  • Innovative Features

Business Packages

  • Teams — costs $4 per user per month ($48 annually) and includes 5–50 users, an admin dashboard, a zero-knowledge security model, password management, two-factor authentication, standard policies, and standard reporting.
  • Enterprise — costs $6 per user per month ($72 annually) and includes 5+ users, an admin dashboard, a zero-knowledge security model, password management, directory integration, single sign-on, two-factor authentication, and advanced policies and reporting.
  • MFA — costs $4 per user per month ($36 annually) includes 5+ users, an admin dashboard, a zero-knowledge security model, directory integration, adaptive multi-factor authentication, and advanced policies and reporting.
  • Identity — costs $8 per user per month ($96 annually) and includes 5+ users, an admin dashboard, a zero-knowledge security model, password management, directory integration, single sign-on, adaptive authentication, and advanced policies and reporting.

The company allows customers to have 30-day free trials for its personal packages and 14-day free trials for its Team and Enterprise business packages. LastPass does not require customers to provide their credit card information in order to obtain a free service trial.

Innovative Features

LastPass has the following innovative features that customers can take advantage of:

  • Form autofill
  • Password vault software
  • Digital wallet software
  • Secure password manager
  • Password generator
  • Username generator
  • Password Authenticator

In addition to the features listed above, LastPass uses a strong level of encryption technology and multi-factor authentication for added user security.

Online Resource Center

LastPass provides customers with a significant amount of online resources. These resources offer information about the company itself, personal security tips and advice, how to use LastPass, and more. The company also offers business-specific resources on its website.

The Bad

  • Limited Customer Support Contact
  • Annual License Purchasing

Limited Customer Support Contact

Although LastPass has a wide range of information that can be found on its website, it does not appear to have a 24/7 live customer support team. Rather, customers are only able to contact the customer service team by filling out a form on the LastPass website. This lack of around-the-clock live customer support may not satisfy customer needs.

Annual License Purchasing

LastPass only allows customers to purchase licenses on an annual basis. Fortunately, the company states on its website that LastPass plans “can be changed or cancelled anytime by simply contacting our Support team. There is no minimum contract, although licenses are purchased on an annual basis. You can also export your passwords if you decide to leave.”

The Bottom Line

LastPass offers quite a bit in comparison to other companies in the password management industry. Users have several plan options to choose from, including a free personal plan. The company also offers free trials without any required credit card information and its plans include multiple innovative features including everything from a form automator to a password generator. LastPass also offers free in-depth online resources for customers to refer to.

However, LastPass does not seem to provide much opportunity for live customer support and forces customers to purchase licenses annually rather than monthly. Potential customers are encouraged to read several LastPass reviews and conduct their own research before purchasing a password management package.

It's really nice to have a service that generates complicated, near-unbreakable passwords for you to use. You just need one password to access them, rather than either using the same password for all your accounts, or trying to remember all your different passwords for each account. They have a free version which is nice to have on your main device.

LastPass has honestly saved me so much time and pain. It is very nice to have all of my passwords saved in one place, and the auto-fill feature makes everything so much easier.

Loved LastPass! At work I had over 20 different passwords that were changing weekly for security purposes and being able to keep them all in one place was amazing! The best feature, however, was being able to share passwords with co-workers and/or clients! It kept things secure and simple!

I use the free version, but I love this password manager. It makes it so easy to save and create secure passwords without thinking how you had to adjust one of the 5 passwords you use for everything. (Did I add a 1 or a ! at the end?)

Probably the best password manager there is. The app is extremely good and fills in your passwords and usernames. The web extension is basically the exact same, always works very good.

I've used LastPass for a few years now. I would not use the free service as it does not include two-factor authentication. They have the most features for the price. The sad part is they keep going up in price. You can generate passwords, it has a security report showing, to help you improve security, and many other features. I have used a few other solutions, but continue to come back to LastPass.

I like how easy it is to use LastPass to help me with my passwords. I also like that I can use it on my phone. Sometimes it doesn't work on a few websites or it thinks something is a password when it's not.

I trust LastPass and like that it is an easy extension to download. I don't like that it asks you about every log in you sign in with on your computer.

I wanted to try this product out, but when I went to sign up, I was informed that I already had an account. I think that I might have opened an account a few years ago, but I can't remember and haven't used it and don't remember the password. I couldn't find any easy way to contact the company and explain my situation. I guess that if you want to be a customer of this company, you had better be on the ball, lucky, and really persistent. Not the way I would try to attract customers!
