have no final inspection, no equipment from the power company installed to convert the power to the grid. I've had solar panels on my roof for over a month and not earning a thing from them. Sales rep tells me 11 days ago and I quote "this is extremely frustrating. I'll have my account manager reach out to you ASAP". (I have it in a text from him). That was September 5th at 3:23 pm. Today is September 16th. BRS, come finish this thing in the next 2 days, or I'm going to take all of your stuff off my roof, cancel the deal and you can come pick it up. I feel bad for your panel installers. Those guys were actually great -- on time, professional and did their job quickly and efficiently. The electrician, when he showed up, was good and professional as well. Your internal scheduling team, and communication with your customers sucks something awful. I'm hoping someone from BRS sees this and reaches out, because they're not returning my calls or texts. I should have gone with SunRun.

So far the only good thing about Blue Raven is the installers were very nice. Horrible customer service and non existent communication with any of the process or to schedule the next step unless I, the customer call them and ask what's next. For as much money as they get from each customer I expected a business that knew how to run properly. Ont of all that it was 10 days of me calling to ask when I can turn on my system after the electrician finished. Never got any call back when I was promised they'd look into to just to be told I could've switched it on 10 days prior and they finally sent instructions. Ok fine once again frustrated but ok finally. Well no I called right back when they website said it didn't recognize me to have a system. Was told on a Friday i would get a call first thing Monday. Surprise, NO CALL. Here we are Wednesday and 15 days now of days my system should've been working. Well finally someone figured out the account was mixed with someone else in the area. Apparently names and pictures and serial numbes were all duplicates on two accounts. Are you kidding me??? I wasn't given any answers as to where all the energy we've accumulated will go since it's being mixed with a whole other system. Absolutely worst experience and if the panels were already installed I would walk away. Don't CHOOSE BLUE RAVEN if you expect anything to be done right.

We used Blue Raven Solar and I would 100% advise to go with literally anyone else. They’ve wasted my time for almost 5 months with no-shows, rescheduling and excuse after excuse. I’m an active duty military member, and I’ve take time off work 5 times now, and had my time completely wasted. They finally installed the panels last week. I was excited to just be done with this company. The final inspection was supposed to be today but again, guess who didn’t show up? Blue Raven Solar failed to have a tech at my house, although I called them this morning to remind them of the inspection. They assured me someone would be here... and they never showed up. The city arrived for the inspection, gave me a hard time for wasting their time and left. So we’re still out in the woods with no end in sight. I’ve been waiting over an hour to get this last inspection rescheduled AGAIN, but honestly, at this point, I won’t be surprised if that takes another month. We also had BRS install an electric panel upgrade, two months ago. Everything is working fine but they still haven’t fixed the drywall in my house. I also noticed this morning that they left ground rods in my garage, that should be in the ground in my backyard, preventing this new system from going up in flames. All in all I would give it zero stars for wasted time if I could.

I am revising my last review to reflect the exact dates because we received an email from Evan H accusing Our review which is an opinion as slander. On May 19 through the 21st I noticed that our system wasn’t producing Solar power according to the app I called customer service on May 21, 2019 and I was told that somebody would be in contact with me within 24 hours. And the 22nd at 4:25 PM 24 hours later I called again to customer service I was told again that somebody will be in touch with me no later than Friday which will be May 24, Nobody ever contacted me. So we did the last review Sunday the 26. On Tuesday the 28th my wife calls and asked to speak to a manager so after talking to him he created a ticket for a technician to come out and look at our system. After investigating and troubleshooting our system He said we needed a New inverter which later that morning he installed. The review that we did on the 26 got posted the same day the installer was here.

Blue Raven replied with the same cookie cutter response they have been posting. Also, I advise people to just go with Tesla Solar. For the $20K that Blue Raven charged to install a measly 4.72 kW system... Tesla Would have installed a 6.5-7kw system for the same price! To install the needed panels that we actually need to reach 5kW to generate 100% energy as we stated many times since the beginning, Blue Raven is asking us to pay an additional $3k! So $23K for a 5kW system where you can go with Tesla instead and get a 6.5-7kW system for $3k less! Most importantly, they use cheap solar panels made in China where Tesla uses quality/efficient panels made in their Gigafactory 2 photovoltaic cell factory Buffalo, New York.

Joseph - It looks like there’s been a misunderstanding around net metering. Since your system was installed during May, you haven't had an opportunity to build up the necessary utility credits to offset your power bill. Utility credits are generally produced during the spring and fall when the days are still long, but AC usage is down. With your system being so new, you haven't hit this credit production cycle in the year yet. A larger system would have meant purchasing additional panels that would have been impactful for only the first few months before entering the credit cycle. We understand that having a utility bill during this energy transition can be frustrating, which is one reason you were included in the Blue Power Plus promotion for 18 months of free solar power. This lets you go solar and enter the credit cycle without worrying about your solar loan for 18 months. Your system has been producing since May 18, 2018 and has produced within 99% of the kWh expected at this point in the year. Besides entering the credit cycle, additional energy usage falls outside your guaranteed production and doesn't reflect a shortcoming on your system or our calculations. We designed a 4.72 kW system to meet the energy needs you provided us at the beginning of the sales process. As long as you don’t use more energy than previous seasons, your system will offset your utility consumption once you enter the credit cycle. It just needs some time. Solar panels are a long-term investment and we make the annual production guarantee clear in our sales materials and contracts. We will continue to honor the guarantee and ensure that your system is working effectively for you and your family. let start at the beginning my 1 appointment for sale person to come to my house wait for hrs to have a no show & no call. So we made a 2nd appointment only to get a call a few day later telling that it wasn't in the system they weren't sure what happen OK we made a 3rd one WOW they showed. The sale person Doug told us we need 29 panels at 35,000 and there be no extra charges what you is what you will pay. then they had a gentlemen look at roof and other thing so the roof was good but it may need to be replaced in 10 yrs or so and if they would need to come back to take the panels down it will be a chage to do that you know what they will 10 yr. from now so we said let do it all together and make it one loan. ok solar system 35,000 roof 6,250 here were it get good there will be ADDITIONAL OF 1,500 FOR rolling it into the loan that the loan co was charging. So I called and asked about what Doug told what you see is what you will pay will you honor what I was told or can you take the 1,500 off the price of the solar I was told no bottom line is that for 1,500 hundred dollars they let me walk and now there out 35,000. I had talked to NC SOLAR gave me a low price BEWARE I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH CO THAT LET THERE SALE SAY WHAT THEY WANT AND NOT HONORING THEM IT CALLED DISHONEST

To ensure that solar doesn't create unexpected issues for our customers, we scheduled technicians to audit the condition of the roof and electrical work of your home. This took place after you spoke with Doug and scheduled the audit. From the audit, we recommended a re-roof because it would have been costly for you to remove panels in several years for roof repairs. With this addition to your loan, the financing company for your system included a financing charge. Blue Raven wouldn't have made any additional profit off of these changes and was only looking out for your interests in the proposed addition of work. Very few of our proposals require adjustments like yours after the audit. In the cases that they do, our customers receive no penalty for choosing to not go forward with their solar project.

So this guy is at our door, can't remember his name, right at dinner time. We stop what we're doing to listen to what he has to say. He seems to be a nice guy, very professional and knowledgeable. I listen to the whole story and am somewhat interested. I provide him lots of my personal information including enough for him to check my credit. He assures me that he will call me the next day and let me know if my house and my credit qualify to move forward. Next day comes and goes and I don't hear from him. A couple of weeks go by without hearing anything. Then I get a letter from this finance company telling me I have a 40k line of credit. Who the heck authorized that? So I have to call them to cancel. Still haven't heard from the guy that caused us to have a very late dinner.

Blue Raven is a terrible company, the product is expensive and the customer service is awful. When you call you always get someone new, they never can answer questions and if you have an issue good luck getting a callback. They are vague, our system was not connected in time and we ended up with a high electric bill and a new payment, which we were told would not be the case. They were not aware of Oregon state regulations in regards to installation so they blamed this on our late service, they also tried to blame PGE, but PGE had verified that 5 other homes in our neighborhood were having the same issues and only one home was actually working.They cracked our support beam in our garage and drove screws through our roof showing through in our underhangs. Very shoddy work. They never come on time, the paperwork is late, they can not explain contracts, they email you weeks after you are suppose to receive information, and text message you different messages than what they talk to you about on the phone, not very organized. AVOID The only person who has been the slightest bit helpful was the sales rep., I would recommend him.

I have a large no soliciting sign 1" under my doorbell for many reasons. The first time Blue Raven showed up was on a week night at 8:30pm. I was shocked they were there so late, disregarded the sign, rang my doorbell and proceeded to lie to me that thy weren't selling me something. I asked them, politely, to leave after telling them we were not interested. I also asked them not to come back. Tonight, Friday night, two new sales people showed up, this time at 7:45pm, rang my doorbell (yes, the sign is still up) and started going through the same shpeel. They're not selling me anything and would like 2 seconds. When I said no and asked them for a second time not to come back the rep raised his eyebrows, rolled his eyes and flippantly said 'well good nigt then'. Seriously! It doesn't matter why I have a no soliciting sign (baby sleeping, barking, old and agitated dogs, not interested, you name it) a company should be respectful of the homeowner's wishes. This sales tactic tells me that their training and customer service is not a priority. After reading other reviews here, I'm not surprised. Not impressed.

I do not have their product but their sales people stopped at my home yesterday. When the asked if I had considered solar energy, I explained I am 100% solar powered at my home. Simple mistake not noticing all the big panels all over my garage, right. At this point the company rep. had smart mouth comments about our purchase and the company from whom we purchased. I had been perfectly polite and friendly through the entire conversation. Now, I want the mouthy young man to know that is NO proper sales tactic! I will NEVER recommend his company to anyone who asks me about solar companies! And those who read this may find it as off putting as I do.

The install went great. I needed the to come back and move the meter to get my trailer out they were there the next day no problem. When it came time to get tax info our talk to my sells rep, it was almost two months when I called blue raven and told them to tell my sells rep not to bother we were done with him. I still had some unanswered questions so I needed a new sells rep to contact me with some info I got a message to call him when I called I was put on hold then hung up on. Don't worry blue raven I will figure it out myself.
