I saw information on Best Egg and went to their site to see what they were about. I thought I knew 100% that I would not qualify for a loan… but I did!! I did it over the weekend and the money was in my account very beginning of the following week. No hassle.. no stress. I am VERY satisfied!

My husband applied for a small personal loan, we found another loan company with a MUCH BETTER OFFER so we accepted the better rate loan. NEVER accepted the Best Egg loan however they still deducted the monthly payment from our bands account. Best Egg then continued to argue with us that we received the loan funds…..finally 10 days later they did refund our money!! Horrible customer service. Stay away!

Getting started with Freedom Plus was easy. I got started with Freedom Financial and started on the process to pay off several credit cards. After a year of regular payments--also easy because I made autopayments--my entire "portfolio" was restructured under Consolidation Plus. Then, after another couple of years, it was restructured again under FreedomPlus--this time at a much lower interest rate. All of the work was handled online and over the phone and was done in a matter of minutes--not hours or days.

Largely unresponsive to email. Also, they can't seem to get both of my loans in the same dashboard. The big concern, though, was I called to move a payment (automatically deducted from my checking account) by a couple of days, which they were happy to do, but after the original payment date passed I received a number of emails about the loan being past due! The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. When I finally talked to customer support about this it was clear that they don't handle this situation properly. I BETTER not end up with anything on my credit report.

Overall, Best Egg and FreedomPlus offer very similar personal loans services with both thriving in customer service, ease, and transparency. Both companies are great options for those looking to get approved for a personal loan; however, there are a few small differences that may sway your opinion to do service with one company over the other. Here are the main differences between Best Egg and FreedomPlus:
For those who don't have impeccable credit, FreedomPlus and Best Egg are both great options. Comparatively, these two companies have some of the most competitive credit score limits in the industry.
FreedomPlus has a credit score minimum of 620 whereas Best Egg requires a 640. These two minimums are close, but ultimately FreedomPlus is the better option if your credit is below a 640.
Some personal loan companies will penalize borrowers for trying to pay off their loan early — an obvious frustration for those who have the money and the drive to get ahead of their payments.
FreedomPlus and Best Egg do not charge prepayemnt fees; however, Best Egg has a great benefit for those who do want to pay off their loan early.
Borrowers at Best Egg can receive a reduced rate if they make a consistent effort to pay off their loans early. This is a huge benefit to those who are aggressively trying to pay off their debt.
It should be noted that FreedomPlus gives the option to lock in interest rates, helping borrowers to not get tripped up in bigger interest rates down the road.
You won't find many complaints against Best Egg or Freedom Plus because customer reviews are extremely positive for both. Thousands of customer reviews give these companies 5/5 stars. Here on Best Company, we pulled the thousands of customer reviews to give you a rating break down for both companies:
Clearly, these reviews reveal that the majority of customers felt pleased with their interatctions between both Best Egg and FreedomPlus.
FreedomPlus does allow you to cosign with someone when you apply for a loan. This is a great benefit to you, the borrower, because you will most likely be offered slightly lower interest rates or other money saving benefits. These type of benefits are common because lenders see cosigning as a form of security. Putting two people under the shared responsibility of the loan repayment adds more security compared to a single borrower taking all the responsibility for the loan.
Best Egg does not allow cosigners for its personal loans, but it does allow you to make payments based on your household income instead of just individual income.
FreedomPlus is able to offer loans in 35 states whereas Best Egg services 47 states and the D.C. area.
