Being honest, most of the services I looked at were very similar in what they covered. They just happened to have what my mom needed for a reasonable price, so I got it for her. She wears the bracelet since it seems to be more comfortable for her. We haven't had to use it, but I think she has pressed the button accidentally once. They called 911 and the rescue team showed up really quickly. Though it turned out that she was just fast asleep and rolled onto the button by accident. We got a letter from them before our contract was up for renewal that explained how much we were going to be billed if we decided to renew the service. I gave them a call because, for one, the card that they were going to charge was no longer active. The price was also about $100 more than what we had paid previously and that just didn't seem right.

I'm becoming a senior citizen and I walk a lot by myself. So, if something were to happen to me where I needed help, I needed to have something to get help. It was also in part to ease my daughter's concerns about me since she usually works at the time I take my walks. So, I just looked things up online and they were actually the first ones I checked out. Since I just needed to get something quickly, I bought it. When I called to purchase the thing, the person that I dealt with had a lot of information and explained everything in a way that I could understand. He was very helpful. Everything is up in my room and I wear everything all the time. Thankfully I haven't had to use it. There's a lot of other services out there that are a lot cheaper than them, but at this point I think I'll stick with them.

My daughter picked it out while I was in the hospital. If I remember well, she said she picked them because they had a one time price instead of a monthly one. I actually took the button to the jeweler and had a permanent clip put on it. I also bought a nicer silver chain for it. It's a little irritating to wear sometimes, but it's better than anything. It works well in the shower. I've never had to use it for an emergency, but I wear it all the time and test it once a month. They've always been responsive when I do that. The only thing I have a bit of a problem with is the thing that hangs on the door with the extra key inside. It's kind of big and it bangs against the door every time I shut it. I think they could come up with a better design for it. Still, I'm happy with it.

My son was the one that looked through several services and this one was the best one he found. So he just got it for me. I have the necklace and wear it around my neck, though sometimes I have it in my pocket. I haven't really had to use it but I'm supposed to test it once a month or so. The button has been pushed by mistake too. Whenever that happens, they respond right away and are very nice about tests and mistakes. It has been good so far.

My daughter in law checked on them and she was the reason why I decided to get involved with them. I wear the watch rather than the necklace. I'm not really happy with it since the button is very large. The band where the button is on actually broke, so now I'm having to deal with that and carry the thing in my pocket. It's not very good at all. I haven't had the need to use it but whenever I test it they've been very pleasant.

A big factor in my decision was the fact that it had GPS capabilities, which means that I'm not limited to just being in my house. I really haven't had an occasion to use it, but I've tested it before. At one point we ran into a problem with the box thing and they sent me another one the following day to replace it. After that I was able to just send them back the other equipment. I was very impressed with their overnight service. The one problem I've found is that if I try and call them on the regular phone it takes a long time before they answer. On one occasion, after someone actually answered, that person ended up transferring me to someone else.

We wanted to go with a company that was located as close to our home as possible, so we ended up going with Medical Guardian for my 90 year old uncle. When we signed up they were able to answer every question that we had and were very professional about it. They even offered us two months for free and the price felt reasonable. The medical device itself is fine. My uncle seems to be happy using the wrist band and he likes that he can wear the neck piece in the shower. We have the base located around the center of his place so it's easy for him to hear it whenever he does the checks and stuff. I feel like it's a good system. We've had a problem just this week though. We tried to call them since we needed help, but it took forever for us to get through to them. Their website has also been down since we started the program, so even if we tried to go through their website to look for solutions we wouldn't be able to do it.

Advertising is in appropriate. It shows someone with a necklace saying they have fallen and cannot get up into the necklace. But you do not tell them they will have to carry around the portable device

through no missuse or abuse on my part, have a cracked portable safety pendant. It does work, but company won't replace it unless I pay for it. There is a deffect by manufacturer and I feel it should be replaced with no cost to me since I did not break it.

My son got on the computer and researched quite a few different services. He found the one he wanted me to have, so we went with that. I have never had to use it, I've just called them for testing to see if everything works ok. I wear the necklace all the time, even when I'm in the shower. I like that I can take it anywhere with me, it's not just stuck in my house. It also doesn't take up a lot of room. At one point, the little stand where you put the button to charge quit working all of a sudden. In the end they had to send me another one but it got here within 2 days.

I researched a little bit and decided that I had to have something that could go with me wherever I went. I keep the button on me all the time and I try and remember to take the little unit with me when I'm out an about unless I'm with my family. The necklace bothers me, but I imagine all necklaces for things like this do that. What I didn't know was that anything large and metallic would interfere with it. I have a big metal garage door, so the button won't work in front of my house. I was disappointed by that. Another issue I've run into is with the fact that I have multiple homes. I have a beach house and I go to the mountains from time to time. Every time I do that, I have to go through and tell them exactly where the house is so they know where to find me if I call. It's a very difficult process to go through and I wish they had it all the information on file somewhere so it could be easier.

Unfortunately, environmental interference is a real issue for any cellular based unit, which would be true for any of our competitors as well, but overall our coverage from ATT should be strong in most locations.
