As a result of Time Warner Cable®, Bright House Networks®, and Charter Communications® merging, Spectrum is available in forty-one states and serves over 25 million customers. Claiming to be one of America’s fastest growing TV, voice company, and internet service providers, Charter Spectrum attempts to provide high-quality service with superior entertainment and communication products.
Charter also claims that Spectrum TV offers more HD channels than any other provider. Customers can get instant access to thousands of On Demand shows and watch live TV anywhere in their home. Spectrum TV also allows customers to download their favorite movies and show onto their mobile devices with the Spectrum TV app.
Charter Spectrum has potential customers enter in their address to find out the exact services and rates for their location. While its residential services and rates will vary per location, Charter Spectrum does disclose the introductory prices for its packages.
Silver Double Play (Internet and TV Bundle)
Gold Double Play (Internet and TV Bundle)
With the Silver and Gold package, customers can watch premium channels without having to worry about paying a hefty fee.
Not only does Charter Spectrum offer cable TV services, but it also offers internet, home phone, mobile, and business services. As seen in the payment bundles and packages above, you can bundle a number of Charter Spectrum's services to help save on your monthly bill. Brief explanations of the additional services offered by Charter Spectrum can be found below.
Spectrum’s TV app gives customers full access to their TV lineup as well as up to 40,000 On Demand TV shows and movies on any mobile or connected device (including a smartphone, tablet, Roku, Xbox One, or a Samsung Smart TV). Spectrum users can watch their favorite shows, episodes, and movies anywhere — members can even use the app to program their DVR.
Customers can download the app to their phone and log in using their Spectrum.net email and password (signing in with the Spectrum username won’t work).
However, if a customer is at home and connected to a Spectrum authorized modem, the app will automatically authorize the username and password.
Along with bundles, cable television providers often use deals as a way to get new customers to sign up for their services. Charter Spectrum offers new customers a no-contact agreement as well as an offer to buy out any current contract for up to $500.
Unfortunately, these deals do not apply to all customers and a 12-month service commitment is standard for all other service packages provided at Charter Spectrum. Which deals or bundles are right for a specific customer can be confusing, but a customer service representative is always available to help on the Charter Spectrum website.
As rates of native Spanish speakers increase in the United States, the need for access to Spanish-speaking channels continues to rise. The Spectrum Mi Plan Latino TV and internet plan provides more than 130 channels with more than 75 of them in Spanish.
As with most companies in the industry, Charter Spectrum’s prices increase after a year of service. Before signing up for a plan, customers should ask how much they’ll be paying per month after the first 12 months. Initial lower prices is a common tactic in the industry and will only apply for a short amount of time. Customers should also ask about any other charges that might be added to their account — some companies will charge extra for the modem, DVR service, internet speeds, etc.
The top three complaints customers have about Charter Spectrum are unreliable service, price increases, and the company's subpar customer service. Many consumers mentioned the unreliable signal and felt that they were paying too much for the quality of service they were getting in recent Spectrum customer reviews. The price increases were another common complaint as customers felt that the prices were continually going up, but channels were being removed.
The majority of customer complaints found in Spectrum reviews are related to Charter Spectrum’s poor customer service. Consumers were not happy with the technicians or customer service representatives. There were mentions of being put on hold and never getting an answer, being hung up on during a call, being charged for things customers weren’t signed up for, waiting hours for a technician to come, and receiving faulty equipment.

Great service and fair prices. I love the self installation rather than waiting for a cable installer. Fast internet service and good quality HD viewing and streaming.
I feel I am getting a good value for the price I am paying. Customer service is easy tp reach, and handles all the issues I might have, mostly internet. For the most part, they are the best around I have used.
Company was ok. Service was ok, but channels would constantly get stuck, or internet was slow even though they said I had fast internet. When first contract was over they would not offer any more deals to keep my service, instead they raised prices.
I had RCN in my apartment for 5 years and my roommate recommended we make the switch, so I was about it. First off, their customer service is A+, they sent us the boxes for us to set it up ourselves and it worked like magic for the most part, until something was off - I didn't have to wait on the phone for very long to speak with someone, they were the sweetest and so thorough and helped me out with anything I needed that could be handled on the phone. I then needed not one, but three technicians to come to my apartment to help fix a cable wire. All the spectrum technicians were on-it and helped out in every way possible they can. One said he wasn't giving up until the job was done, he stayed for about two hours and honestly was happy so that everything could work again. Very happy with the decision I made to switch over.
Horrible service. Customer service is always busy, they have deals worth their quality.
No issues great service, I get a resolution every time I call and that is all that matters to me as a customer.
I love that they have on demand television. They have a good choice of channels also. That being said, sometimes its really slow and you have to wait for you show to load. I have Charter internet also, so...
Always had great service. Customer service was exceptional. Packages offered were always affordable
Best service I will always stay with charter never had a problem out of them great customer service
I've not had a pleasant experience with Charter Spectrum. From the get go, my experience was awful. I was sold two sets of equipment when I only ordered one. Apparently they have an issue internally with sales reps trying to pad their sales to reach bonuses. Any time I had an issue, I would tried to be upsold on something instead of their reps focusing on the problem at hand. In addition, I was told I was going to be reimbursed for my 30 day free trial and it has taken up to 4 months and I've had to call at least 4 different times to check up on it (each time, restarting the process).
Honestly my first year with spectrum was amazing but after is when things got a little weird. I hate that they charge you to make a payment on the phone to talk to a person like a normal human. After the rate changed it honestly wasn’t worth it and the towers kept going down in my area. I finally decided to part ways. Months later I’m getting a collection letter from them saying I never returned the equipment. They made me dig through receipts from months ago to prove I didn’t have the equipment. They still wouldn’t verify that I didn’t have it but decided to let it go. I made my final payment. They said it’s be one price and the next day I see I’ve been charged almost double, then I had to make two one hour long calls to get it situated and it still isn’t. Won’t be returning as a customer
Charge way too much for services. They offer bundle packages for 1 price that then keeps going up $5 this month, $10 the next, making an originally quoted $80 package up to $120 or more in a few months time
They are okay, however they are the only cable station we can get in our area, so there pretty expensive and it seems the bill goes up every year.
I have full bundle, TV, internet and phone. Generally this works well, except for TV which frequently goes blank and the only solution is to pull the plugs and replug to wait for absurd"We;re working on it" notice and after awhile it restarts. Also, internet speed is supposed to be 100Mbps but in reality it is 19.4; nevertheless, that is adequate. The worst part is billing. I have automatic payment through my bank (it takes two months to set up auto pay with Spectrum). Three times in the past year, twice this month, Spectrum has received automatic checks but did not cash them and then claimed I was behind in payments. They also claimed not to have received payment for February or March but I had endorsed, cancelled, checks from them for those payments. Talking to numerous "representatives" did no good until at last I go to a supposed supervisor who assured me everything is taken care of. Today all my services were disconnected. I m 83 years old and do not appreciate this aggravation.
Love that there isn’t no contract prices are okay could be better service is great.
Service was satisfactory but monthly charges were going up without notice. I saw on their website that they were offering much lower deals for new customers. I called to find out why I couldn't get that deal and they said "That's only to get new customers." So if you are a current customer they will continue to increase your monthly fees. I could discontinue the service and sign up again as a new customer but don't want to play those games.
Awesome package. I got the Spectrum Lifestyle Plan plus 200 Mbps internet below competitors rates. Very happy with the service.
If I could give them a negative score I would. This company is horrible. They kept calling the information a resolution. I had to ask if they even knew what that word meant. Reading a policy to someone a day after they call to ask for billing information, is not a resolution. This company DOES NOT care about their customers.
We are a large family who educates at home and we also run small business from our home. We use Charter Spectrum internet continually in our home and are very happy with the wifi option.
Never schedule a payment! Due date is 4/18/20 I scheduled on 4/13/20 to be paid on 4/16/20 The payment was deducted on 4/16/20 and again on 4/20/20 over 400.00 and Spectrum said a mistake was made but cannot be refunded for 10 days. Never had a problem before but will never do online payments again. A billing department that cannot correct a mistake for that amount. WOW
Spectrum just raised my bundled price. Initially told I was at the end of a promotion. After successfully arguing and proving that point not to be true, I was told I was on a "Legacy" plan (an old plan that Spectrum does not want to honor any more). I was told they are increasing pricing on all "Legacy" plans "systematically". What a great time to do that. While most companies are reaching out to assist consumers in this time of worldwide crisis, Spectrum is proceeding with aggressive, predatory business as usual. To be clear, I was not asking Spectrum to pay less, I was just asking to defer paying more until the Corona virus and economy improves. This fell on deaf ears at multiple levels. Maybe I am missing something. Maybe Spectrum has already cut prices for healthcare facilities and doctors offices to offset financial burden during this unprecedented time in our history...nope.
Despite the fact that charter signed the pledge to keep Americans connected stating not to disconnect internet service or charge late fees during covid-19 pandemic my internet was disconnected two days ago due to a $65 bill lwhich is 47.99 past due. Not only is that not even that serious of an amount but they are not adhering to their pledge. I waited forever to chat with a representative who transferred me to a supervisor who stated that he would reconnect the internet. it was reconnected and here I am two days later having no internet because they disconnected AGAIN due to non-payment. Thanks for lying about your pledge charter. you guys are are liars and and have poor business ethics. I happen to have an autistic child in middle School who needs to attend virtual academy and this internet disconnection , despite their lie of a pledge, is interfering with her schooling.
I recently received a letter from Spectrum that my services will be increasing by more than 35%. I can’t believe this company would push through price increases when so many Americans are suffering including us. I sent emails to Spectrum management, but they showed zero empathy. I would recommend that you drop Spectrum the first chance you get. There is no company as uncaring as Spectrum. Why couldn’t Spectrum suspend price increases for at least until the Pandemic has ended? I guess they think $$$ is more important than people.
I lost my job due to covid 19. my dad is in the icu on a respirator Charter Spectrum decided to raise my bill that ive paid on time for a year. and after jumping through hoops, and an hour and a half hold, they were ridiculously rude and disconnected while i was talking. So there you have how charter spectrum is helping during this time of need, by greedily going after minor (to them) price increases and offering nothing helpful. Will be canceling soon after my dads out of icu
Watching TV just now and the program keeps buffering, it’s a Saturday afternoon watching CNBC and it cuts out every 2 minutes so I’ve missed most of the show..I don’t want to hear about lots of people watching because of the COVID 19..turn your signal up, lord knows you charge enough, can’t wait until t this company has so many cable cutters that they don’t exist anymore, I’ll bet this doesn’t happen to the the Boss of Charter Communications..
I had Spectrum Internet and Cable TV since 1/2020 and the service is horrible! The Internet drops connection multiple times a day up to 3 minutes before it re-connects. The TV picture breaks up on multiple channels making watching TV impossible. Every time I try to call for technical support I get a recording that "Due to high call volumes we cannot accept your call" and the call disconnects. For the price they are charging the company is a complete rip off!
I used to have high regards for this company until I needed to disconnect my service. I will never use this company again. If I get to the place where I need internet and TV I will use Dish. Spectrum rips you off. They don't provide you the internet speed you pay for and they bill you for services not used.
the only problem I have is the bill from spectrum I live in Columbia sc my plan is $135 plus they charge me $10.50 for some fees I paid that. that was last month bill then for this month my bill went up to $250.00 and I tried to get in touch with someone nobody got on the phone this bill is really high this is really ridiculous.
I cannot understand Spectrum. Their email service is the worst. I have been a customer for 10+ years. I use their internet and email service . I to solve the issues most of the time myself. When I call for technical assistance, they are ridiculously slow and even drop the calls.
We are in a world wide pandemic. More and more people are being required to stay home and Spectrum raises their internet price by almost $11! Obviously Spectrum does not care what's happening in the world and certainly doesn't care about their customers.
I recently canceled my internet service after being a customer of Charter Spectrum for 10+ years. After looking at other options, including other products that Charter Spectrum offered, I made the decision to switch. I looked at reliability, customer service and price. I called on March 5 to discontinue my service and returned my equipment on March 13. This is when it was discovered that I was being charged for a full month of service. The "cycle date" was on April 1st and they no longer give partial month credits. After speaking to several agents, supervisors and managers, I was told that I was informed of this in my monthly statement back in June 2019. I informed him that I was on their autopay program, and I did not always review the monthly invoice. He apologized for the inconvenience, but that the was the policy. I told him an inconvenience was having to stay on hold, this was taking money out of my pocket for 26 days of service that I would not be able to use. He again told me that they complied with all federal and state regulations on notifying me of the change. Which my response was doing the right, ethical and moral thing. I can see why cable market share is declining with so many customers keep leaving for a better product , superior customer service and save money. My only regret is not making this decision sooner. My advice to anyone who is considering staying/leaving Charter Spectrum is do the homework, read all of the reviews and get everything in writing. Also, be cautious if you choose to disconnect the service, they will do everything possible to get every last dollar they can.
Worst company I've ever had to deal with. We have had internet outages daily for over a year and they won't fix it. Had so many techs come out they decided to charge us a $50 service fee, even though they still haven't fixed the issue. They won't credit you for any time you were without service and will continue to increase the price without telling you. Would not recommend to anyone, ever. Useless, lying customer service reps and service techs that have no clue what they're doing. You'd probably be better off with Comcast, and that's saying something. Sad, sad excuse for a company. It's insane that they're allowed to continue such a large-scale scam with no consequences. Everyone knows spectrum is shady.
I have been a customer of Bright House in Florida for the past 30 years. The word "Bright" in their name was always a stretch. I cancelled the credit card used to pay Bright House 10 years ago and went to check/cash because of so many "billing errors". Now that they are Spectrum, I will be "cutting the cord" when I return to Florida next fall. Dropped channels even from Basic Plan with Enhanced ? On Demand is a fantasy, and Customer Service is an oxymoron, IF you can ever get past the automated idiot. Then, of course, getting an agent that can speak passable English is a 10% chance. The Cable/Internet monopoly at work. Bright House will be the main reason I vote Democratic this year. Go Bernie!
Got digital......March 5th 2018. Terrible service. Turn TV on it says please wait......when it comes on....you pick a channel.......you see it but it says unavailable. Channels change slow and have to reset the box twice a week. The internet TV service for out of town is a scam. 1/2 of the channels don't show. Had service here often. All say it fixed now.........not ever.....always the same poor service. We should all get a 30% rate cut until the problems are fixed.....if they are even fixable. Seems like they are not. Save yourself some grief....DON'T GET IT. YOU WILL BE SORRY!!!!
great variety of TV channels to choose from. The service is very inexpensive and I never lose signal!
I never had any issues with my charter service and the prices were always the cheapest compared to the other services in the area.
Good product but did not like not having access to price points after committing to contract
I wish it was just their service that was horrible. Companies Trustworthiness...... what a joke, I wish I could give them 0 stars. Most companies want consumers to sing praise of their company, Spectrum would screw over their whole family for a quick buck. I cancelled my service and left the contract the day before the billing cycle, now they are trying to make me pay for a month I didn’t use because my modem and router weren’t returned until the 24th. Getting lawyers involved because I refuse to let them take advantage of me. I will throw money at this until THEY LOSE. It’s time we stand up to Goliath and make them change their ways.
Was told my phone, internet and streaming was bundled for 177 a month but today after not having to pay my phone bill for 3 months I was told that now I suddenly owe 70 dollars a month for the phone separately. All the customer service reps beat around the bush and do not help me> they only want me to get a different plan for less money which I am not doing since I was told I would get everything I want for a different price.
Worst company ever, cancelled my cable and home phone 4 days after the billing cycle. Only kept the internet which is $74.99, and they are still trying to charge me a whole month for all 3 services.
If you wanna get scammed, use Spectrum (AKA Charter Communications). They'll raise your rates after a year or two and never stop raising them. You can call them and ask to lower your bill, but they'll offer you a nice deal thats even "MORE" than you're already paying "and the lady will laugh at you" while doing it.
review = 0 shady practices stupid company bad service
very Deceptive - Had me assume an account of a deceased person and stuck me with their bill
This networks makes everything so easy. Everything can be connected to just one account for a low price. Anytime we have issues they are very fast with repairs or troubleshooting. I love how friendly the employees are as well
They lie, one representative doesn't have any knowledge of what the other has said or done, my bill changes every month and always a different excuse, im paying 250 a month for less than i started with a 120 a month
We had spectrum for 9 years...4 years to get tech service to fix connection issues at the street (during this time - we averaged about a week per month without cable service), then another year to fix connection point in the attic. Ended up taking our boxes to be swapped about 3 to 4 times. Never once did they offer a discount for poor service over the years. Instead, all the while increasing rates. $200 for 3 tvs and the slowest/cheapest internet option available! wow! We asked if there was any kind of reduction available since new customers were coming in at a much lower rate. We were told that wasn't an option. Finally decided to make a change. Big savings & 5 times faster internet. Spectrum customer service is pathetic. Also, beware - make sure you ask all of the details about connecting prices & if/when you disconnect. If you don't ask, they won't tell you.
Went thru Promotional period then had a huge price increase to almost $200/mth. Paid for over a year then tried to cancel over website (chat) was told cannot; you have to call. Went to local office to turn in unused receiver (paid for over a year) and requested cancellation. Was told had to be done over phone. Called; Agent tried to get me to keep and got irate when I did not. Angrily told me I could not cancel and expect a refund because they did not pro-rate. Told him fine, cancel service at end of term period, or as soon as able to. Took equipment back the day after the service was suppose to have ended. Got a bill for the following full month. On calling was told I had not canceled and besides they would not pro-rate and I would have to pay full month. No getting thru to them. Called a couple other times and last call ended with speaking to CS Supervisor, who quoted the same thing. I explained I had no cancellation documented since I couldn't do cancellation over internet nor in person; that if her agent had failed to turn off service as requested or document cancellation as discussed, it was on them, not me and for her to listen to the tape recording since they supposedly record these calls. Loong discussion, she closed by stating she would go back and listen to the recording and go by that. I have the receipt for the equipment being turned in as agreed. Am still receiving phone calls and threats from collection company. I hate Spectrum. How does one fight something like this? Somebody needs to stop this fraudulent and deceptive practice.
Absolutely useless, this company needs to be shut down. They advertise that you can watch TV from anywhere with this great app of theirs, well guess what? YOU CAN'T! If you are not on your local network it will not show all the channels, you only get access to the basic channels that you can get from the channels website itself. Now they are requiring that you login, well there IS NO WAY to enter a valid username and password because you CAN NOT ENTER UPPER CASE LETTERS and they require it for the passwords. Looks like someone is loosing way too much money to give the cooperate higher ups the 10 million dollar salary that they so deserve... They need to charge for the awesome boxes they have... STAY AWAY FROM RECTRUM... As much as it pains me to say it, go with ATT, lesser of the evils.
This company should be sued and fined for fraud. I just got off the phone with a rep who confirmed I cancelled my cable/boxes two weeks ago, but she says spectrum does not give refunds for any days not used. They charge the whole month upfront and you can cancel after the 1st day into that month and your cable/TV can be cutoff but I still have to pay my entire month - even though my cable was cutoff! How is this legal?????
I am looking into suing Spectrum, forcing me to have a phone as part of their bundle when the year was out. They have horrible service and customer service. Looking into antennas, so I can tell spectrum to shove it!!
