Select home warranty taught me a serious lesson about believing every salesman you hear. I purchased this warranty and paid for a year in advance. Had to make three calls before anyone would listen. Finally they sent a contractor out. I paid him a fee just to find out Select Warranty had lied when they told me everything was covered. Select Warranty is the master of loopholes. When I purchased the warranty they got their money the same day. Of course now I have to wait 3 to 6 weeks to get my unused money back. DECEPTIVE!!!

Worst experience ever. Their customer service is terrible- they apparently have only 1 employee there who knows absolutely nothing. I submitted a claim 4 days ago for a busted water heater and have gotten no response other than the run around. They haven’t even called a tech. I strongly recommend not using this company. I should have looked at the reviews first. I don’t see how this article can rate them so high when 27% of their reviews are terrible. They don’t deserve the 1 star.

Very bad very slow service. The technicians are not good (they always send out people from companies with terrible Yelp and Google reviews). Also, despite their claim of service within 24-48 hours, it is never done that quickly. Someone reaches out to you to schedule an appointment in that timeframe and then the appointment is never the next day. Usually 4 days was the soonest, often not until the following week. Then they have to get the part and service approved which takes longer. We have usually waited 3-4 weeks to get anything repaired. Total waste of money and time.

This company is a major scam. They have a clause in their contract that states that they reserve the right to ask for 3 years of maintenance records for a claim. I have only lived in this house for 6 months, so I assumed that they would not ask for something that was not possible to produce. They will only pay $150 because I cannot furnish 3 years of records. So the warranty has no value to me. They took my money with no intentions of fulfilling my expectations, and they made no effort to settle this claim fairly.

Called about ac not cooling,gave runaround,for 2 weeks,before sent someone out,the repair man gave them a quote,didn't hear from them called back,they sent me to 5different people,they all said something diffrent,said my unit had leak,they would not fix it,the repair man didn't even check for leak,just a joke,they just dont want to fix any thing,good luck trying to understand them,just a big scam,!!!! Don't use this garbage home warranty company. You are much better off just saving the money and using it toward anything that breaks. Customer service is very poor. They have long wait times when you call in and for every claim, they always say that the item on the claim has depreciated beyond it's current value and just offer me a $75 check. I just bought a $120 garbage disposal 3 years ago and now they are only offering me $75 to go buy one and install it myself. What a waste of money! I will not be renewing and I suggest that you never use this company!

Purchased 2 home warranties for two investment properties. Within 9 months a called 3 times for different issues ( electrical problem on the dryer) Water leaking from the AC. Tickets were opened on the 3 occasions and the 3 of them were denied. Including the ticket opened because the fridge wasn’t cooling. I regret tremendously wasting my money in this company. Today the sales department called to see if I wanted to renew and when I explained why I wouldn’t the rep hanged up right away. Very unprofessional.

Absolutely garbage of a company. I purchased my home and add a home warranty from this company. When my AC unit stopped working they told me they had no contractors in my area and to find my own. The service fee per my contract is $75. But the service fee from my own tech (they forced me to find was $150). They denied the 700 service bill because I cannot prove 3yrs of service records for the home that I did not own.

Worst company ever! I called them with an electrical problem in the house. They wanted to charge me $60 per room that they needed to take a look at the outlets for even though the problem was all related. It was going to be cheaper for me to call and pay for my own electrician. What is the point of having a home warranty???? In addition to that, they denied a previous claim to replace the motor for my pool. They make a lot of promises but their service is non-existent. Don't waste your money with this company. Not reputable at all!!!!!

Pure garbage. Not above lying and misinforming customers. No doubt all their good reviews are not even real people! My family and I had to go for 3 months without heating or air conditioning (in the dead of winter) while they did nothing to help! Wife was pregnant, and now my newborn STILL does not have heat or AC! I would give negative stars if I could! DO NOT BUY THEIR LIES!
