Kickresume is very customizable. You can choose the font, date style, colors, and template. If you don’t like a section that’s auto-added, you can delete it and add a different one. The resume templates are available in several languages. Though you’re building from templates, you can make the resume look like yours.
Resume Almost Writes Itself
Kickresume provides resume writing help. When you put in your job title, it will match that title and industry with phrases you could put on your resume that likely match experience that you’ve had. This helps you avoid writer’s block and know how to phase your job experience in the best light. Though not all of these phrases will be applicable, it’s an incredible tool. If you’d like more writing help, Kickresume offers grammar correction (by real human editors) for $29.
Help with Cover Letter and Website Too
Kickresume also has templates for creating cover letters. The cover letter templates match the resume templates so you can have a matching set while applying for jobs. Like the resume builder, the cover letter builder has pre-written phrases that you can add in based on your job title or industry.
Kickresume can also create you a free website version of your resume. This can include your picture, contact information, and each section of your resume as a separate tab. The Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a good free resume builder, this isn’t the one for you (unless you’re a student). However, if you’re willing to pay for your resume builder, you get quite the bang for your buck. Not many resume builders help you write your resume, and hardly any build you a resume website. Kickresume is a great option.
