PracticePanther is a cloud-based, legal management software geared towards helping lawyers increase their productivity. The company’s co-founders are lawyers who found a need for a software that would organize information, billing, calendars, client conversations and all other elements of the business side of a law practice. The software is easy to navigate and straightforward.
PracticePanther is constantly looking for ways to improve, so this does mean frequent updates, but also growing capabilities and functionality. This is a global company with customers all over the world and account managers who are attentive to customer needs.
The website design is very intuitive and user friendly. Customers state that they save a lot of time because of the layout and ease of access.
While the program is robust and easy to navigate, it also has a variety of integrations available like Dropbox, Zapier, MailChimp, Quickbooks, and Box.com. This is invaluable for customers who have already established portions of their business processes on external software and makes continuity possible.
With the company’s Business Plan (the highest tier at $79 per month) customers receive free data migration from old systems used. As this is the most time consuming element of switching to another provider or program, this is a huge benefit.
Customers have complained that GMail, GSuite, Google Drive and other applications do not integrate well with PracticePanther ,and there is a lot of extra data entry or glitches when trying to use through PracticePanther. This is unfortunate because of the market dominance that Google Products have, especially for smaller firms.
Customers have noted frustration about a lack of customization available for both billing and emailing. Date fields are also set and are unable to be edited to fit their individual needs.
There have been issues reported with the data mapping of saved files that come up with “user error” when a customer tries to retrieve files, but it is actually just a glitch in the mapping when the files were saved. Hopefully this will be resolved soon.
