The University of San Diego’s School of Nursing and Health Science was named the "Best Grad School 2019" for its Master’s Degree Program, as well as for its Doctor of Nursing Practice Program from the U.S. News & World Report. Students enrolled at the university will receive the education and training they need to graduate and enter their specialty field.
The University of San Diego wants others to know that in a world of changing demographic patterns, emerging diseases, and mobile populations, the Hahn School of Nursing and Health and Science is dedicated to providing its students with a plethora of opportunities to gain awareness and knowledge. The school has two international missions currently:
The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science offers its students a Career and Professional Resource Center, which is useful for students looking for opportunities to enter the nursing field. Many other universities only have a generalized career resource center, so this specific feature is beneficial to students struggling to find job openings.
The Hahn School of Nursing and Health Science has a Graduate Nursing Student Association (GNSA) that helps promote interaction among graduate nursing students, faculty, alumni, and the nursing community. The GNSA will often sponsor activities that enhance professional growth and provide an atmosphere which members can exchange their ideas.
Probably the most significant downside to the University of San Diego’s Nursing program is the fact that a bachelor’s degree isn’t offered. The school offers master’s degree programs, PhD programs, and Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) programs, but students will have to get their bachelor’s degree from another university.
