Charter Spectrum, also known as Spectrum, has been operating since 1993 and is a household name in the United States. The company, which recently merged with Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks, serves more than six million people, making it the fourth largest cable company and one of the largest in the country.
Charter Spectrum provides internet speeds up to 60 Mbps with no data caps. Its internet service requires a one-year contract.
Spectrum offers services in a huge span of the country, especially compared to other internet service providers.
Charter has been able to grow rapidly in just a few decades, attributing this success in part to its customer service commitment. That commitment involves a fast broadband network and all the tools necessary to meet internet connection needs.
The Charter Spectrum team is willing to help their customers in any way they can to have a positive experience with their company. They offer cable and fiber-optic internet plans.
Spectrum internet doesn't limit its customers with data caps. A lot of competitors have data limits, and when customers go over these limits they pay fees or their services are disrupted. It's a convenience worth looking into, and this feature alone may be what steers you to Spectrum.
The Spectrum internet team knows losing internet service can mean losing time and money. At some point, you'll probably need a technician to come to your home or business to work on network equipment.
Many companies who send out technicians leave the time window wide open and make the customer wait for hours for the technician. Thankfully, Charter Spectrum is different. They set a two hour window that the technician will be there. If the technician does not make the allotted time, Charter Spectrum will pay the customer $20.
They also have a 30-day money-back guarantee their customers can take advantage of if they are not satisfied with their service or the products they receive.
Spectrum offers fiber-optic business internet for companies who want a fast connection for phone, internet, and TV service. Spectrum Enterprise also delivers cloud services for their business customers.
While Spectrum may not have a variety of standalone internet packages, they do have several options that can help you bundle internet, phone service, and cable channels:
While Spectrum does charge a fee to lease a router and another fee for installation, the company is more transparent than some service providers in the industry. Be sure to read contract terms thoroughly and take time to understand billing, your monthly rate, and whether you'll pay more after a certain duration of service.
Most internet service providers try to meet various audience needs by offering many different plans and bundles. These packages usually have a large selection of internet speeds (download and upload speeds), features, and prices to choose from. With all of these options, you're more likely to find the best fit for your specific internet and pricing needs. This is not the case with Spectrum internet, as they only offer their customers one package:
If you're only looking for internet and this package doesn't impress you, you'll need to choose another ISP.
However, you may be interested in Spectrum's internet and cable TV bundling options.
Charter Spectrum offers an internet speed of 60 Mbps. Some competitors offer high-speed internet up to 1 Gbps for slightly higher prices. Potential customers will have to decide what speed they need and if Spectrum internet service is capable of delivering these needs.

The cost is rising constantly and I am thinking of changing to another provider but at this point do ot want to go thru the hassle.
If I could give them zero stars I would have! After reading some of the other reviews I’m somewhat confused. Are they dealing with the same company I am? Different states perhaps? Plus side: Internet has been just fine. Negative: Cable channels constantly freezing up and worse support, customer service I have EVER dealt with. EVER! They are short, rude and simply just don’t care if you are satisfied or not. Supervisor was no better. I was told outright that if I wasn’t happy with their service I could take my business elsewhere. That’s their idea of customer service? Yes, it is. If you have any other providers available in your area choose ANYONE ELSE!! ANYONE!! I live in rural Florida and not many choices available unless you want a dish (dish tv, direct tv) and appears they are well aware of that fact. Choose any other provider!! Spectrum, to be blunt, absolutely sucks.
I have had a lot of problems with internet connection with this company. I've had to call in to check on what's wrong with my WiFi connection and there's always a long wait period.
The internet speed is decent for the most part. I had issues troubleshooting, and the service over the phone was very helpful.
Salesperson who signed me up for the service did not send out my modem properly. It would have never came if I didn’t call and check on it. HORRIBLE!! Not recommending to anybody.

Efficient and timely service, competitive rates, great service.
Reliability, economy, blazing fast speed.
My expierience with this provider has been mostly positive. The advertised DL speed is mostly under ideal conditions. What I get is generally adequite for my needs, though. T.V. reliability is 100% better than my previous service.

I hate them. They do not provide good service and they charge too much for it.
Internet connection has always been available without any blackouts.

Slow, extremely slow even though they claim we have the fast service. Too expensive and extremely unreliable. We have to turn off the unit several times a week because the Internet disappears. I wouldn't recommend Spectrum to my worst enemy.
There is NOTHING good about it. Terrible. Outrageous cost. NO customer service. They lie to you. It is just absolutely awful.
Dana L Jones-Nolan
Absolutely horrible service and price. I'm about to pull the plug on cable all together and just keep my internet.
Fast internet speeds with cable, price could be better for TV service and internet
They're getting to expensive. They lure you in with a 2 year program. Then hammer your backside with an increase in price.
Signal not always strong. In today's world the provider needs to realize the components utilizing services per household.
I've really had no issues with them except maybe slow or unavailable wifi
Faster and more consistent service. Too many interruptions!
What I expect now from cable companies...promise the moon, deliver 25% of that and keep increasing rates!
Too expensive. I am a small business owner and office out of my home. They are the only hardwire cable and internet provider in my neighborhood and they have me by the balls.....
Terrible customer support slow performance
Great. No outages. When you call customer service there is no long wait. That is the samw whwn you go in.
Its has been generally good, their price is competitive and their product reliable. They could improve eith more efficient customer service sttention and particularly better acheduling methods for technicians; including availability and communciation.
Cost was a major factor. Also more services for the money.
I enjpy the faster internet, but i question the availabilty and acess of the DVR server. Oftentimes the shows I tape i can't access. That's frustrating.
It costs too much for the value provided. I would change in a heartbeat if there was another provider I could use.
Not good. Interbet spotty. Slowed down.

good but expensive. Excellent high speed internet service
The speed is good but they seem to have service outage too often and it disrupts my business and usually last all day other than that they seem to be ok
Customer service is non-existent, they no longer accept payments at the local branch, and the internet service itself is lacking.
Our Spectrum internet has been easy to use and the speed is fast. I think that the price is great for the service that we have received.
Consistant connection issues, then they don't reduce monthly bill when they say they will
So so...many service interruptions, and steadily rising costs
Reliable but too expensive for internet only
Each department with in Spectrum very courteous, helpful. In our decision in choosing Spectrum with Internet & tv services was based on price. Services that are at a higher grade without the extreme price cost and changes showing on your bill. Also No 2year Service Contracts!!!!
Good: Good service, no downtime, good internet, easy connection & hookup: Bad paying for service you don't need(land line)
The people who come to the house to repair or to replace an item. The people who answer the phone are ill informed and rude.
Fast speed is the best i can say for them. Occassionally internet drops but i cannot be certsin it is their issue. Happens when in netflix.
Very very willing to get you situation, whatever it may be, fixed, once and gir all! The customer service has bent over backwards to help whenever we ask.
Experience has been OK. Bring price down for service.
Very good service give you a 1 hour time and they come. Excellent!
Spectrum has great internet and tv services. We are and have been satisfied with our service thus far. We wouldnt switch, price is right.
Took 2 months to do a drop bury and numerous phone calls with numerous supervisors to get a drop bury done. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH A VERY POOR BURIAL DEPARTMENT. Very disappointed with how i have been treated during this time. They won't admit fault and they tell me they wont give me somekind of compensation for my time of waiting and delaying my home remodel. So with this I say this company has poor customer service and poor company values. They will drag you along and wont help you when its done. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR MONEY NOT YOU. Thanks for screwing me Charter!!!!!!!
Good internet. Sometimes the signal is stronger on some days than other days, which I don’t understand, and I have to switch things around but something always works
Ruth Anne Bright
Poor customer service and very expensive. Unless policies change we will not do business with them again.
Decent Internet for a fair price that is pretty reliable. Haven’t been overly impressed nor have I been disappointed. Whenever there is a problem, they fix it immediately and customer service is always good. No problems with them thus far.
The service is poor, and the speed it worse. We were overpaying for sub-par service. Took hours on the phone to get them to deliver the promised speeds.
The service is good. The cable internet never goes out. The speeds are excellent as well. I do think the price is on the steep side.
I keep having outages. My internet works sometimes and then my router has random blinking lights which shows my internet is on but I can’t access anything onto it. This needs to be fixed! I am sick and tired of not having the internet me and my family wants!
No issues with customer service. Speed has not been an issue.
