About Me

Greetings, friends! My name is Shawn Cox and I serve as Chief Financial Officer for Solera Energy. This company was founded by my brother, Will, nearly a decade ago, and we've had the privilege of completing solar installations for numerous school districts, municipalities, universities, commercial businesses, and more than 4,000 homes across the Show-Me state. In fact, Solera has installed more solar than every other company in the state - COMBINED. Our success has been driven by our "Wired Differently" values: God, help us to always do the right thing, even when it's hard. Have a fanatical dedication to exceed customers' expectations. These principles are the foundation of everything we do at Solera. Unlike most companies, we don't subcontract a single step of the process. Every person you interact with at Solera is a full-time, W2 employee committed to our mission. Prior to Solera Energy, I spent over a decade working in the public accounting industry. I was raised in the Springfield, MO area and brought up by small business-owning parents. I played college football at the University of Central Missouri and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Finance. God has blessed me immensely with an amazing wife (Lauren) and four beautiful sons; Beckett (9), Colson (7), McKade (4), and Walker (1). I also serve on the Worship Team at Connect Church in Springfield.
