Every Medical Guardian medical alert system is identical in that they have a base station, a wearable emergency button, and provide two-way communication. Each system also has a backup battery that has a battery life of at least 24 hours. However, systems like the Mobile Guardian device operate on a cellular network that allows you to take the alert button and miniature base station anywhere.
Systems like the basic Classic Guardian operate on a landline connection and have an alert button that can be worn as a wristband or pendant. When the emergency button is activated, you're immediately put in contact with a representative at Medical Guardian's certified monitoring center. Here's a breakdown of each offered system:
This plan starts at $0.97 per day.
The Classic Guardian is the lowest priced package Medical Guardian offers. The medical alert system is meant to keep you safe in and around your home with a 1,300 range. The system connects to your landline phone and the medical alert device is a wearable waterproof button. The system includes a built-in speaker with two-way communication and power outage protection with a 32-hour backup battery.
This plan starts at $1.12 per day.
The Home Guardian is a wireless medical alert system that does not require a phone landline. The system works with a nationwide cellular network that gives you access to Medical Guardian's 24/7 monitoring center at any time. The system comes with a wearable medical alert button, which has a 600-foot range from the base station.
This plan starts at $2.58 per day.
The Family Guardian is meant to combine medical alert systems with activity monitoring. With three, in-home safety sensors, The Family Guardian keeps track of activity in the home each day. This is great for family members who want to check on their loved ones. The Family Guardian also comes with a mobile app that you can enable to send you instant notifications to your email or smartphone when one of the safety sensors detects a difference in your loved one's routine or when the help button is triggered. The Family Guardian includes a 1,300-foot range from the base station.
This plan starts at $1.61 per day.
The Mobile Guardian is a portable mobile medical alert system that functions on built-in GPS technology. This enables customers to use their medical alert devices outside of their home. This plan starts at $1.28 per day.

In addition to a variety of package offerings, Medical Guardian also has accessories you can add to your plan for a small fee. Prices for each product vary, but here is a list of the offered accessories:
Every Medical Guardian alert system offers fall detection except for the Mobile Guardian system. Fall detection pendants are equipped with a sensor that is triggered any time a fall occurs, which then immediately sends a signal to Medical Guardian's monitoring center informing them of the emergency.
Members may cancel their Medical Guardian services at any point without charge. As opposed to companies such as Life Alert, you won't be locked into any long-term contracts with the expectation of buying out. This allows customers to try out Medical Guardian to see if it is the right medical alert provider for them.
Medical Guardian offers a lifetime warranty on all its products. If for some reason the equipment is damaged or malfunctions, Medical Guardian will replace it free of charge. Having free equipment and a lifetime warranty on all products ensures money for equipment never has to come out of the customer's pocket.
100% of Medical Guardian's central station monitoring center operators are certified and committed to CSAA's five points of excellence. This can provide peace of mind to medical alert owners knowing they can rely on Medical Guardian's services. Medical Guardian is also UL Listed, FM approved, and ESA Security certified.
Service monitoring is 24/7, and Medical Guardian's fall detection can detect a fall without any action from the individual, so you don't need to worry about calling for help, as your device will do so on its own. Every system also offers two-way communication so in the case of an emergency, you can talk directly to Medical Guardian's monitoring center that is available 24/7.
Medical Guardian's home-based medical alert system has a 1,300-foot range. This is a much larger range than most medical alert providers out there who only offer closer to 600–1,000 feet of coverage from the base station. Medical Guardian's long range gives medical alert users more freedom in how far they can travel away from the base station while still having full coverage in case of a fall or another emergency.
Medical Guardian's medical alert devices have a 120-hour battery life, which is one of the longest in the industry. Many medical alert companies have medical alert systems that only have 24-hour battery lives and need to be charged every night, which can be a pain if you want to wear the medical alert device while you sleep. Having a longer battery life ensures you have more coverage with less difficutly.
Medical Guardian has customer service representatives waiting to assist you whether you have questions about ordering equipment or if you are experiencing difficulty operating the system. Members have the ability to order online or by calling in, and there is an online support team prepared to answer any questions.
Medical Guardian has a new high-tech medical alert device that is a smartwatch for seniors called The Freedom Guardian. This new medical alert watch is designed to be sleek and convenient to wear every day. The Freedom Guardian doesn't need a base unit to connect to, and you can wear it with you anywhere you go.
Caregivers or family members can download the Companion mobile app to communicate with Freedom Guardian wearers at any time as well as track their current location.
The Freedom Guardian has various features to aid your health and safety as well as additional perks. Here are a few of the Freedom Guardian features to be aware of:
**Free equipment offer does not include the Freedom Guardian system.
While Medical Guardian does offer some of the best equipment and services in the industry, there are still some aspects of their service that require additional attention prior to purchasing. Medical Guardian does not offer an emergency device combo package at this time. This means that consumers will not be able to group multiple items together to receive a discounted rate.

In emergencies, you don’t always have access to a phone. Having a medical alert system means you can request help at any time with the press of a button. Medical alert services also make sure emergency responders have the necessary information they need to best assist you—information you may be unable to provide in an emergency situation. Medical Guardian’s monitoring center will keep your information on file and give emergency responders the details they need, including your exact location, your preferred hospital, any medications you’re taking, medical conditions you may have, etc.
Also, if it’s a non-emergency situation, Medical Guardian’s monitoring center can contact your listed caregiver to assist you rather than emergency responders.
It's handy. I checked it and it worked perfect.
I've called twice and both times they answered my questions quickly. The only thing I don't like is I've had a hard time getting the necklace on.
I wear it all the time and feel very comfortable wearing it.
I had a false alarm and was impressed with the quickness of the response.
It gives me the feeling of having someone with me at all times. They have been very helpful they were so nice when I tested it. They told me to know they were here for me all the time.
The charge is supposed to last 5 days but it doesn't quite get there. Everything else is great. It accidentally went off twice when I was getting used to it. They were very prompt answering and very kind.
Works very well but I don't like that it's so big and clunky.
The first monitor was large and totally unacceptable to my wife she called and talked to someone who overnighted a smaller unit which she was pleased with. We are very satisfied. Thank you
I pushed the button a couple of times and the response was very quick. They were very nice on the phone about it. They're very quick and just very pleasant to talk to on the phone.
I like the speed that it device was sent out and the price.
I like the fact that it's lightweight when I'm wearing it around my neck. I tested it and it was fine.
I like everything about the device. It's convenient. I've tested it and everything went well.
I haven't had to use it but when I tested it, it worked pretty good. The people from Medical Guardian were good and caring. The only thing I would say about it is that they need to make it a little bit smaller.
It's easy and available for me. It's accessible. I tested it once and it worked perfectly well. We tested it once and we got a great response.
It won't stay together. The wristband falls off, the pendant falls off. I can't get either one to tay on before he's needed it. The customer service has a quick response. If it would be a good device, it would be a good system.

Hello Arnold, thank you for your review. We're going to send you a private message requesting your contact details and account-specific information so we can investigate your issue. Thank you!
It has two be charged every three days. It's awfully heavy hanging around your neck. I tested it once, we pushed the button and they called right away.
I've tested it and bumped it by accident once - it's available when I need it.
I wish it was a little bit thinner. I tested it and they answered immediately. They were very supportive. I think they answered some questions for me and they were very nice.
I tested it twice. I like it very much. The customer service is very good.
Tested it when we first got it and they answered right away.
Medical Guardian is a great company. Great customer service. I can't remember the girl's name but she was real real good. The whole process was easy. They helped us out to get everything set up.
It's slightly bulky. The customer service was very prompt.
It's easy to use. My son tested it when we first received it and it was very good.
It's easy to use so far. Easy to set up, easy to use. I tested it when I got it and it seemed to work okay.

Hello Paul, thank you for your review! Was there anything else that we could improve or did you have any issues? Please let us know. Thank you so much for choosing Medical Guardian.
When I tested it, they came out really quick so I was really impressed. They answered it when I tested it.
The only thing I dislike is the size. It's large to be lugging around your neck. That's the only bad thing. I haven't had to use it but last night I unintentionally let it drop a little ways and they called me which was very good.
The customer service was thorough and kind on the phone.
I like medical guardian just fine. I don't like that you have to carry around the GPS thing on the side and the fact that it runs down all the time but when I tested it, it worked.
I've tested it and the test was easy and went well.
With this particular model I can only have the thing that goes around my neck and it hang and hangs and I can't get a wristband. I think it is pretty functional. I don't have any problems with the device. All my questions I've had for customer service, haven't been answered to my satisfaction. I would like their customer service to be more proactive.
The wrist device could be improved, I had a problem with it but it is very comfortable to wear the necklace. Medical Guardian is reputable company.
I've already had to use it and it works the way I hoped it would and I got a very quick response.
I tried it out and it works fine. It gives me security because they check in with me.
I love that you can wear it in the shower and when I've tested, it's worked great. They were concerned and just really good. The only thing I dislike is it is too heavy.
Responsive when I called customer support. They knew me and it was fine. I like that I can wear it in the shower but I don't like that is so big and doesn't look like jewelry or something more attractive.
Test was fine once we got a good charger. When we called them, they immediately sent everything.
A little bit annoying getting used too it being around my neck but otherwise it is comfortable. As far as I know it is working right.
I think it is a little too expensive but I needed it because I live alone and I am a senior citizen. Everything is doing great though I wish it was clipped to my back pocket instead of hanging around my neck. Once I was cleaning the kitchen and hit it by mistake and the response was fine.
It is for my mother who is ninety two and I feel safe because she lives alone. She barely hit it and they contacted me immediately.
I feel a lot more secure with it, I feel able to move around because I know I've got the necklace and bracelet and I can go outside. It was fine when I tested it. They answered right away.
I like that you can wear it around the neck or the wrist and I like that the signal has good strength as far as distance. The only thing is that there has been an issue with the one around the neck. Customer service answers our questions very clearly every time we call. Even though my mother can be difficult to understand, they are patient.
Attractive and it is easy to use when I tested it.
Customer support was responsive and answered our questions. Everything is fine and easy to use.
My children feel better now that I have medical guardian and I feel safer with it. It is very reliable, I tested it right after I received it. The customer service people are very nice.
Peace of mind and when I needed the response was very good. The response was professional, calm, and very quick.
I feel very confident that I have something that is going to protect me since I am all alone in the house and outside.
Heavy... but when I've tested it, I've gotten a good response from the company.
The company has nice products as far as I can tell. The only thing it when I am leaning over the sink or something like that, it will accidentally go off and there is no undo button.
It allows me to do dialysis at home by myself so I don't have to have somebody with me. I tested and it worked fine, they answered me right away and answered my questions. I would recommend it to somebody that needed a good company.
Very happy. It belongs to my mother and it makes me feel more comfortable knowing that she has something as simple as a button to push for help. She has tested it and it went well. The only thing was I had a difficulty getting the price set up in the beginning.
