Bark is a mobile app created as a smart tool for parents to protect their children from online dangers, including cyberbullying, internet predators, depression, suicidal thoughts, and sexting. Bark uses advanced technology to alert parents of potential dangers without parents having to closely monitor their children's phones manually.
Bark is available for individuals as well as for school districts, at no cost to the schools. The Bark app is compatible with iOS, Android, and Amazon mobile devices. The mobile app is $9 per month for the entire family or $99 per year if you pay annually. This includes a 7-day free trial.
Bark offers connection with unlimited apps, unlimited monitored activity for every account you connect, text and/or email alerts when the app detects possible issues, and world-class security with SSL encryption.
Bark is compatible with most other parental control products. However, monitoring issues occur if you’re using Bark on iOS devices while also using programs such as Verizon Family Base and Norton Family. Google Family Link, Apple Screen Time, and other popular Parental control programs work fine with Bark.
Bark is not currently available outside of the United States.
