They came up on the internet while I was looking for a different service that had like a phone that you can use to talk to a person and I ended up signing up for it. Customer service was good with the set up part of it. I have not had to use it, I just carry the cellphone bit with me just in case. Though I don't like that I have to carry the extra piece along with the button itself when I leave. I'd prefer to have something that's all in one. I'm actually going to be dropping them soon.
After I fell, my daughters looked things up on the internet, found the best company out there, and got it for me. I had to use it about two days after Christmas, on the 27 of December. I fell backwards when I was going into my house, I just lost my balance and went down. It was really cold out, 5 degrees below zero, and I didn't know what I was going to do. Thank god I had my medical alert with me, so I grabbed it and pushed the button. I also happened to have my cellphone on my pocket and used it to call my daughter. She called the fire department too and they told her that they were on their way already. If I hadn't had those two things I would've died, no one would've come to check in on me. It saved my life. I think that every elderly person that lives on their own should get one. Even if you have another person in the house with you, they're not always available to help you. It's worth it, there's no way to put a price on your life. I don't mind paying what I'm paying to have it.
I did some research and they had the best reviews out there, so I got it. I've never had to use it, I just have it in case of emergency. Customer service is good though, they've called and checked on me a couple of times.

I got it since I felt that it had great coverage, it wasn't just limited to the house. The button is comfortable, I wear it every day. Whenever we call they respond immediately. They also always speak very softly and are just very nice and reassuring. They're wonderful.
My daughter gave this to me. I've never had to use it, but it's there in case I ever need it. For a person that's 81, lives alone, and has heart trouble, this is a good service to have. It came with a watch and I wear it when I'm out in the yard working. At night I wear the necklace so if I have another heart attack while in bed I can just push the button to call for help. Both me and my daughter feel much better and safer having it with us. I know I can depend on them.
I was thinking about getting one of these and looked at the different ones available. In the end I went for Medical Guardian. I use it when I'm out, especially if I'm by myself. It's very easy to just have it on me. I've never had to use it, but when I call to check in on things, everything has been good. I like the way everything operates.

I just found them through advertisements so I got it for my husband since he's handicapped and falls a lot. He's too heavy for me to lift him up on my own. So far their responses have been wonderful. They're usually here within minutes of us calling and help me get him up. The device is very easy to use too, it's around his neck at all times. We have no issues with it and I'm very happy with them.
Their monitoring center is great. I really appreciate the person on the phone that has answered all my questions. They're very helpful.
I saw an ad from them and decided to give it a try. I haven't had to use it since I got it, I just wear it all the time. When I've called to test the button they're always right there.

I didn't pick, my daughter did. I wear it every day and haven't had any problems. I've bumped it accidentally and they've been right on the ball, asking me if I'm ok and if I needed any help. They are always prompt, courteous, and understanding. They're terrific.
The features, especially the GPS one, were an important part of my decision. From what I looked at, all of their features were excellent, so I picked them. I realize that there are other folk out there that also offer that, but I've been very happy with Medical Guardian. I like everything about it so far. Generally speaking, I make sure to wear it most of the time while I'm out and about and sometimes when I'm at home. Thus far their customer support has been good. I've gotten a great deal of support from them since the set up and they have been very responsive. It's not cheap though. I mean, I paid for a full year and I wish I had gotten some kind of discount on it since I'm a disabled vet, but anyway.
I got it since it allowed my mom to be independent and go out of the house on her own. She is able to go and be part of the community and still have some security if something were to happen. She has not had to use it, thank god. On a regular day she either goes to the grocery store or just stays at home to work in the yard or something. She wears the necklace but it's just very large. She's afraid that if other people see her wearing it they'd think she's handicapped and that's a problem for her. If she could have something smaller that was not as obvious, I think everything would be perfect. Right now I'm thinking about getting her to wear the watch, but it might still be a problem. Still, I think it's a fabulous device. They have been very helpful. They called us when they were setting things up in her home and were very patient and just excellent.
Looking around it just looked like the other just had too many features that I really didn't need. One day I was walking a bit and started getting short of breath so I pushed the button. It worked, though I had to be right on top of the speaker so that they could hear me. They also ask a whole lot of questions when they call.
I saw an Ad on television that said they were the best service, so I got it. I've never had to use it, I just wear it. Overall I think it's good.
I picked them for my mother since I liked that it was based in the United States. That way they had English speaking people that we could understand easily. My mother doesn't really wear it much when she's around the house. When she walks outside to get the mail or something she takes it with her. She has fallen before while going for the mail so we're glad she does that. Though She finds it very difficult to carry the thing with her. She doesn't like wearing it around her neck since it bumps against her chest. When she tried just holding it, she accidentally set it off. If there was a way for her to have it in her pocket without it going off, that'd make it easier for her to carry it. They do seem to be readily available all the time.
My doctor recommended it to me. I've had it for several months now but just last week my mom was having a COPD. I was terrified and was trying to call 911 but my mom was in such a panic and I was so scared that my mind just went blank. That's when I saw the machine and it was almost as if an angel was there. I was able to just press the button and tell them to call an ambulance for us. They were there right away when we needed them.
I had read about them in an advertising and since the price seemed right, I got it. Typically I just wear the necklace all the time while I'm at home. When I leave, I wear the little bracelet thing and put the little base unit in my purse as well. I also have one of them on me whenever I take a shower. I haven't had to use it but I'm glad I have it. What I didn't realize when I bought it was that the only way to talk or hear them was through base unit. That could be a problem if I happen to fall out in the yard or somewhere out of range from the unit. I don't think that's a good set up...

With regards to how your Mobile Guardian would work if you fall out in the yard with the mobile base out of speaking range, you would still be able to get the help you need so long as you are within 350 feet of your mobile base. The main reason I have it is because, if I were to fall, I can report it immediately to someone. I usually put the necklace around my neck when my wife is not at home. Every two weeks we have a couple of cleaning people come and on one occasion they picked up either the watch or the necklace thing and squeezed the button. They called us and I had to explain the situation, but everything was ok. The only problem I have right now is that it's not really effective beyond my front door.

My nephew decided to get this for me. He came with his wife to spend some time with me and he just told me he had gotten something for me in the mail. He told me what it was and that I needed to wear it every day. He didn't really force me to wear it, I just started doing it, and I'm glad that I did. I just put it on in the morning when I get up to do my breakfast. I also take it with me when I go too town and go to the YMCA and walk around for a bit. They're good, but there is always some room for improvement.
After reading online reviews, I thought it'd be good to get it. I barely ever run into any issues with them. About 2 weeks ago, my dad had a stroke while my mom was there. She pressed the button and they were able to get a hold of us and some help. The only thing is that it'd be nice if they made it so that there was a mic and speaker on the actual device rather than having it all on the base station.

I got it after I had an incident where I passed out and fell on the floor. I laid there for quite a while before I could get to my cellphone. After I got out of the hospital I decided to just get Medical Guardian. It has been working out great for me. At first I was scared that I would hit the button by mistake, but that hasn't happened yet. Their customer service has been very helpful and open. I've called them three times already with some questions and they have always given me good responses. It has given me a whole lot of comfort to know that I can get help just by pushing a button.
My husband was the one that did the research on it all and picked it based on the reviews he saw. My father in law is the one that has it. We live with him, but he had to use it once when he fell. Everything worked out fine, they responded quickly.
My daughter in law was the one that decided to get it for me. It usually sits on my bureau, I haven't had to use it really. It's there if I need it and whenever call customer support the people are there for me. They were also great when I was just signing up.
We got it as a recommendation from someone. Fortunately I have not had to use it for anything other than testing. Still, they are prompt to answer and always very polite. They could get better designs for ladies, I don't like the black cord for the button that goes around my neck. It doesn't match well when I'm dressing up.

I got it since it's an easy and convenient service. I only ever wear it when I go to the exercise room while no one is around. The device is small enough for me to handle. I check it every month or so and the response I've gotten has been fast.
I googled several companies and liked them the best, so I signed up with them. Thankfully I've never had to use it, but I wear it when I leave the house to go to the store, work on the yard, or just go anywhere. They've always been there every time I call. I've had really good luck with them. I know that it's there for me if I do need it.
The price was a big factor in my choice to go with them. When I call they follow through with us. I think I've used it twice so far and I've never had any trouble with it.
I got it as a recommendation from a family doctor that I've had for years. The device is very convenient. I passed out on two different occasions and they sent out the EMTs to come and get me. They took care of everything. Customer service is always pleasant and funny.

They're very reliable and have always answered my questions well.
My children got this for me as a Christmas gift. I haven't had to use it, but when I accidentally hit it someone calls me right away to see if I'm ok. They've also called me to see how I'm doing and everything.
