LAST UPDATED: May 12th, 2021

Everytable is a Los Angeles-based company that serves healthy meals at fast-food prices.

In 2013, former hedge fund trader Sam Polk founded Feast, a nonprofit aimed at addressing health problems related to food in South Los Angeles. Feast participants told Polk that because they were juggling jobs and other responsibilities, they often turned to fast food instead of healthier food options. Polk created a model for a company that would sell nutritious food at fast food prices, and Everytable was born.

Some of Everytable’s products include hot plates, salads, wraps, desserts, cold-pressed juices, wellness shots, snacks, essentials, and coffee. Everytable provides a la carte meals, catering, and subscriptions for individuals and workplaces. Some of its corporate partners include Kaiser Permanente, BuzzFeed, and Dollar Shave Club.

The Good

  • Flexible Subscriptions
  • No Cooking Required
  • Low Prices
  • Workplace Options

Flexible Subscriptions

Everytable customers have the option of ordering meals as needed, or setting up a weekly subscription. Customers can choose whichever menu items they want to receive weekly, and they can edit their order from week to week.

No Cooking Required

While many meal delivery services require some level of preparation, Everytable meals are ready to eat, or require only minimal reheating. This makes them much more quick and convenient than those from other meal delivery services.

Low Prices

While the exact price for Everytable varies depending on the neighborhood where it’s located — Everytable locations in wealthier neighborhoods charge more than they do in less affluent areas — the price for an Everytable meal starts at $5.

This is significantly lower than that of many other delivery services, which often charge $7 to $10 per serving.

Workplace Options

Everytable offers plans specifically tailored to workplaces, including daily or weekly delivery, 24/7 vending machines, and on-site Everytable markets.

The Bad

  • Limited Geographic Availability

Limited Geographic Availability

Everytable serves only Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire, so only those who live near Los Angeles are able to take advantage of the company’s services.

The Bottom Line

Everytable serves high-quality, healthy food for the price of fast food meals from its Los Angeles-based kitchen.

Its meals are sold either ready to eat, or requiring only minimal reheating. On the other hand, many competitors’ meals require at least some cooking, if not also chopping and additional preparation. This makes Everytable meals relatively fast and convenient.

And while many meal delivery services only sell meals through subscriptions, Everytable meals are available on a one-off basis as well. This adds flexibility that other services don’t offer.

Furthermore, a serving of Everytable is significantly less expensive than a single serving from most other meal delivery companies. Everytable’s pricing varies by geographic area, with locations in more affluent neighborhoods charging more than in others, but generally starts at $5. Other companies charge more in the range of $7 to $10 per serving.

Everytable also provides options for workplaces, whether they’re looking for daily or weekly delivery, a vending machine that sells meals 24/7, or an on-site Everytable market.

One downside to Everytable is that it only serves Los Angeles County, Orange County, and the Inland Empire. Those who are located outside of Southern California will have to explore other options.

But for local customers looking for healthy food at a great price and without committing to a long-term subscription, Everytable is a great option.
