While Medical Guardian does offer some of the best equipment and services in the industry, there are still some aspects of their service that require additional attention prior to purchasing.

  • Initial Service Agreement: While there is no contract with Medical Guardian, there is a minimum three-month (90-day) service agreement. Medical Guardian asks that consumers try their service for at least three months before canceling. If a consumer decides they do not want to wait three months to cancel, consumers may do so. However, Medical Guardian will keep the 90-day minimum charge and consumers will then receive money back for any remaining portion of the service charges they did not use. This is not ideal for those who want to test Medical Guardian for one month, but cancellation is still possible.
  • No Combo Package: Medical Guardian does not offer a combo package at this time. This means that consumers will not be able to group multiple items together to receive a discounted rate.

The Bottom Line

Medical Guardian has proved to be an industry leader with their emergency support, quality products, and affordable service. How much does Medical Guardian Cost?

Medical Guardian has four products that vary in price. Here is a price breakdown of each product:

  • Classic Guardian: $29.95/month
  • Home Guardian: $34.95/month
  • Mobile Guardian: $39.95/month
  • Premium Guardian: $49.95/month

Is there a contract?

There are no long-term contracts for any of the products. However, part of the customer agreement states that there is a minimum three-month service agreement for each product. The equipment remains the property of Medical Guardian. The monthly charge begins the day the customer receives the device. After the three-month period has expired, the contract will be automatically renewed unless either the customer or the company elects to terminate it. Customers who cancel after the three months are entitled to refund of any unused prepayments, provide the equipment is still in working order. If customers do not return the equipment, they are subject to a charge for it. The benefit of not owning the equipment is being able to have the newest gear available without having to pay a bunch for it.

    The system arrived in a timely manner. It was easy to set up. My mom has tested the system and within less than 30 seconds received a call.
    She says the “watch” is light and she no longer even notices it being on her wrist.

    Product is good. Some of the responders do not speak clearly and it sounds scratchy. Please make sure all responders speak slowly and clearly for the hard of fearing clients. Charging the unit is easy. I had trouble with delivery because I was promised 2 day delivery and it was not communicated to fed ex. I finally got it in a week.

    When our equipment arrived and I tried to get everything properly connected (steps 2 and 3), I did not receive clear guidelines from the technical adviser on the phone. I was transferred to a 2nd more senior person who contradicted the instructions of the 1st contact. I may have incorrectly connected the wires from the phone jack but the techies should have been able to figure that out! Finally, tech #2 decided that the console was defective (there was constant static on the console) and organized sending me a replacement at no charge. When it arrived, I got yet another technical person who very carefully told me exactly what to do with the wiring and the system worked fine. I subsequently had some additional questions that I listed online. The person who replied answered my 3 queries clearly and succinctly, and most important, correctly. Now everything (finally!) is working well and I think I understand what I’m doing. All this seemed unnecessarily complicated for a simple hook up.

    I first saw a TV ad and decided to call the number they had for Medical Guardian. I purchased it for myself because I have been sick for 6 months and have not been able to get better. The diagnosis was not good and I was constantly going to the doctor. I just needed something near me just in case I needed somebody to help me if I needed help right away. I feel happy with it and feel very safe while I am driving or by myself. I feel like there is somebody always there to help me if I need it right away. The sales team was very nice. I have recommended Medical Guardian several times to other people. Medical Guardian is so easy to use. I just followed the instructions and had it set up in a matter of minutes.
