Recent updates have brought the inception of three new services through Upserve. The first, Workforce, is a new feature in the POS software that allows employers to create schedules and employees to clock-in and clock-out all from one central platform. Shifts can be shared via text messages by managers and early clock-ins can be avoided with time restraint features. The second new feature is tableside ordering. The new hardware that has hit the market allow for orders, menu details, and any other company-specific items to be with the server at all times. The hardware is equipped with a hand strap and a belt clip to ensure ease in service. The last of the new features is the Restaurant Inventory Management Software. The merchant services provider does charge an early termination fee of $300 for cancellation of payment processing prior to the end of the contract period. If software contracts are terminated early, the customer is responsible for 75 percent of the remaining recurring fees and the number of months outstanding in the contract term. The typical contract length is 36 months, and Upserve clearly discloses these facts in their payment processor contract, so this won't be a surprise to you.

Our company owns and operates three fine dining restaurants all located in different states. All (3) locations are run differently than one another. What is most challenging for us is finding a company like Upserve, who has made it easy for us to manage all of our locations in one place! Our experience with Upserve has been positive. It is a very valuable tool for our top management to be able to track the sales and events at four properties, and communicate within the team. Drawing together several aspects of daily recordings into an accessible platform has saved us a lot of time. Frustrations are mainly around UX preferences, or the occasional bug, but we have also seen and appreciated greater ongoing development than with other services.
A great system overall and very responsive customer service. The system crashes that were common a few years ago have disappeared.

The analytics that Upserve offers are amazing. I used to pay for credit card processing and get nothing else. Now I get amazing data reporting, an daily logbook tool, and other awesome features essentially for free. I will never go back to traditional credit card processors.

Hands down it is the best point of sale system that we have ever used. It is a little clunky on the back end of things, but makes up for it on the front end. Still wish the tip pooling set up would be more involved so I could do away with another integrated software, but I'm sure that they're working on it!
Upserve has been God sent for my restaurant. It features are so easy to work they are almost dummy proof, especially for those that are not tech savy such as myself. They system breaks down every aspect of my business and now with the online ordering feature I now can compete with the big boys. The product mix tab and the labor tab are the 2 I use most frequent. They are very accurate.
Upserve helps my company to track and learn the spending preferences of my best guests and turn first time guests into recurring guests.
I have used other POS systems in the past and Upserve/Breadcrumb is by far the best for my full service bar/restaurant. The system is easy to use, customer service is fast and friendly, the data integration with Quickbooks is a huge time-saver, and the analytics are super-helpful!

I searched for months for a POS for our new restaurant. Priority was current technology and integration. UPserve won by a mile! great customer service, very responsive, training is thorough and easily accessible by employees. Integration with reservations, online ordering, loyalty programs HR and Quickbooks? worth the cost, to not hire a paper pushing GM. They even helped me figure out a solution for power outages and we switched the receipt printer to another model to stay up and running during extended power outages. I have found the engineers eager to listen to missing components and make changes. Were about ready to go live, so ill comeback in a month and update. Oh they even have a 0% interest finance on your entire set up and equipment package, through June.
Breadcrumb is very easy to use, to train new emplyees on, is reliable, and the support system through upserve is very responsive. It is also affordable...

Upserve integrates extremely well with the Micros/Oracle POS system that we have at all four of our Chicagoland locations. The analytics are great when it comes to tracking labor, menu items, sales, etc. The desktop version has a Transaction Search function that makes it easy to look up credit cards that may need review. The Reviews tab compiles all of the major online review sites for each location, making it easy to see where improvements may need to happen. And then there's the App. Upserve Live is a great tool for the owners of the company and myself to see where sales and labor are at in real time. As the Director of Operations of our restaurant group, it helps me see how well our managers at each location are doing with managing their respective staffs. There is also a customizable Logbook function for each location both on the App and the desktop version that is one of the greatest tools we have as a company to keep each other informed on guest, staff, ordering, and R&M related matters.
Efficient, user friendly and easy to edit and update for a rotating selection of menu items. Reporting centers are easy to read and modify, and allows for great financial feedback. Customer service is always quick and responsive, if there is ever an issue, which is rare!
We were using a different POS that was absolutely awful! Upserve/Breadcrumb came in and saved truly saved the day! the backend reporting is extremely helpful and having the app helps me check on business even when I'm not in the building.
Great customer support and a very well updated and maintained system. It is worth the cost of the hardware for the support and ability to access the info you need on the fly. I would recommend this to all restaurant owners.

Very easy to use and to train staff. A little glitchy but overall very reliable.

This software is great and the analytics are super powerful. It can tell you what sever's are performing best, new vs repeat customers based on credit card data etc. Definitely ahead of the curve technologically. It's efficient and incredibly stable. We are VERY happy customers. The only two con's (I have) are that: 1) there's not a "No Sale" report for people opening the cash register without a sale. 2) If you are a bar where more than one person touches a tab, the employee performance analytics are useless as it assigns the sale to the person who opened/closed the tab (not the person adding items to it).
I have enjoyed upserve for the most part. I still wish it was easier to break down sales for any given day more similar to NCR Pulse. I want to be able to select a day and see a breakdown of payments (Cash, cc, gift card, etc), and then be able to see each guest check for that day as well. This feature would save me a lot of time when things aren't adding up and I need to check things out.
The service is great. You get real time information that can help you make decisions in the short and long term. You can quickly look at reviews on multiple platforms as well as grade your team on performance.

Upserve and all of their employees have been very helpful. From the transition of our credit card processing to walking us through the system and even on the accounting side. They have always been available and always come onsite to help me out instead of just passing me off through emails like other companies. They follow up after every interaction to make sure i got what i needed out of the meeting and to make sure everything is set. I have enjoyed everyone I have worked with through Upserve, and the app is amazing for a person who runs multiple locations like myself. I cant be in two places at once but this app makes me feel like I'm in the know all the time.
This POS is very easy to use, I set the entire system up with no training and 10 minutes of support. Training my staff is a breeze, they just use it, it's that easy.
Good point of sale software. It does what you need to and more for an affordable price. Upserve has been upgrading the system constantly since they purchased it. We like it.
Upserve is my credit card processor and POS company. They offer a very robust system with integrated online ordering. It has saved us time, labor and headaches. Their tech support is very knowledgeable and friendly.

My favorite part about Upserve is the app on my phone. I get live sales information, including info about labor, voids, and discounts. It helps me manage labor better, and if I see a lot of voids, I can immediately address it without having to be on site at my restaurant and pull a report from the POS system. I can also compare sales to previous weeks and last year, so it gives me a good idea of how we're doing, and allows us to be able to project sales and manage labor better.

Pros: Excellent analytics, with easily manipulable variables. Greatly improved efficiencies in ordering. Easy UI. Cons: Poor connectivity at times. Lacking some essential features needed for my restaurant.
Ties into Micros and have rarely encountered issues with service or support. We only use the merchant processing piece (Swipely), and even then it still gives us our Micros data quicker and more accurately than Micros InMotion. Even provides all the KPIs in an aesthetically pleasing dashboard.
Upserve has "lost" my batch (thousands of dollars) and I had to make an appointment for 28 hours in the future to discuss it. Do not use this service!!!!!
