Since 1977, LifeStation has been offering medical alert devices and medical monitoring services designed by medical alert industry veterans to help seniors live independently. LifeStation makes getting emergency assistance easier for seniors who want to live in the comfort of their own home at an affordable cost. LifeStation looks after the health and well-being of older adults, giving them, as well as their family members, peace of mind knowing they will be protected with LifeStation's emergency services and medical monitoring.
Additional highlights of the company include low monthly monitoring fees ($19.95–34.95), no equipment fees, no activation fees, no contract length, and a lifetime warranty on LifeStation equipment. The medical alert company has high ratings and exceptional service, which is evidenced by a number of positive Life Station reviews below.
LifeStation has lower prices on medical alert systems than most other leading competitor medical alert companies. On top of that, there are no long-term contracts that rope customers into service for a specified period of time. With LifeStation, customers can cancel at any time without having to pay a cancellation fee. Both of these points make LifeStation a very wise financial choice.
LifeStation offers a variety of plans to ensure there is a choice that fits every consumer, regardless of their specific lifestyle. Whether you are regularly on the go or typically remain at your home, LifeStation has a plan to fit everyone's needs. You can also choose between monthly, quarterly, or annual billing services. Plan details for LifeStation's three main packages are below:
This package is best for customers who most often remain at home but still want to remain independent and safe in the case of an emergency.
This plan is best for consumers looking for protection in their home and around their yard, as this plan has a larger range from the base station to ensure protection in the yard as well as in your home.
This package is best for consumers looking to be more active with their medical alert system and who plan to leave their homes quite often. This medical alert device is made specifically for on-the-go.
LifeStation’s Mobile LTE boasts the most advanced suite of capabilities to date in a medical alert system. Leveraging AT&T’s 4G LTE network, the nation’s fastest and most reliable system, it takes advantage of LifeStation’s award-winning monitoring center, allowing seniors to get help quickly and confidently, anywhere in the country
LifeStation's medical alert systems are covered under a lifetime warranty. Their in-home system consists of a pendant or wristband with an emergency alert device button and a base station that is connected to their monitoring station. The base unit and emergency button work within 1,000 feet of each other. When you press the button, a Care Specialist is notified that you are having an emergency.
The base station features an enhanced speaker and voice capabilities that gives users two-way communication with a Care Specialist even if they have fallen down. For those without a traditional landline, LifeStation offers products for alternative phone service and mobile devices for seniors with active lifestyles. Read LifeStation reviews below to read about customers' experiences with different types of LifeStation alert systems.
LifeStation's monitoring station exceeds both national and industry standards for training and response time. It is a UL-listed and 5 Diamond Certified medical monitoring center with a strict training protocol for its personnel, starting with six weeks of formal classroom training and mandatory exams at the end of every module.
Once this training for the response center personnel is successfully completed, there is field training guided by TMA certified instructors. All new personnel receives weekly performance reviews for three months. This ensures a high standard of customer service and a quick response time.
The average LifeStation response time is 20 seconds. The company encourages its customers to do a monthly system test so they can see how quickly LifeStation responds to alerts. LifeStation systems also have check-in capabilities that allow the company to check your system each week to ensure it is communicating with the monitoring center.
A LifeStation medical alert device also offers caregivers the option for an alert messaging service that sends automatic email notifications in the event their loved one has an emergency. It also performs a silent weekly test of the loved one's system and notifies them if the system has any issues.
LifeStation features a 30-day money-back guarantee for any customer on any payment plan. This includes customers that still pay month-to-month. This can give customers peace of mind that they can test out LifeStation and get their money back if the medical alert service doesn't work for them. LifeStation is essentially risk-free, and anyone can try the service without committing to any fees or contracts.
LifeStation's mobile medical alert system has an impressive battery life of up to five days, which is an upgrade from the previous 36 hours. This is considered impressively long, especially compared to other medical alert companies. Having a lengthy alarm battery life ensures the medical alert owner does not have to worry about charging the system every day and has the ability to go days without having to worry about doing so. LifeStation also replaces medical alert batteries for free so customers do not have to worry that this cost would be out of their pocket.
In the case of a power outage, LifeStation's system also has a backup battery that lasts for up to 32 hours. When your power turns back on, the battery will begin to self-charge.
All of LifeStation's medical alert buttons are waterproof. This means you don't have to worry about taking off the alert device when showering, taking a bath, or during other activities that involve water. This is especially convenient since wet areas are the most fall-prone areas, so it is a major plus that you'll still have protection in these instances.
For a limited time, LifeStation has created a "Find My Loved One" feature to go with all mobile GPS device packages. This feature allows anyone on the emergency contact list of the medical alert owner to text "Find + [medical alert owner's name]." The contact will then receive a text message with a link to the address of the loved one's location on a map.
Whether it's used as an extra safety precaution or a way to find a medical alert device if lost, this feature adds additional peace of mind and added security for medical alert owners and their loved ones. With a simple text, they can check up on their loved ones and their whereabouts at any time.
If you have a spouse or another person in your home who also wants medical alert monitoring, LifeStation will provide the monitoring services completely free. The only cost the second medical alert user is responsible for is an extra help button, which is $3.99 per month.
LifeStation consumer reviews are overwhelmingly positive, highlighting exceptional LifeStation customer service, affordable pricing, quick response times, and quality equipment. LifeStation complaints are minimal, demonstrating a positive customer experience and awarding LifeStation a high star rating. Knowing LifeStation has reliable service and highly trained professionals can give consumers peace of mind that their loved one using the medical alert device will be taken care of.
LifeStation has a 1,000-foot range from the base station for its medical alert devices. Many medical alert providers have lower ranges closer to 600 ft. A larger range gives consumers more flexibility in how far they can travel from the medical alert device base station and ensures more protection in the case of a fall or another emergency.
One way LifeStation's alert service falls short of its competitors, who offer spouse coverage at no additional charge, is by charging an additional fee of $3.99 per month for every extra alert button. Also at an extra cost is a LockBox, a bathroom and hallway alert button, and automatic fall detection, which some companies offer for free or include in the subscription fee. However, the fee is minimal and won't raise your monthly payment by a significant amount. Check out LifeStaton reviews below to see if this has proved to be a problem to past customers.

They have good people answering the phones. They helped my Mom twice. Without it she would not have received the aid she needed for hours.
I called to change my payment date it was changed to the 20 but payment was taking out 2 days before which caused me an overdraft fee.
It responds immediately, when I have set off by accident...Thank God, I have not needed it for an incident.
Sometimes when I call to do a test, it seems to take longer each time. Next time I'll have to time it.

Did a Great job and Saved my mom. Very friendly Prifessional and Very Caring too!
Always prompt and friendly. They do a great job and are always there when we need them.
My mom had to use her life station and at work like a champ
QUICK RESPONSE TIME AND GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have been impressed by the people I have interacted with—customer service and those who responded to my monthly tests of the system. The only negative I have encountered up to this point is the charger. It seems to take an unreasonable amount of adjustment and jiggling to get the unit seated so that it will charge properly.
This company is horrible. Machine let off loud piercing noise they would not fix it. Spend hours trying to get problem fixed. Sent machine back. They would not reimburse me annual fee $323.28 then charged an additional 40.
Very good. Agents are not always trained fully for procedures.
Initially had difficulty getting a machine that worked. Finally, the third machine worked properly. Service was good after that. Quick answering when falls occurred.
Fine, accept we had called due to a flashing error and they advised that they were sending a new battery in 3-5 days and it has been 10
Great response! I got the life station for my mom and also for my mother in law in hopes never to need it but was so glad I did! I was out and not to far from home when I received a call from the life station response team and before I could get home there was an ambulance there and a police officer to assist my mother in law from a fall! Can not say enough good things about this company!
I Fallen a couple of times and they've immediately called me to see if I'm okay
All I've had to do is test. I don't think it can hear me as far away as advertised,.
very happy with it. it's comforting to know that help is on the way when i need it
Good unit and pleasant people to talk to.

I once sat on it and you were right there. Otherwise thank goodness I haven't had to use it.

My mother is resistant to wearing the watch, which is a brilliant, useful, fashionable device. I am frustrated with my parent.
This is Vern's son Gary. I pay for this service for my parents and have General POA to handle any and all business for them. I'm very happy with your product. Only reason for a 4 star score at the top of this survey is because I want them to be able to talk to the unit around their neck instead of the main unit out by the phone. I've already spoken with your company about this feature now being avail. I should be able to afford the upgrade after the new year.

Life Station is helpful in getting emergency help. But after that they drop the ball. It would be nice to know if a person is picked up and taken to the hospital where they went. I received a call about my husband but after the notification. Life Station did not know where he may have gone. I was not at home and it was alarming
My mother and mother in love both use LifeStation. My husband and I have been completely satisfied with the response time when our mothers have activated their alarms. The customer service is outstanding! I have recommended LifeStation to friends who are looking for a service for their parents.

Excellent company to work with. Everyone has been awesome.
I haven't had to use LifeStation yet, but when checking in every month, the people answering my call are very friendly and efficient. The machine is very simple to use. I'm very pleased I have LifeStation.
I could not get Frances to use it and therefore returned it. She doesn't have any kind of unit at this time.
Enjoy the safety of having your equipment nearly at arms length away.
So far I have not had to use the Life Station at all. Thank God! I do know it is there if I should need it. Kind of like a security blanket.

They are always there when I call to Check in. Very courteous
I wanted GPS so it would be available at all times. Satisfied in general except one night when I went to charge it (as I was going to bed) I noticed it was dead (no lights blinking). When I pressed the button nothing. This shouldn't happen. Only happened once, but what if I had had an emergency and didn't realize it was out of charge? Check frequently for the blinking light.
The customer care is exceptional, my Mom checks in every month and the people are wonderful. She hasn't needed to use your service for an emergency, thankfully, but I'm confident if she does she will get help quickly.
Mercifully, I have not had to use the product for an emergency but I do monthly checks of the system and my calls are always responded to promptly and courteously.
I do not care for the new wrist band much. I have a small wrist and when the band comes off the only way I can put it back on and tightening it is using my teeth plus the Velcro snags and/or keeps covering the blue button. Believe the $25.95/month is rather high. Customer service is helpful and pleasant and informs me when I should receive my new item. I never knew there was a guarantee/warranty involved.
Although my mother never had to use the product in an emergency (thank the Lord) it was a nice "just in case" item she relied on and so did we.
Good price. Excellent customer service. Product worked as is should. Recommend to others.
Thankfully have not had to use it, a couple of times my husband hit the button accidentally, so we know it still works. However he forgets to put back on after he takes it off, so not sure what good it is for him, but that's his fault.
Satisfaction is satisfactory. Have not had to use the service for which I am grateful. Not real sure how efficient it will be. Hope it will be OK. I check it 1st of each month. Had 1 false alarm.

I was very happy to have Life Station on my person at all times. It gave me a nice feeling of safety in case I fell or needed medical help. It works very well and the operator answered my test calls in a very short time.
Purchased this for my 95 year old mother who lived alone. Scheduled tests of the system with email to me that all was good was helpful in monitoring her getting assistance if needed. However, I paid extra every month for the Fall notification. When needed it did not work and she lay on the floor for a long time until she could get herself to her cell phone and call a neighbor. She wore the pendent outside her clothing as directed by company. She fell without notice and did not try to stop her fall. LifeStation stated that trying to stop her fall would not set off the alarm. Not doing these were given by the company as reasons for the pendent not registering the fall. In addition, the customer service representatives gave other excuses for why the pendent would not work. If there are so many reason why it won't work, they why sell it and charge me extra. I would not use this company again, nor recommend it.
Like how they do a check of the equipment often by making a call to my mom. She didn't quite understand that she had the "fall" sensor, but when she tossed the device on her bed, they called her to see if she was ok. Yay!...she finally realized that she should be actually wearing it!
They respond quickly. Although I have never required their services, there was a time when I was out walking the dog and set off the system accidentally and wasn't near the phone. The ambulance arrived just as I was getting back in the house.
My mother in law has used it a few times. Always quick to get help and to alert us. Cannot thank u enough for your service. There is no way she could be home alone without life station. Thank you!
My aunt has had to utilize the service at least 6 times in the past two years. Each time I was notified and emergency services were already on site when I got to her home.
I would willing give five stars for their service. But the problem I find is with the machine. If I'm at the far end of my house which isn't too big I can't hear them or they hear me. We do hear but it is not audible, so we guess what each one is saying. In any case it is very comforting to know someone is there watching out and will come to your rescue.
Excellent service. We installed the system in my 92 year-old father's home as he lives alone. Fortunately, he has not needed to alert them for anything other than monthly tests. He has successfully tested it from different areas of his house. Recently, an electrician was making a repair at his home which required the power to be off and on for a period of time. LifeStation detected this and contacted me immediately to alert me to a possible issue with the system. Nothing was wrong but we appreciated the contact!
It is for for my mother who is 92. she likes it very much. Price is very reasonable.
I've had occasion to use LifeStation twice. The person who answered my distress call was helpful, efficient and courteous.
Thankfully, we have only had to use LifeStation once, and it was very effective. Our local paramedics came immediately.
The service is timely, kind and helpful. Each customer service representative has been wonderful to work with.
I haven't had an emergency yet so I can't attest to how well they respond. When testing I do not like to have to wait through 5 or 6 times before someone answers to find out if I'm okay. I hope they could be a little faster. That's my biggest concern. Will they answer on time?
