Well here I am reading some of these comments and I am a bit flabbergasted. I am rebuilding my credit with which I am very careful and received an offer from OneMain Financial. I started the application several times but never finished it off because I read where it was stated there would be a hard credit inquiry. Finally I decided to just go ahead, see where this goes. I submitted my application and within seconds received a phone call from the local office here in Cutler Bay. I was informed of the amount I would receive and whether I could come in that day for an appointment. I was requested several documents to submit in advance which I did. I received another phone call prior my appointment and was informed my amount had increased. My car which I owed less than $2,000 would be paid off by OneMain and used as collateral. Ok no problem here. I went to my appointment and was well received by a very lovely office and employees. The individual with whom I had the appointment gestured to me and informed that she would be with me shortly. Lovely environment; lovely office personnel. I was then called in and from then, the process took me less than half an hour. Items were discussed page by page. I left with a check in hand. All in all I am very, very pleased with the services of OneMain Financial. The individual who assisted me from start to finish LAKIRA A. A lovely young lady. I see nothing hidden. All I see is a contract which was signed.A signed contract, four corners. My process from start to finish at the office took less than 1/2 an hour. I will recommend OneMain. I am pleased with their service.

Our visit to One Main for a loan application was very pleasant. The process went rather quick, every detail was explained, the people there are very friendly and knowledgeable and understand your needs. Thorough process of explaining every detail and options. OK, I'm a big coffee drinker and the first thing I noticed was the free coffee machine and being waved a hello from a gentleman in the back.
We have been doing business with One Main (bill consolidation) for a while now and find them to be highly competent, reliable, and fair. We highly recommend them as their staff is very knowledgeable and will go through your financial problems with understanding and willingness to help.

Have to say One main has been there for me for almost 7 years and has been out standing and understanding with helping me fight threw my cancer never ask for forgiveness until now cause I was out of work for 2 years and still made my monthly payment on time until these last few months were I fell behind and one main picked me back up to help me and my family. Just wish there was just a little more to get me establish again and promise to fulfil my obligation to one main.. A substantial loan will help me payoff everything and be less stress due to had having cancer which I lost 2 years of battling and praying that a decent loan will get me back on top.. 7 year loan I made on time payments just need another loan that can secure my debt and be happy that a few thousand will help me get my life and my family's life back on track. But I'm grateful for the help that was provided .. I no with a 5000 dollar loan will help almost bring tears to my eyes cause I been working for my company 16 years. Just these few months with being out of work set me back if not my loans would have been paid off. I just need the support and trust that I know I can payback any loan that would be given to me I proved it with my car loan 72 months and coming down to just 6 months my cancer has set me back but in fighting hard every day to prove I'm worthy of a respected loan form one main if there can help me out would be Great with the holidays approaching I nice loan to set me free and pay you guys faithful just need a chance to prove my worth and will not let you down. This company rocks! I went to them to get a small unsecured loan to help re-build my credit after 2 disastrous divorces. They not only gave me the loan but told me they could get me $3000 more than I needed. During the course of the loan period, I would get occasional letters stating that I was qualified for another loan at a higher cash amount. When the first loan was almost paid off, I found a fantastic deal on my first Harley. I went to the office and asked them for the amount needed, they told me they could get me much more and that they would pay off several credit card balances and I would still have the money for the motorcycle! These people rock!

I never would have imagined how easy, fast and friendly the staff were in getting us the funds we needed, we were in need of a debt consolidation loan, as our credit card usage was quite high due to my spouse having to make several trips from 4 hrs to get back surgeon for several procedures done before finally having to have back surgery. With gas, motel, food, etc it got very expensive. But, within an hour or so of getting the necessary paper work faxed to One Main Financial, we were approved. We called to set up the appt to sign the paperwork and receive our money was beyond expectation. I will definitely refer friends and family to One Main Financial, when they are in need of a loan. Great customer service.

I use One Main in Athens. Alabama. They have helped me with two loans. I have found them very good to work with. I build a privacy fence and now I have a loan for help with a budgeting issue. I called and Linda listened to my needs and helped me find a solution to help me and budget friendly. I love the online bill pay and to look at my account. The flexibility and ability to borrow money on my own after a divorce has been made easier with One Main. Gives me a great opportunity for my credit strength and borrowing money without a cosigner. The only negative, the interest rate is a little higher .

I never thought getting a personal loan could be so quick and easy! As long as you have your most recent paycheck stubs, ID and social security card, you're able to get a personal loan the same day! I spent only a total of maybe 30-45 minutes in One Main Financial and received a check right away and they were closing in less than an hour when I walked in! I thought I wouldn't be able to get the check/funds until a few business days passed! I was so impressed with their quick service. Not just that but the interest rate isn't bad when you think about how fast you were able to get the loan. This of course, probably varies with credit reports and scores. I would recommend One Main Financial to my family members and strangers looking for funds. As long as you make your payments on time, I'm pretty sure you'll have no issues. I'm definitely going to be a repeat customer if I ever have to borrower funds from a financial institution again. Way to quick and easy!

In life, there may come times when we can find ourselves constantly struggling to either get ahead, or just to keep up with our financial responsibilities. Taking on additional jobs is sometimes impossible, and reaching out to family members or friends, does not answer the issues we face. And as we all know....the longer you fend off bills and the bill collectors that can follow, the worse it all seems to get. Or it may be that you just want to consolidate all your bills, to simplify and lessen your monthly pay out. This is the situation that I was in. I was rebuilding my credit at the same time, and so my credit score was not the best. I thought it impossible that anyone would agree to approve me a $5,000 loan. I couldn't have been more wrong. I remember receiving an advertisement back some weeks before. I had not thrown it out, but kept it, while I worked up the courage to call and find out if they had the right person for this offer. Finally one friday after 3, when the week had taken it's toll, I decided to call and at least get some information. I was so happy that I made that call. Within maybe 10-15 minutes of simple conversation and the answering of a few questions, I was thrilled to hear the service representative tell me I was approved for more than I asked for. Many times when we seek a loan, we always undercut the true amount we need, in the hopes that the smaller amount will somehow get approved. With OneMain, not only did the smaller amount get approved, but the real amount I needed was covered. In conclusion, If I had one sentence to tell anyone in a financial strain what to do to get out of that predicament, I would say, Regardless of what your credit score is, call OneMain for they have answers and solutions to remedy your fear and your on hand finances.

I wanted to refinance my car. We went through the process and come to find out I had stuff on my credit that was not mine so I couldn’t refinance. The person I talked to was very kind and explained everything in detail so I would know how to take care of the bad credit that was not mine. She told me once I get it off to call her and she will get it taken care of. Very amazing!!!

One Main was an awesome surprise! We wanted to consolidate some of our bills but we already had a bank loan and needed a larger loan than companies supply here. We thought! Then we received an add in the mail from One Main Financial and talked about it....and then called!!! Best decision we made! Got financed for more than we thought PLUS it's convenient pay just auto drafted out of our checking account!! Paid off accounts & had some extra to put into savings!!! A win win situation!!!!

I have had nothing but excellent service from One Main Financial. I have had loans for Christmas, vacation, granddaughter' s wedding, to help daughter payoff an old car and get a new one. I keep going back to One Main because the 1st loan helped build my credit and I bought a house I thought I would never be able to get, as a single mother of 3. My credit has gone through the roof, thanks to One Main, and it's been very affordable, so I praise this company with bells and whistles and banners.

Recently borrowed against our motor home for funds to use as a down payment for a mobile home. Applied online and was called the following day with info and later that day with approval. Very few documents needed and staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. This was our second time getting a loan with them and both times a good experience. No pre payment penalties so loan can be paid off sooner. Just a very good experience!

I called OneMain about a loan to consolidate my bills and was told I could come in the same day and sign the papers and pick up my check. While I was there, I decided I needed more than I had asked for and it was approved within minutes. The representative that helped me was professional, kind and easy to work with. She was very thorough and explained everything to me to my satisfaction. I borrowed, what I believe to be, a large sum and my monthly payments are manageable. I will definitely go back to OneMain in the future if I ever need another loan.

My friend told me about this loan company, he said it was easy and he was able to get the amount he needed. So I called put my application over the phone by the end of the day i was approved and I had my check the very next day. I didnt have to use my car as collateral. I found OneMain Financial to be a very easy, proficient process. The availability to fill the application out on line allows for flexibility needed. Within less than one hour after filling out the application, I was instructed to contact OneMain via phone as the customer representative had a few more questions to ask me and completed my application process. Then within an hour I was contacted and informed my loan was approved and to come into the office to fill out the paperwork. I went in after work and filled out the paperwork and left with my loan check.

The staff at OneMain Financial in Pikeville, Ky. were very informative. The receptionist who answered the phone was very polite and I did not have to wait to talk to my loan offier. The loan officer was very knowledgeable in the loan products. He fully explained the loan documents needed and explained my payments and other aspects of the loan very clearly. I really like the crew at OneMain Finanacial in Prestonsburg.

I am very satisfied with my loan through One Main Financial, this is my third loan with them. The employees are very friendly, efficient, and quick! I was able to consolidate my credit card debt to a lower monthly payment, and still have an end in site for paying the loan off! Plus, I can always pay more down to get it paid off sooner with just a simple phone call!

I recently applied and received a loan. I was told at the time that I was able to get an addition if needed. Since I didn't take the full amount at the time. I was told just call ANYTIME if you decide you need more. Well 2 weeks later I did just that. As I had encountered a vehicle maintenance emergency. I called and it took a few days for the assistant to get back to me to say I was approved and that I could go in to pick up the check. So I call 3 days later (because it was the weekend and they were closed, and my work schedule didn't sync with there office hours) and they tell me that One Main policy has changed and I was now NOT approved. Now after 2 weeks all of a sudden the policy has changed. If your associates are trained why would they not have known that the first time I came in, why would they announce call us ANYTIME if they knew that was not true.
I am greatly appreciative for the approval of my existing loan. On the other hand definitely frustrated and upset. After being a long time customer and a recurring customer I felt a betrayed and lied to. Knowing that I was told one day that I was approved and then 3 days later I am not. Of course I am bound by contract obligations to fulfill my payments but am just so frustrated that I was relying on that to fix my transportation and mad appointment arrangements and now I am unable to because some kind of mistake on someone's part. All I got was oh sorry try again in a couple months. How does that solve my situation right now?

Borrowing money should not be easy, it is a big deal but sometimes necessary because of past money mismanagement or unexpected emergencies. The result for us was a high rate car loan and credit card we had carried for several years. Then we went to visit with the great folks at One Main. Their expertise made it possible to pay off the high rate loans, bring down the payments and interest rate to something so much affordable. They will always be at the top of our list!.

I have to say my experience with OneMain obviously has been completely different than that of the other reviewers.
But first, let me clarify that the interest rate is, indeed, high. However, I knew that upfront and based on my situation, it is what I expected.
On the other hand, I have worked with this company for many years, before they were "OneMain." They have helped me through some very difficult situations over the years. I ruined my credit back in college, and OneMain was there for me when nobody else even would consider lending me money.
Having the loan, keeping it in good standing, and having renewed my loan a couple times over the years actually has helped me rebuild my credit and raise my credit score. If you need to borrow more money, the original loan is paid off, which reflects positively on your credit report.
Finally, and most surprising to me, are the claims of poor customer service. Again, things must be different in my home state and city, as I never have experienced anything but stellar customer service. I always have been treated with respect, the crew knows my name, the process always has been smooth and clearly explained and I never was asked for money up front.
Again, the interest rate is high, but I still would recommend OneMain to family and friends (having given them the interest information up front.)
